  1. Please allow specifying a rep range for strength workout exercises, not just a target rep. The New Strength Builder is a great step in the right direction to fully-functional programming of strength workouts in TrainingPeaks, but it is still missing critical features like this.

Being able to specify the rep range is important for communicating and adhering to the workout plan. For example, if the coach programs 4 reps with the mindset of "at least 4" and the athlete executes 3 because it is "about 4", this is quite different than if the coach programs 15 reps intending a range…

  2. It would be great if the first result(s) are the most common or generic option when adding an exercise to the plan. While it is nice the New Strength Builder has a large library of exercise (names) to choose from, this plethora of variations makes it difficult to prescribe just the most basic exercise.

For example, if I search "squat", I most likely want a back squat, not an air squat, anderson squat, cossack squat, etc. This most-common variant could even be bolded or highlighted in such a way to indicate it is recommended.

This is important when exercises are…

  3. I don't see where the new strength workout includes TSS or IF for a completed workout. And it also seems that the auto sync for Apple and for Garmin doesn't pair either. Strength workouts add stress so they should have a TSS!

  4. To prescribe strength workouts using RPE, you have to enter these details in the coaching comments section...this is a laborious and inflexible solution to programming strength workouts using RPE (like the endurance workout builder allows).

My suggestion is to include RPE as a parameter in building strength workouts. This would vastly improve each workout's flexibility, precision, and presentation.

  5. Love the new strength training interface. Is there a way that the new strength training feature can pull up old history of weights used in past workouts? That would be a helpful feature for clients to see what they did last sessions with the same exercise

  6. Right now the search function is not great. If you search for things out of order or with incomplete words, search does not function as it should, so you effectively have to know the name of the workout you're searching for and type it in sequence, in full.

For example, "Swiss Ball Back Extension" cannot be found by searching "back extension" "swiss back."

The builder is also clunky, taking >1gb to run, which makes it run slowly by today's standards. Not sure if there's a solution for this, but it looks like it runs about 5-10x bigger than most web…

  7. Ability to have uploaded strength workouts auto sync with the new strength programming sessions programmed for athletes in their programs as currently it keeps them separated and cannot lync/sync them together to be completed unless you check off each and every exercise.

  8. I really love the new "strength" tool! it will be useful to put an option of rest time. Between exercises and between sets! I want to give some "tabata" workouts: 8 sets, 20 sec workout at 100% effort, 10 sec rest.

  9. Currently when using either the Android or IOS app, there is no way to actually see the specific steps of a given workout in the library except by adding it to the calendar then going into the calendar details.

Would be much better if the specific steps of the workout can be viewed directly from the library.

  10. Please add longer standard durations for Peaks. Currently the max duration for measuring power or HR is 90 minutes. However, many fitness events, for example Gravel cycling or running marathons, last much longer than 90 minutes. Being able to measure performance over longer durations than 90 minutes is a key requirement, in training for events such as these.
There are other Ideas for the ability to define custom durations. That would be very good, but would also take quite a bit of developer time to implement since it’s a more complex function. As a short term, easier-to-implement enhancement, please just…

  11. I create a weekly workout plan from my Workout Library. If I do this on the web-based version I can simply drag-and-drop the WO from the library onto the desired calendar day.

However, if I use the mobile version there is no choice of target calendar days and so the WO is copied to the current day. This requires the additional steps of having to then edit the WO and change it to the desired date.

It would be nice in the mobile version if you could specify the target date when copying from the library.

  12. dont let athletes respond to coaches comments via email.

For example, TP generates an email letting the athlete know that I have commented on their workout. Instead of replying to my comment on TrainingPeaks, they instead reply via email, which derails the conversation and makes it hard to go back and look at a reply chain that now exists, in pieces, in 2 places.

  13. Hi,
it would be great if the website would use the time/data settings from the account settings. At the moment it shows not the 24h setting. The Date is also not showing dd/mm/yy.

    thx

  14. A lot of people identify as non binary so would be good to have the option of NB under gender. Races are giving the option of non binary, recently London and Chicago marathons added it as a race category.

  15. When workout builder is updated, please consider adding nested repeats. Right now, I need to layout all my sub-repeats and then copy everything again. I realize that may be hard to follow non-visually, so... an example is below. So, for this example, I'd want to set a high level repeat of 2 and then have the individual repeat sets underneath.

    Core 1200yd - REPEAT x2
    1 x 100yd Freestyle (Endurance Pace)
    4 x 50yd Freestyle Kick with Fins
6 x 50yd Freestyle Pull with Pull buoy

  16. I have both a Garmin and an Apple Watch (as do athletes that I coach). I feel that the health metrics from the AppleWatch are richer than they are on Garmin. I've been sending mine to TrainingPeaks via HealthFit and it's generally working out pretty well. The only thing I don't really love is the data isn't aggregated to one daily metric per day. I'd HRV, Pulse for one, SPO2 for another Weight for another (and then I go combine into 1 EVERY DAY.

Native support would make this process much easier.

  17. Allow metrics cards to be merged together automatically.

I have several devices reporting metrics (e.g. an Oura ring upload sleep data, my Withings scale uploads weight data, etc), but each of these devices creates its own metrics card with potentially repeated data. ITs not obvious which one I should add subjective metrics too then (subjective fatigue etc).

Training peaks should allow me to combine metrics cards automatically so I get one card per day with the metrics from that day.

  18. Due to displaying multiple scales on the same chart and that the data is fairly well-bounded, the plots of metrics feels very "choppy." It'd be nice to have an option to display data in a rolling average form to smooth it out. Businesses already do this for displaying YoY data for the same reason. See attached screenshot as an example.

  20. On iPad (or Android) when I go to add a workout to my schedule, I am unable to filter the workouts, but have to look through the entire list for the workout I want to use. I would like to be able to filter the same as in the website, by TSS and time when updating my schedule on a mobile device.
