  2. Build or modify existing chart to project future weight based on current caloric deficit trends, update daily with calories consumed sync, and each time a new weight is sync'd to Peaks. Here's an example of how I did it (not necessarily the best way).

  4. Allow equipment changes during the session. For example, I do my warm-up with one pair of shoes and after that, I switch to my spikes or race shoes. Maybe a manual interface, where you enter the distances for each piece of equipment.

  5. I use the custom ATP a lot to keep on track and plan what comes next. The only real drawback right now is that I constantly have to toggle between the ATP page and the Dashboard in order to see what the makeup of a week or month or other period of time in terms of accumulation of time in zone. I use time in zone and total hrs much more than I do any of the other metrics. Being able to hover over a week or highlight a period on the ATP page and see time in zone for…

  6. Users should be able to opt in or out of StackUp.

I’m sure I’m not unique in the TP community in that I’m training intentionally (and using a coach) because I want to make improvements in my life. I’m a heavier athlete and already have a complicated set of feelings when I show up on race day in a tri suit with all of my competition then cross the finish line close to the back of the pack. I need to remind myself that we’re all on a journey. I made the mistake of opening up the StackUp beta when…

Recently, I've come across an opportunity to enhance the user experience and provide valuable insights for athletes by integrating OpenAI chat functionality into the platform.

Feature suggestion: OpenAI Chat Integration for Instant Feedback and Analysis

    Overview:
Integrating OpenAI chat functionality into Training Peaks would enable athletes to receive instant feedback on their training and analysis based on their personal…

  8. It is pretty common to sometimes get obviously erroneous HR or power data (e.g. HR = 250 or power = 2000w for someone who has never seen HR >185 or power >850). When looking at past peak performances over any time horizon, this bad data means that you cannot see peak performance data or you have to manually go through and delete HR and power data from those activities respectively before you can see what the athlete's actual peak performances were. This can take a lot of time if the athlete gets bad data a few times every month, and…

  9. data in sleep metrics is currently measured in % hr. It should be measured in hrs:min:sec, like the time field in workouts.

also, more generally, it would be good to have a general custom field where athletes can track a bespoke metric which may not be currently available to be measured in metrics. thanks.

    So for example.
I want to know how my HR value changed in different Pace Zones in the last three month, years e.g.

  11. Currently the planned workout includes breaks and gives a time and pace based on that. The uploaded workout does not, so the pace and TSS are higher, and the workout compliance ends up not green.

There are pros and cons for both measures - being able to see actual swim pace, not pace including breaks, or being able to see the total duration of the sessions., Either way I think we should compare the same thing, not 2 different things.
I would prefer the uploaded file to include breaks, but a toggle to be Abe to switch between them on…

  12. For mountain runners and skimo racers a peak VAM chart similar to the peak power and peak HR charts would be really useful. You could see your best VAM for varying durations and track improvements over time.

  13. Add metrics and progress bar or percent completed to custom goals over a given time period. For example: Bike 3000 miles in 12 months. I could view my progress of achieving that goal at any time.

Strava and Garmin currently have this option.

  15. Having completed a lactic acid threshold test I would appreciate the option to set the heart rate for 2mmol/L, the heart rate for 4mmol/L, max heart rate and resting heart rate.
I may be in the minority, but have found that entering either of these heart rate thresholds as well as my max and resting heart rate have not yielded reasonable results for the Zone calculation. I ended up having to play around with the threshold until I arrived at reasonable zones.
Alternatively/in addition, links to the source material of how the wealth of methods calculate threshold would be helpful…

  16. Currently you cannot 'overlap' ATPs. You can create multiple ATPs but these must not overlap in terms of dates. However, it would be very useful to be able to create different versions of an ATP (with the same / similar date period), so that we could compare different possible approaches to periodising the year. At any one time, only one of these ATPs would be 'active', and that's what would link to the calendar etc. But you could switch between the different ATPs. Currently the only way to do this kind of comparison is to create an ATP, then make…

  18. For trail runners will be useful to have NGP available in graphs and scatter plots.
Also charts like Time in Speed Zone to be based also on NGP.

  19. If in your training data power is available, you can only calculate Pw:Hr. It is annoying to alter your training data and delete the power data to calculate Pa:Hr. It would be super nice if you could just select the calculated variant with a dropdown of Pw:Hr and Pa:Hr, for example. This would make Heart Rate Drift much more convenient to calculate.

This hit me after the new updates by Garmin, your watch delivers Power with a Garmin strap, and you cannot really turn that off.

  20. For a triathlon, there are 5 workouts uploaded to the calendar (Swim, T1, Bike, T2, Run). I could cope with that. But when it comes to swimrun, workouts with 15 runs and 14 swims are normal. This bloats the calendar.

I want TP to be able to show this as one event but when i go into the details of the workout, all workouts that makes up this multisport event are listed. Garmin Connect handles this in a neat way.
