I use TPV riding my bike on rollers with my iPad on a stand about 3 feet from my front tire. Many of the dashboard stats are tiny, and hard to read, especially if you are doing planned workouts with targets. Dashboard stats need the ability to be screen width and half the screen height if possible.

TPV needs the ability to delete rides from activity history. I have had rides which I started where I had some problems syncing my power and cadence sensors and I ended up having to kill and restart the ride. I’ve also had rides where I was testing equipment or app settings and started rides which lasted under a couple of minutes. I now have those rides, which weren’t real rides at all, as a permanent part of my activity history because I cannot delete them. That is going to skew any cumulative results.

While planned workouts download to both TPV and Garmin Edge computers, they do not sync, so that you have to use one or the other. While you can try to start both at the same time, it isn’t exact, and if you stop or pause, the two get completely out of sync, with different targets at different times. Additionally, because TPV dashboard stats are hard to see on an iPad while riding, I can see them much better on my Garmin head, and additionally my Garmin displays wattage targets as ranges, the cycling computer is by far the better option for doing planned wattage-targeted workouts. While I’d like to use TPV, it is all but useless for planned wattage-targeted workouts. If TPV could sync with the Garmin’s start / stop, I could use them both simultaneously.
