How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Enable the dashboard pie chart to display further than 1000km for rowing

    Configuring the dashboard pie chart to display further than 999,999m for rowing would be helpful as many people row this far within a year. Or maybe allow for some kind of "lifetime distance" option.

    • ATP Running durations longer than "2+ hours" for ultra endurance athletes.

      Ultra runners routinely run longer than "2+ hours," and it would be helpful to have the option to chose longer ATP durations than are currently available.

      • Allow self-coached Athletes to create their own Training Plans rather than only Coaches

        Allowing creation of a Training Plan (or perhaps more than one) for the self-coached athlete would be of great help. Preventing the sharing of an Athlete created Training Plan should provide the subscription distinction between a Premium Athlete and a Coach. An Athlete shouldn't have to subscribe as a coach to create their own Training Plan.

        • Planned start time in iOS app

          Provide the option to see Planned Start Time in the calendar view in the devices (iOS) app, just like has been newly implemented in the browser Calendar view (app.trainingpeaks.com).

          • Tagging Laps/Sections of workouts

            Problem: I want to be able to track a variety of sections of workouts and compare them with others.

            For example one of the sessions I do a lot is an AeT ride - so I ride for long intervals at a set Heart Rate of Z2-2.5.

            I like to chart these sessions over time to see progress in power/EF. Also other metrics such was decoupling and time. (See attachment). This is a time consuming process.

            How I see this working:
            Make a selection of a work out (or select a Lap) and tag it with one or more tags. …

              • Power/HR/cad distribution at dashboard

                TrainingPeaks&Android app: Please add feature and charts of distribution of Power/HR/cad at user given bins (1W,2W,5W,...) through specific time (1week, 1month, specific microcycle,...) at the dashboard. It would be very useful to see detailed training and time/percentage at specific wattage/HR/cad through the period of time, specified by user.

                • Grouping of Dashboard charts

                  The Dashboard can be configured with a LOT of charts, which can serve several different purposes. These purposes seem to be primarily (to my mind): Evaluation of current fitness (power/pace/heart-rate profiles), Training plan design/modification (time in zones, PMCs, planned/completed durations by sport), and health/well-being (nutrition, metrics). Of course, many of these charts can be configured to suit different purposes (even having multiple copies configured separately), so the above categorization is somewhat arbitrary---further there may be other categorizations that I haven't listed here (perhaps organizing by sport rather than evaluation intent).

                  It would be useful to allow the user to categorize/group…

                    New updated are great. Can you change your email subject line back to what it was. I have set up rules in outlook to move athlete notification emails to specific folders. With the current subject line, Athlete Name, Date, "workout has been updated..." I cant set up outlook to move the email messages. The old subject line, Athlete name, "workout scheduled on", date, has been updated works perfectly.

                      Would be great to be able to have units as say statute for bike& run but metric for swim as we have 25mtr pools in uk?
                      Most uk athletes I know run & bike in miles but swim in Mtrs.

                        Sería muy interesante que los entrenadores que trabajamos con ciclistas de todas las modalidades tuvieramos un ICONO para identificarlas, yo añadiría el de CICLOCROSS y el de PISTA.
                        Además otros iconos como el de TESTS DE CAMPO, TESTS DE LABORATORIO y ANALITICA seria muy utiles.

                          • It would be great to have the same functionality in the brick workout type that you have added to the event type.

                            Now that you can combine multiple files into an event it would be nice to be able to have that same functionality added to the brick workout type,

                                I really like the synchronization for workouts from garmin connect to trainingpeaks but I would love to see these feature for the metrics like sleep, HR in rest, weight,...

                                  I would like to see the ability to customize the Dashboard for each athlete and groups of athletes separately. As I have athletes who do triathlons and there are athletes who only do biking, runing or mountain biking. And some charts just don't need when I switch between the athletes! And if possible configure Dashboard for each athlete or group of athletes will have the opportunity to build the Dashboard for themselves for the experience! Thank you!

                                    Hi,

                                    Would it be possible to have a chart on the dashboard which showed net calories per day/week/month (that is, calories consumed minus calories burned)?

                                    At the moment I can only get a chart showing calories expended and calories consumed.

                                      Have different Comliance colours for surpassing "Planned Time" vs not meeting "Planned Time". Currently exceeding and failing are the same colour. I suggest a light blue for being 125% of planned time and purple for being 150% of the planned time.
                                      This would make the calendar much easier to read at a glance when looking at your history.

                                        I would like edit the week description in the ATP manually.
                                        For example: preparation period, specific preparation period, competition period, taper....It should be possible to create week 1-12 like the personal makro- or meso cycle.

                                          why are you developing sophisticated calculation and new data fields etc... and still unable or unwilling to offer us the possibility of printing out weekly schedules/training programs/goals, the way it used to be in the older version ?? there are obviously a lot of people asking for it and it would be really good to have this back!
