How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Add a "Trash" bin where calendar workouts can be "drag and drop"

    Too many clicks to delete a Calendar Workout.
    You should be able to just drag-and-drop to a trash bin icon/area somewhere. Thanks!

    • Daily TSS summary

      Show the daily TSS summary of the workouts in the athlete's home, right of the title "Today". Like the week summary "Total TSS" on the calendar.
      Useful when doing many small workouts.

        post activity comment window too small. When editing the comments there are only 3 lines visible. It'd be so much user friendly when User could change this box dynamically by scrolling. Sometimes when posting the long text is not easy to read the whole text to catch the context.

          post activity comments not saved when go offline or when do very fast save! I am pretty sure this is a bug and should be easy fixed. During:
          - posting long description of the workout
          - posting post activity comments
          sometimes when clicking SAVE + CLOSE button the whole text is not saved and removed, especially when internet is down (when traveling). Auto save option should be available or at least saved locally in the browser so data are synchronized.

          • Ability for athletes to change workout intensity methodolgy

            According to this article (https://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/articles/235164967-Workout-Builder) coaches has the ability to change the intensity methodology however it appears that in the Athlete addition we are unable to do this.

            Would this feature be available to athletes in the future (I have created a load of workouts based on FTP and want to be able to convert them back and forth to/from Threshold HR).

            "A workout built with the Workout Builder in a Coach's library can also be converted from one intensity to another."

              Hello,

              I'd like my athletes to rate their session in between 1 to 10 or 6 to 20 (Borg's scale) and 'd like to have the session time * RPE visible. Is their something you can do?

              • Detailed Limiters in ATP

                In the ATP you have the several Limiters for swim, bike and run where you can set a hook. I think it would be better if you can make a free describtion of your Limiter. Like in the field "Details". I think it would much more precise. Esspecially if a coach definie it.

                • Allow specifically "athlete comments" only notifications by e-mail.

                  I would find it helpful to be able to specifically receive notifications for user comments and exclude workout completed and uploads. It is available for in-app and mobile but not e-mail .... perhaps there is a good reason for this?

                    Also, keep swim metric even when using English i.e miles/yards. Who swims yards these days?

                      Total time would help identify if people were taking long breaks on their workouts.

                      Running dynamics similar to the ones Garmin connect has. If you added this then I wouldn't have to open another app to view their data.

                        Allow me to remove all peaks from a specific activity, from the activity screen. Some activities are just not right, and now one has to remove each peak individually, instead of making all peaks from one invalid.

                          Idea:
                          Save *an entire week* of workouts in the Workout Library, and then be able to copy that *entire (saved) week* into another week from the workout library. Currently, AFAIK, it's only possible to drag 1 workout at a time to the workout library. (If this is incorrect for premium users, please point me to instructions.)

                          Reasons:
                          1. I often hit 'repeat' for a week of workouts, for weeks at a time. Currently I have to copy/paste every workout for that week from a previous week. This can be rather laborious.

                          • Import structured workouts to planned wokouts/workout builder

                            The ability to build workouts in Trainingpeaks and export to other platforms for playback is great, especially the recent Zwift integration. However. Having used other platforms I have built my own library of structured trainer workouts in various formats. It would have been a great addition to the workout planner if it enabled to import structured workouts in various formats, ea. .zwo and .zwift. With this feature it would be easier to estimate more precise fittnes and fatigue when planning. Premium trainingpeaks is somewhat limited in this aspect. Also edititing imported planned workouts would be nice.

                              When creating workout targets in the workout builder, allow setting target values for duration in range.

                              For example, currently instead of 10 min warm up at 60%,
                              allow setting 10 min warm up at 60% - 65% (this is usually how coaches specify target values..).

                              This should also apply for actual values, not just percentage of TH. e.g., 10 min warm up at 100 - 120 bpm / 120-150 watt).

                              • Expand Workout Builder to include all Garmin workout targets

                                Expand the workout builder to include all workout targets available on Garmin devices. Pace, Speed, Cadence as intensity targets and duration to include lap press, HR, etc.

                                Basically, as a coach, I want to be able to use all of these (at various times) to create workouts. Presently, I'm only able to use workout builder for a fraction of my workouts because of these constraints not being available.

                                  Similar to the ability in WKO+, I would like to have the ability to add an arbitrarily defined line to a chart. For example I'd like to be able to add a line at -33 TSB on a PMC chart, or I might want to draw a line on a metric chart at 6 hours of sleep, etc. Adding the ability to the TP online PMC charts would be the most immediately helpful thing for me since I like to ensure that TSB doesn't drop too far below a given level depending on the athlete, and hence the need to…

                                    It would be helpful if you added more/minor grid lines to the peak graphs so that a line can be traced from the axis more easily. Or even better, a tool tip so that you can mouse over any part of the line and get the data point

                                      It would be helpful if you added 40, 45 or 50min peak power and HR. Many crits and cross races are 40-60min and knowing my maxes in those intervals helps immensely with pacing.

                                        • Quality of sleep should affect the Form-curve in Perfomance Management

                                          It should be great if the qualtity of sleep tracked by a fitbit (fytnessyncer) or garmin device should affect the fatigue and Form.

                                          Bad sleep after a huge training affects the form and fatigue.
