The “Last 7 Days” date range allow you to see today and what you did on the same day last week. This is the same in the mobile apps and in the web app. This works well for the graphs. For the summary reports there are other date range options that can be used in the mobile apps that include just 7 days: “This Week”, “Last Week”, and “Next Week”.

Agree with James 100% I don't know anyone who works in 8 day periods, or with 8 day training plan, they are all week-based, so you want a rolling 7 day view of your stats. For example, if I look at my stats Sunday afternoon after the long bike ride, I don't want those stats to include the previous Sunday's long bike ride, I want just 7 days worth of data, so that I can compare my performance to the previous week.
