How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Allow batch editing of workouts (tags)

    When filtering workouts, allow applying/removing tags to multiple workouts. Right now it doesn't seem possible to edit them other than one by one.

    Suggested methods:
    • Add ability to select multiple workouts to apply or remove tags
    • If one-by-one is desired by devs, add some NEXT/PREVIOUS buttons in workout detail windows to be able to move down the list of workouts sequentially. This is easier than opening one, editing tags, closing, then opening the next.

    • Bring Pmax, mFTP, FRC, Stamina and TTE metrics to TrainingPeaks

      Provide Pmax, mFTP, FRC, Stamina and TTE in TrainingPeaks; don't limit them to WKO4. I prefer software as a service so I can access my training data from any device and would love to explore these newer metrics.

      • Copy week by workout type

        I recently created my own training plan for a triathlon where I feel I was well prepared for the run, but the swim and bike needed some extra work. When I am planning for my next race, I would like to copy only the runs I had planned for my previous race's training plan. A feature that lets you copy a week of workouts by workout type would be very helpful.

        • Apply Events to other athletes.

          It would be awesome if, when creating an event for an athlete, there was a button to apply that same event to other athletes. Many times I will have athletes do the same race. Currently I either have to manually go to each athlete to create the event, or I can create a "plan" with just the event in it and apply that Plan to all the athletes doing it (I don't like doing this, because then I end up with tons of plans). Additionally, it would be really cool if you could then update ATPs right from that event…

          • Create "Event" as Workout Option

            It would be great to see the green "event" cup as a workout option, same as bike, run, other, etc. The green cup is a great way to denote an event on the calendar but editing them is horribly inefficient. It would be awesome if you could edit them the same way you do any other workout. Creating an event is cumbersome and inefficient because you then have to add a second workout to it. Please and thank you!

            • Allow Customization of Training Plan Store Display on Coach End

              Training plans for purchase in the Training Plan Store all display an algorithm of info from the plans. In a longer plan (12+ weeks), it would be really nice, as an athlete, to see some of the later workout examples since some of those closer-to-race workouts are more important than simple mileage work. As a coach, it would be fantastic to be able to select some of the more dynamic workouts to show off the art and science of your methodology, rather than have the algorithm just randomly end up displaying easy runs and non-integral workouts from your plan.

                Repeat Coupon Code Use by Same Athlete: Allow Option by letting coach check a box for that particular coupon code, which would allow it to be used repeatedly for multiple plans by one athlete.

                    It would be nice to see which outside services such as Garmin are connected to my TrainingPeaks account. Most other places have something like this to view connected apps.

                      Please allow users the option for choosing which primary metric to display in Quick Views--duration, distance, TSS, power, etc, regardless of whether the workout is planned or not.

                      Currently, for completed workouts it will always show distance, however for workouts planned by duration it will show as duration.

                        Activities are displayed on the calendar tab, which shows a few lines of the description. But this description is the part that matters most. It matters more than the statistics and numerical data. So it would be good if the activities were displayed as a blog. That is, as a date ordered list with text featuring as prominent and statistics sparingly displayed, with a click through then opening the activity window in its detail.

                        • Sync Training Peaks time to Google Calendar

                          Currently when you sync a Training Peaks workout and Google Calendar you only get the exercise on the day.

                          Unfortunately it doesn't sync the time across and you cannot edit the time in the calendar unless you copy it (which then makes amendments in Training Peaks not push through).

                          Would be great if the 'time and date' component of a planned activity carried to Google Calendar.

                          • Adding custom percentages training zones (heart rate, power, pace...)

                            I mean that I introduce my own percentages and automatically calculate, for example, the pace of each zone. Now I know that I can use my own zones manually.

                              Add ability to upload historical metrics from a file, specifically weight & body fat% from a Withings/Nokia Weight Scale export file, but maybe this can be a more general feature where data from "any" source is prepared in a .csv file and uploaded.

                                Give us the ability to select what data gets synched to TrainingPeaks.

                                EXAMPLE:
                                [ ] Swim
                                [x] Bike
                                [x] Run
                                [ ] Strength
                                [ ] Triathlon

                                WHY
                                I do not want my swim workouts to sync, HOWEVER, I want everything else to synch.

                                WHY:
                                My coach and I do not find the Garmin swim data 'spectacular' and when I complete the activity 100%, TP still marks it as not complete.

                                I am currently marking the Swim activity as complete.

                                • Running Race duration more the 2 hour.

                                  I train ultra runners. When I write a race in TP, there is no option for more than 2h running and my athletes spend more than 10h

                                      Can you allow data from the oura ring be imported as metrics data to TrainingPeaks. This would be for the resting heart rate, HRV and body temperature.

                                      • Measuring progress in speed at a given fixed HR

                                        I am wondering if you would like to put up a feature that allows me to follow my fitness progress - not from pur speed perspective but form speed at a HR perspective?
                                        What I want to compare is that at a certain base HR range (for me below 140 bpm) how is my speed progress at that HR? am I getting after at this HR or slower?

                                        This way you know at a given stress rate if you are faster (more fit) or slower (less fit)

                                        • stop the athlete from changing the workout which I planned before - generally and not only with the lock button in the calendar

                                          there is not way to stop the athlete from changing the workout generally once it's on their account.
