MECHANICS: Making the program more realistic for petite riders
I may be the only one with this issue. I weigh just under 100 lbs. I am just over 5 feet tall. Riding TP is nothing like riding in the real world for me. Zwift did the best job of adapting to a small rider like myself. Maybe I'm outside the bell shaped curve for the physics in the program. It's very frustrating for me to be 20 minutes to 1.5 hours in front of competitors on the road or gravel who are beating me by 5-7 minutes on TP. At least with Zwift, we were within seconds. I can't hang on descents - bigger riders are coasting and I'm pedaling furiously at high watts (for me) to try to hang on, but ultimately, any surge and I'm out. This doesn't happen on the road. I can hang with a rider who is going over 50 mph despite my small size (by having good drafting skills). I could hang with riders on descents in Zwift, but not on TP (or MyWhoosh). I'm not doing as well on the climbs (actually far off the mark) than I do outside with the same riders (even with wind). I'm just hoping you might be able to improve the TP experience for very light and small riders. I'm losing my interest in staying with TP for the winter months.
