Right now we do not plan to write our own workout app for the Apple Watch. There are multiple apps already available for this that are compatible with TrainingPeaks. There are also multiple apps that will read data from HealthKit and write it to TrainingPeaks. We are working with a few developers to support our structured workouts as well.

These are a few apps that read data from HeathKit and write it to TrainingPeaks that we recommend.

These are a few apps for recording workouts for Apple Watch, that are better than Apple’s workout app, that we recommend.

    Dear Product Manager,

You state above that there are multiple apps already available that are compatible with TrainingPeaks - true. But that doesn't help with your TrainingPeaks Training Plans for structured workouts - intervals, etc.

As a follow-up, you mention that you are working with a few developers to support your structured workouts. I am sure most of us would prefer a native iWatch app that works directly with your platform - not a 3rd party that supports your structured workouts.

Not sure why you wouldn't invest further in iOS since you have an iPhone app, by developing and offering a native iWatch app.

Strava has both an iPhone and iWatch app and so does Nike. However, Strava doesn't yet support structured workouts. Nike has Guided Workouts in their Nike Run Club app which are nice, as they offer Intervals and Fartlek workouts. This is great but doesn't give you the flexibility to edit these workouts and customize them appropriately.

You have an awesome platform for athletes and coaches and what really separates you from an athlete perspective is the Training Plans that you can purchase or build your own or have a coach build one.

Hope you will reconsider your present position on the matter.

    Thanks,

    Mark
