UI/UX: AppleTV Remote Usability
Navigation on Apple TV is rather difficult. The UI seems overly sensitive to switching fields compared to Zwift. I try to swipe down to get to the next field, but it goes 2-3 fields ahead. It was similar when using the remote app on the phone as well. This is obviously not an issue for a computer that has a mouse, or touch screen display.
Likewise, using left/right/up/down to navigate the UI doesn’t always seem to go to the next field that seems intuitive.

I'm delighted to say that this week's release (v0.4.18) resolves the issues with the AppleTV remote.
Simply download the new TrainingPeaks Hub mobile app (available on both the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store), and use the built-in remote control function. This completely replaces the AppleTV remote, and enables you to easily and quickly navigate menus and enter text using your phone - a truly game-changing experience when using AppleTV.

App for iOS and Android, available for download on Apple TV.
I recently reviewed the application but found it only accessible via computer, without an iOS version available for Apple TV that could link to mobile devices. This functionality is offered by Zwift, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find a similar feature in TrainingPeaks Virtual. This limitation prevented me from fully using the software, as I was unable to link my Wahoo KICKR trainer to my Mac. Expanding compatibility to include an iOS version with Apple TV connectivity would significantly enhance usability for users with similar setups.

I'm pleased to say that TrainingPeaks Virtual is now freely available on Android, iOS (iPad / iPhone) and AppleTV from their respective App Stores.

Course profile preview
It would be nice to have a description with profile of course when selecting one to ride rather than just a list of meaningless names.
31 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is now fully supported in the latest release. Wherever you need to select a route (for example, when confirming a route to ride for a workout, or configuring your own new event) then it will now show you a picture of the route profile, as well as the name of the route.

UI/UX: Exit button in the Hub
I tried TPV for the first time after looking around it a bit. Seems the Hub is the central point for things to happen. You enter your activity from there and then end up back there afterwards. Big problem for me was I couldn't find where to quit the thing. There is no obvious easy to see button to Exit!!! First few times I ended up force quitting because I couldn't find how to get out. Eventually I found the save and exit button hidden at the end of all the other stuff in Options!!! This is so difficult to…

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.26, out this week) has fixed this and there is now an exit button clearly visible in the top right hand corner of every screen in the hub (and when riding in the world too).
Please note that on mobile devices, it is a policy of Apple / Google to not permit a user to click on a button to actually exit the app (they require you to swipe the app away to exit) so on mobile the button will simply exit the ride and take you back to the main login screen.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.27 - which is out today), introduces a brand new experience - GPXplore.- that enables you to ride any route you like simply by uploading a GPX file. This supports different road surfaces (tarmac, cobbles, gravel etc), as suggested.
Equally, and also as suggested, this change isn't forced onto anyone, so if you just want to ride on tarmac, then you can!
Initially we've opened up testing of GPXplore to everyone with a number of iconic "World Routes", and will rollout the ability to upload your own routes over the course of September. Thank you again for your suggestion, and hope that you enjoy riding whatever routes you want, whenever you want, on TrainingPeaks Virtual.

EVENTS: Meet Up's / Custom Workouts
Is there a way to do a group meet up where everyone stays together but is able to do their own workouts set out on training peaks. We have a lot of athletes on different plans so would be ideal.
26 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is now fully implemented in the latest release (v0.4.28, out today). When creating a group workout event, there is now a new option for a workout called "Rider's Choice". Simply select this and riders can select whatever workout they want (or no workout at all, and just free ride). They can also change workout at any time during the ride - so for example, doing a warm up, and then their main planned workout for the day.

Display interval completion banner on mini-map
The flame banners for interval completion are great, but they don't appear on the mini-map, which makes them hard to see when round a corner etc. At first glance, these things seem unimportant (there's a timer after all) but it's much easier to work towards a point in the road than to count down seconds.

Trainingpeaks virtual login screen
Please only show my account when the app has started up. Now I get the option new/existing/indievelo account. After clicking existing account everytime I again have to click my account name. It would really help if only my account is visible and it only costs one click

WORLD: Routes - Portal to Real Life Route. E.g. last 50km of Milan San Remo
Would love to try out some iconic well known routes. Would be fun to have virtual events and challenges leading up to real event.

WORLD: Equipment - Weight, aerodynamics etc
I think it would be in keeping with the goals of TPVirtual to have equipment choices. In real life, equipment choice is very important and impacts my race results. The bike i would choose in order to be competitive in flat TT race would be very different from what I would choose for a climbing race. Equipment must be bought IRL so perhaps a way to 'earn' it within the game would make sense? Regardless of whether it's considered a 'gamification' I think we should be able to have a 'garage' and some way to accumulate various equipment that we…

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.23) out today includes the addition of 2 new Time Trial bikes, and no less than 5 new wheelsets, including deep-section rims, 4-spokes and disc wheels.
Whilst the task of "adding more" will never be "complete" (and we have plans to continue working with manufacturers, so stay tuned for more updates), we'll now close this request as complete.

UI/UX: Add length and elevation gain in route selection
Add info about length and elevation gain of the route when in workout mode.
This will make it easier to select "finishable" routes for certain workouts.
21 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented, and when selecting a route to do a workout on, you can clearly see the distance, elevation, course profile and even a complete map of where it goes.

EVENTS: Upgrade bots AI for TTT
You need to upgrade your bot tactics in TTT because the bots behave like in a group race.
20 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that over the past year since this was raised, there have been numerous improvements to the bot AI, including adding specific TTT behaviour as you suggest.
Whilst there will always be more work we can do to improve the AI (and we'll continue to incrementally do that) now feels like a good time to close this issue, and any further tweaks can be managed in new more focussed suggestions as needed.

I use Apple TV for my zwift training. If training peaks virtual was on Apple TV I would move to it.
Please make this happen

ERG mode does not release after ending a workout.
ERG mode does not release after ending a workout.
End workout, exit workout, ERG mode will not disengage. Even ending the ride and returning to the Hub doesn't disengage ERG mode (or at least the resistance stays high).
I have to start a new ride (not a workout ride) in order for the resistance to drop to a reasonable level.
19 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.11) which is out today. This significantly improves the pairing infrastructure to resolve issues with ERG mode, sensors and dropouts.

Weight Sync from Trainingpeaks
Synchronize Weight from trainingpeaks to TPVirtual so you don't have to enter it twice.
The source shouldn't really matter. Should just be from the last entry.

Automatic sync of data between TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks Virtual (e.g. Name, FTP, TrainingZones, Weight etc) is now available in v0.4.4!

Add distance and climb to route drop-down menu
I would find it helpful when selecting a route to know the distance and total elevation climb (possibly noted next to the name of the route). Thanks.
17 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is now fully implemented. Each place where you can choose a route, now displays not only the route length / elevation as suggested, but also a full graph showing the complete route profile.

UI/UX: Mirror screens
It would be great to easily push your phone or tablet screen to a tv like in the attached picture.
One click to get the screen up on a tv

I'm delighted to say that the latest release of TrainingPeaks Virtual has enabled screen mirroring so you can now connect a TV to your phone and view your ride on the big screen.

UI/UX: Auto Login/Single Rider Home
I am the only one that rides in my home and this is quite trivial, but maybe allowing the 1 account that is configured on my TPV app to auto-login vs clicking the profile to login. Right now, it will show my profile/new profile/existing profile. An auto login check mark next to my account in my profile would just all me to skip this prompt and go straight into TPV.

I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.26, out this week). If there is only a single remembered user then you will be automatically logged in without you needing to make any additional clicks.
If you ever want to add a new user, then just log out (select the switch accounts button on the exit menu) and you'll have the option then to manually log a new user in.
