How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Are there any plans to integrate with Apple's new HealthKit platform?

    It would be nice if TP integrated with Apple's new HealthKit platform. I use TP as my primary tracking resource. But there are some things that it doesn't do (or need to do for that matter). It would be nice if activities/metrics synced with HealthKit.

      BSX Insight will soon be releasing their Lactate Threshold device to create personalised zones. It would be great if Training Peaks could sync with the Insight account to deliver upto date zones.

        Would like to see synced support for the kinematic metrics that Runscribe are bringing out in it's new device. It would create some great information about our run but also some useful information about our shoes.

          It would be great to be able to report or chart on specific workouts. I've built my workouts (I'm a self coached XC skier) as templates, For example "AT Intervals", which consists of warm up; # & duration of work intervals say 10 X 4 minutes; rest intervals, say 10 X 1 min; and warm down. I do one of these each week, so I drag the workout to the calendar and then modify the times for that day to what I have planned for the week. I have to use Classic to do this until you add it to…

            I would like to be able to see the total hours completed for the date range on the dashboard. This way if I set the dashboard range to be my training year to date, I see my total completed duration to date for the training year. Otherwise I have to use the monthly and/or weekly table and add it up manually - seems silly. A GREAT SOLUTION would be to add the total to the margin of the Completed Duration Pie Chart in conjunction with my other suggestion to add the duration to the 'slices' on the chart instead of…

            • Completed Duration Pie Chart in Beta should show time not just %

              The Beta completed duration pie chart shows only % while the Classic shows duration and %. The % can be estimated visually, but (in my opinion) isn't really important. What I really want to know is how many hours have I spent running, how many cycling, roller skiing, doing strength, etc.

                  Where I run, there are no flat areas. As such the pace by zone and instant pace on graph are not terribly useful to me. But if both of those were available as NGP, it would be great.

                    The maps do not zoom in as far as in the Flex version or other fitness software. It's really helpful to be able to zoom in extremely closely in some situations, and often when looking at off-road cycling activities (e.g., cyclocross), it's very insightful to be able to see in close detail on the map the course ridden and a particular location of a highlighted portion of the workout. Please increase the zoom level possible!

                    • Add annotation to performance manager chart

                      It would be fantastic if, on the calendar, you could add an annotation that shows up on your performance manager chart. The button would go in the 'Add Other' next to metrics. Pick the start day and end day of the annotation and enter text. The result will that your manager chart has the annotations noted with the appropriate dates.

                      This will allow an athlete to recall what they were doing at a period of time. They could annotate when they were tapering, or sick, or pushing for a PR, or whatever.

                        I would like to see the virtual coach provide a little bit more information about it workouts and provide a little bit more information about how to actually run that workout. For me I was provided things like 'form sprints', 'cruise intervals', 6 months in advance. I had to then search the web to find out what they are and how to cycle them.                           I have been thinking about the virtual coach feature which is able to provide us with a workout. On the classic it provides with us with a great set of workouts. I use them and self train.                             Hi, i've been with Training Peaks for around 6 months. My calendar is display quite a lot of completed workouts. There has a been a numerous amount of times when I have needed to search for a workout a) to see how well I did and b) to consider whether to do it again and c) for comparison purposes.                               I m looking for a feature to filter out all rest interval, warm-up and cooldown data. I would like to focus into real meaningful data. And I would like it to happen AUTOMATICALLY in reports!!!! Is it possible already now? I know I can view work interval data and so on in WKO and website but it is a tidious job. I give you an example:
                              I run 8 x 1000 m work intervals with 100 meter rest intervals. I would like to see average time and HR for those 1000 m work intervals. And dont like to calculate them…

                                Just throwing this one out their but one I would like to see is that often I do the same workout, i.e the same run or bike ride. I would love to see the ability where you can look at your performance graph from the current session and then overlay a past event, you can then analyse how differently you approached things and can quite obviously see where performance gains and losses are.

                                      I coach over 20 clients through TP and use the messaging service with all of them! Clients send me last minute changes to their availability / race schedules etc almost exclusively through the messaging service. I need to be able to pick this up on the move and respond in order to provide the best quality coaching possible. Having a messaging feature in the app would allow me to do this

                                      • Expand the size of the Description Field when previewing workouts in the Library

                                        In the beta version the pop-out for the workout provides good information in terms of duration, distance, etc. but the Description is 1 column high and you need to scroll through. I'd like to see the Description full size or at a minimum 15 columns high.

                                          It would be great to be able to have a specific yoga workout that I can track along with my other activities. Yoga is different from strength training and cross training - and it would be good to be able to track this as a separate low impact workout (without having to label it as 'other').
