EVENTS: PV DQs warning first
For PV DQs for e.g. micro-bursting, give one warning before DQ. This would give inadvertent riders an opportunity to reflect and correct, but not unduly help those trying to game the system. (In fact in this situation the only way to game the system is to pedal in a more satisfactory style anyway)
Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that there have been many improvements to Performance Verification over the past year since this issue was raised. In particular, we have reduced the penalty for not complying with many of the event requirements set by the organiser to just putting the brakes on, enabling you to fix the issue rather than being automatically removed from the event.
We've also improved the physics engine to completely eliminate Sticky-Watts / Micro-Bursting as a technique to gain an advantage (try it - you'll now go much slower, just as you would on a bike outdoors!).
Whilst we will continue to work on improving Performance Verification, now seems like a good time to close this wider issue. Further suggestions for how to make TrainingPeaks Virtual even better are warmly welcomed though - please just raise a new issue and we can take a look!

I was booted out of a race today for micro, bursting or erratic peddling. I don’t understand why this would boot me. We were coming to the end of the last four laps in a points race and I was spinning to stay with the pack that was accelerating and then coasting and then spinning and coasting to keep my position. I got booted out of the race while in first place. Obviously this is virtual racing, really doesn’t matter and I’m only doing this as a 55-year-old old man to avoid a heart attack. But I believe I was unfairly relegated. I do agree in at least getting a warning, but I don’t really understand the issue regardless.
