Add the Géant de Provence to TPV
For quite some time now, I have been toying with the idea of virtually cycling all three climbs of Mont Ventoux in one day.
In principle, completing the route that is necessary in the real world to be accepted into the club Les Cinglés du Mont-Ventoux.
This iconic moutain is very popular without a question, i dare to say.
Climbs of the mountain have be integrated in étapes of the Tour de France more than 15 times.
To date, there are almost 20000 members of the club Les Cinglés du Mont-Ventoux, all having accomplished the above challenge with a certificate.
With GPXplore it now would be possible, to turning my idea into reality, so I had hoped.
Organising an event of this nature at the weekend of the approaching Free4All might be quite attractive, I thought. Perfect timing.
However
Given the nature of the entire route, it doesn't look as good as it could, unfortunately. The overlapping road surfaces don't do the graphical capabilities TPV justice either. My hope was, riders descending could see riders climbing up too. Meaning, the imported track would result into combined roads, where the same road was used when creating the track. I'm a bit hesitant to make this event public as mentioned on Discord.
This is the reason for writing this user voice idea:
I'd love to see the Géant de Provence integrated into TPV.
Ideally with it's main landmarks like the tower on the top, the Chalet Reynard, the Tom Simpson memorial. Woodland, matching the existing woodland in reality more or less.
Integrating it to the main? world would further let one choose the start of climbing, and mitigate the problems mentioned above too.
I myself had used the no longer existant BKool for preparing before becoming a club Les Cinglés member. Others might use TPV for it in future. Who knows.
The area could be even be extended in future with e.g. by adding the Gorges de la Nesque.
Even if this idea is thought for food for how to improve GPXplore in the end, it would be cool.
P.S. It's not possible to add the GPX file here. It's been linked to in Discord

And the "generic" version of this would be for TPV to offer a good way to "snap overlapping roads from different circuits/laps together"
(example : a long circuit and a short circuit, alternating, which use a common 5km-road, should allow to "snap" these 5 kilometers so that there is no visual glitch when riding either the short or the long part of the circuit)
