Manually Start/Stop Laps/Intervals
A button or key that allows user to start/stop laps during rides. For example during a free ride or any non-ERG ride, if I wany to mix in a few intervals it would be nice to be able to somehow start/stop an interval throughout the ride. Even better would be if the HUD showed metrics for the current lap/interval ... allowing us to monitor/maintain a specific power range, heartrate range, interval duration, etc. This would be a great option for less-structured intervals, like I think many of us do outdoors using a head unit.

Improve sensor connectivity
The one issue that's repeated several times for me, is a loss of heartrate monitor connection during a ride. Prior to today, the only time I had a problem is when I'd take a brief break during a ride (bathroom, fill water bottle, etc.), then when I returned to the bike, the heartrate monitor would no longer be transmitting heartrate data, even though it still showed connected on TPV. Today the issue occurred again while I was still riding (about 50m into a 60m ride). I never left the bike, and never stopped pedaling ... around the 50-minute mark, the…

Feature idea: Stem notes - cue sheets functionality
Summary: Stem notes aka cue sheets functionality when signing up to the event.
Stem note cue sheets would be a great way to plan a race or ride. For example in group rides or TT race they can be used to write down power targets either in time or kilometer scale, like from 5th kilometer (or 30th minute of the ride)) apply 250 W (for 10 minutes) and so on.
Like 25 km- >30 km P: 250 W, T: 1 0 min or
Like 5 min- >15 min P: 300 WThey could be used also traditional way to write…

garmin heart rate
I'm running TrainingPeaks Virtual on a Samsung tablet. Everything works fine, except for heart rate. I have a Garmin HRM, which is detected and paired. It shows the battery level for the HRM, but not any heart rate reading. This makes it pointless for me doing ride and workouts. I've done a couple, recording on my Garmin cycle computer, but that's less than ideal for syncing back to TrainingPeaks.

Remove Dropdown List UI Elements for Popover
Problem: Current UI design uses Dropdown List in many of the advanced setting screen. This type of UI offers a bad UX for people on mobile (ie. small screen with fat fingers) or for devices that uses limited remote control (ie. Apple TV).
Recommendation: Remove the dropdown list and use Popover to simplify UI for all platform.
For example when creating an event and selecting a route, instead of a dropdown list with a tiny scroll, have a scrollable popover menu with larger touch area with the first list item (or previous selected) highlighted. Popover menu will have the highest…

Currently the shadows cast are of only the bike. Could the rider be included?

Show hand on the bars
I enjoy the fpv (view 3) and would like to see hands in the bars. It would also be neat it they showed braking as well.

Training Peaks Virtual does not switch from OFFLINE MODE to ONLINE MODE
If the connection with the server is briefly lost, Training Peaks Virtual attempts to Reconnect. If this fails, the session switches to OFFLINE MODE.
After this, even with normal operation of the Internet connection (tested more than once), the client does not return to ONLINE MODE, remaining in OFFLINE MODE until the end of workout.9 votes -
avatar rocking side to side when pedaling?
seems like the recent build introduced (or increased) the side to side rocking of the avatar while pedaling. I appreciate the "life-like" improvements but its pretty distracting - can it be toned down or turned off?

Allow rider to stay in world when exiting an event
Very occasionally I have DNF an event consisting of a lot of climbing, when it just isn't happening that day. I would like to be able to exit the event, but stay in the world so that I can either ride down the mountain or even just to do a bit of a cool down in the same activity.

TP workout/builder support
TPV understands and plays .zwo files perfectly. This means TPV can already handle the <FreeRide> and <Ramp> instructions.
However (as a coach) you normally create workouts with the TrainingPeaks WorkoutBuilder and have the athletes export them to the desired platform. Which is not even necessary with TPV.
Unfortunately I have no way to mark an interval as "FreeRide" in the WB. This is necessary for all forms of tests e.g. FTP, max. efforts, etc., and "Ride by feel" sections.
Not as much important are ramps. While we have fixed step intervals in the WB it would be nice to have…6 votes -
Bug: App doesn't launch when a Stryd running power meter is within Bluetooth range.
I couldn't start Trainingpeaks virtual on either iOS or Windows. It would always get stuck at "Verifying Content".
After looking at the log file on Windows it seems that it was trying to connect to my Stryd running power meter. It would try to connect, fail and the try again getting stuck in a loop.
When I moved the Stryd out of Bluetooth range the the app started fine.
The Windows log file is attached.1 vote -
