Bug - using Bontrager Duotrap cadence sensor
I am impressed by how much the terrain/wind feed back into the feel of the training. I like it very much more than Zwift. My power reporting seems much more realistic.
I found two things, though, that I think you may want to look at.
I paired my Bontrager Duotrap 2 with the platform. While it paired and looked like it was going to work, I got zeros for cadence in my reporting. This is very much like when I tried to pair my Duotrap 2 with my Garmin Edge 530 as a Cadence sensor and not as a Speed/Cadence sensor.
When I was not able to successfully use the Duotrap, I restarted the workout and used the cadence sensor on the Wahoo Kickr. Using Zwift this reports cadence well enough. When going uphill I dropped cadence to match the workout power targets. The reported cadence would take a long time to come back up to what I knew I was doing in cadence. An example would be I would drop cadence to around 50 to 60 RPM. It could have been as low as 40 RPM, but when I picked the cadence back up it continued to report 40 RPM for quite some time. I tried a similar workout in Zwift today to see if this occurs on both platforms, but with similar conditions on Zwift I did not see the same thing.
