The premium accounts need to have a function in which I can create a training plan, save it in a personal library, and then apply and reapply as needed. I run several of the same races every year and want to simply apply a plan. I know I can copy a week, but going week by week from a year ago to "today" is an unnecessary step in what should be a click and drop style solution.4 votes
Urgent need to be able to select the unit setting (English/Metric) not at the coach account level, but at the athlete level.
Some athletes train in 25 yard pool, other in 25 meter pool. I would even request that the unit selection could be done at the athlete level, AND at the discipline level; per instance, we could have metric for swim and run, and english for bike. Having it the coach account level does not make any sense.
Both of these are on our list for down the road. 1) Coach being able to set the units on an athlete by athlete basis, and 2) sport specific units. There is no ETA right now.
Currently swim smoothing smooths the zero time in the chart when you are not swimming, it would be nice when applying smoothing to swim workouts that you could just smooth the "swimming time" this would allow you to nicely view whether you generally started out too fast and generally got slower over the course of a longer distance interval (the current view without smoothing sometimes it is not so clear upon immediate glance). But smoothing in the zeros just doesn't make sense for swim data.2 votes
When you UN-smooth data to see true peaks in data (i.e. sprints) the scale does not adjust to accommodate un-smoothed data, and the graph just looks cut off.1 vote
This is a known issue that we plan to fix in the coming months.
Show the description of the workout on the lock screen of a phone. Just like the cover art when you play music. I always screen shot the workout and set it as my lock screen wallpaper, but it would be nice if i could go into the app and select that i want the description on the lock screen and once i am finished with the workout i would go back in and deselect that i want the workout displayed and it would return back to my original lock screen.4 votes
Adding a Lock Screen Widget to our mobile apps is on our list. We have a few other cool things ahead of it though. Thanks for the suggestion!
Like a kind of league with the best timings in climbs, spots to sprint etc5 votes
A few of my clients use a TomTom device and I would love for them to be able to directly sync with TrainingPeaks from TomTom Mysport.1 vote
We have spoken with TomTom about this in the past. Please let them know that this is a feature that you would like to see happen.
I'd like the option to send text based reminders. Say remind the athlete every 7 or 3 days to upload data (or on demand). Many athletes need this, some don't at all so it should be a coach selectable interval.4 votes
This is definitely a feature that we are considering. However, if your athletes use a Garmin or Suunto then our auto-sync feature may help them upload their data faster and with less steps.
Any way to help with billing for coaches through the website would be awesome!!!4 votes
This is definitely on our bucket list! I do not have an ETA that I can share at this time.
It would speed up the workflow considerably if in Beta when I click on an athlete it automatically loads that athlete rather than having to click on the athlete name and then loads. The next time I click on the athletes name then as it is loaded I could have the pop up box that gives me the options to delete the athlete or edit settings.7 votes
We are always looking for way to reduce the number of clicks it takes to accomplish tasks, and this is something we are considering.
TrainingPeaks should have the same feature as WKO+ when it comes to being able to set Threshold values for given periods of time. When uploading an athlete's historic data, I need to be able to put in what their threshold value was at those times - not have TP calculate things like IF and TSS based on the current values. This makes it impossible to do accurate comparisons of previous build cycles in an athlete's career to the current situation. Like WKO+ this should simply be an easy to edit table where you put in start and stop dates for validity and the associated threshold value, then TP calculates the TSS/IF/NP of workouts in those date ranges by that threshold value.

This feature is available in the classic version of our web-app, and planned for the new app.
This help page explains how it works in the classic app.
Add "Completed as planned" button to New Interface17 votes
This feature is available in our mobile apps, and is on our list of todos for the web-app.
Session description or comment: Open URL automatically in new tab (e.g. open dropbox link with photo of workout from whiteboard)
Currently instead uploading attachments I paste a dropbox link with a photo of each swim workout from whiteboard into session comments.
Would be good in Training Peaks (online/browser) if when you opened workout the url would automatically open in new tab when you click link. At the moment I have to open workout, copy the url, open new tab, paste url to see photo.5 votes
This is on our short list of todos. Thank you for the feedback.
Develop a system to allow users to rate the quality and effectiveness of training plans that they purchase on TP. It may even be possible to contract with Amazon to sell the plans through their system, thereby allowing better accounting and customer feedback.10 votes
A rating system is on our wish list for the Training Plan store. This would help athletes make informed purchases. However, selling plans through a 3rd party is not on our list at this time.
We have discussed this internally in the past, but is not currently something that we plan on implementing.
All races and schedules are planned around a race or series of races. This would be a simple feature. Add in the ability to put a race in TP in the future and then you could select a type of workout (basically, race countdown)
This would allow coaches to know how far in advance an event is scheduled, as well as allow for easier reference to future events or important days in the calendar.
Below is how I do it manually now.14 votes
This is on our radar. The timing is after we implement ATP and VC in the new app.
Garmin Connect has had the weather from each of our workouts for quite some time. It is available based on GPS location and local weather data. At least keep up with the free logging program most of us (Garmin users) have, please. TrainingPeaks should be the one source for our training data as a premium user.12 votes
I know that a new workout creator tool is going to be developed for the web/desktop platform. But I would like to suggest that TrainingPeaks uses something similar to the TrainerRoad's one. As a coach it's really a lot of work to write PERSONALIZED power workouts based on their current FTP and race specifics. I have developed a Excel spreadsheet that helps but still...11 votes
This is something that we get asked about quite often, and plan to implement in the future.
Until your new prescription workouts system shows up it would be great to have an option to show/hide current athlete's training zones for power, pace or heart rate. This is very handy when tailoring workouts for each athlete. Thanks.3 votes
We will review where this information can better be displayed so the coach or athlete does not need to dig around for it. In the classic app, this data was show on a tab in the quick-view, but there is probably an even better place for it.. Thanks again for your feedback.
