How can we improve TrainingPeaks?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

    • IHealth Scale - BP sync........ Please

      I really don't like typing stuff and would like to sync my IHealth scale and BP info into Training Peaks daily

      • Expanded calendar view in new Group View is too expanded

        The new Group View is great … except for one key detail. The calendar can viewed in either a compact or "expanded" view (not sure if expanded is the right term here), but the expanded view is *way* too big and isn't consistent with how workouts are displayed in the single athlete view.

        If I want/need to see all the workout description or notes, then I'd prefer to have to click on the workout to open it. As it is now, all of the content for the workout description and notes are shown, making each row for an athlete super…

        • Add the ability to "show average" for distance/duration charts.

          Include a "show average" checkbox in the settings of certain charts similar to the show planned checkbox. When selected, it would show the average applicable to the metric in question and the duration selected.

          For instance, on a "run distance by week" chart that shows cumulative running mileage for each week over the past 90 days, this box would embed a single line across the chart to show the weekly average over that 90 day period. It would be a quick reference to compare this week to a longer period without breaking out a calculator.

            Computrainer records left and right leg power, but this information is lost when the file is transferred to TrainingPeaks.

            • Garmin Connect auto-uploading my swim workout with breaks

              While garmin connect is auto-uploading my swim workout from my Forerunner 920XT, it only takes into account swim time without breaks. This makes TSS higher than it would with the braks naturally. Is there an option to change this or set up preference how the workout should be uploaded? I believe, when I uplad the workout file, it takes into account the whole workout with the breaks.

              • The Ability to create sub-folders in the training libraries

                In regards to training libraries it would be great if it were possible to make Sub Folders under the Main Folders.
                Similar to how storage folders work on your computer.

                i.e.
                Main Folder #1 - Mountain Bike Work-outs
                Sub Folders - Hill work-outs, Technical Work-outs, Power work-outs

                Main Folder #2 - Road Work-outs
                Sub Folders - Hill work-outs, Time Trials, LSD

                Main Folder #3 - Indoor Training
                Sub Folders - Tempo, Lactate Threshold, Recovery

                This would make organizing my work-out library much easier.

                • Display weekday in PMC pop-up

                  Please add the weekday to the date listed in the daily details pop-up on the PMC. Other charts plotting daily data show the weekday in their pop-up, and the additional context that the weekday provides is tremendously helpful when skimming through the charts. (see detail in attached screenshot)

                  • API updated to allow premium user access to retrieve CTL (Fitness), ATL (Fatigue), and TSB (Form).

                    I would like to make a custom widget type app that displays this data for me at a glance instead of opening up the application or website.

                        To provide a basic facility that can be chosen by 'joe public' to be either a generic TP training plan or a specific coach driven plan. based upon basic generic sport specific training plan.                         • Associate and disassociate completed activities with planned workouts

                          When an activity is completed and uploaded automatically, Training Peaks does a reasonable but imperfect job of lining these up with planned workouts. This does not always work correctly, especially with races, so it would be handy to have and option to associate activities with planned workouts. Conversely it would be useful to be able to separate planned workouts and completed activities so that they can be associated correctly.                           • Visual representation of planned vs. actual workout intensity

                            I would like to see - on the training calendar - a visual representation of the planned workout intensity so that when I'm planning ramp-up and recovery weeks for my athletes, I can see a "heat map" of the week's intensity (perhaps based on estimated TSS as derived from past workouts?). The only way that I can visually see a "recovery" week today is with a lower workout duration. I would like to plan the same workout duration week-to-week, but vary the intensity. Taking it a step further, it would be interesting to see when an athlete meets or exceeds…

                              • Urgent need to be able to select the unit setting (English/Metric) not at the coach account level, but at the athlete level.

                                Some athletes train in 25 yard pool, other in 25 meter pool. I would even request that the unit selection could be done at the athlete level, AND at the discipline level; per instance, we could have metric for swim and run, and english for bike. Having it the coach account level does not make any sense.

                                  Currently swim smoothing smooths the zero time in the chart when you are not swimming, it would be nice when applying smoothing to swim workouts that you could just smooth the "swimming time" this would allow you to nicely view whether you generally started out too fast and generally got slower over the course of a longer distance interval (the current view without smoothing sometimes it is not so clear upon immediate glance). But smoothing in the zeros just doesn't make sense for swim data.

                                  • Smoothing default messes up scale when UN-smoothed

                                    When you UN-smooth data to see true peaks in data (i.e. sprints) the scale does not adjust to accommodate un-smoothed data, and the graph just looks cut off.

                                    • show workouts on homescreen through app

                                      Show the description of the workout on the lock screen of a phone. Just like the cover art when you play music. I always screen shot the workout and set it as my lock screen wallpaper, but it would be nice if i could go into the app and select that i want the description on the lock screen and once i am finished with the workout i would go back in and deselect that i want the workout displayed and it would return back to my original lock screen.
