When coasting or simply stopping the resistance modes switches to fixed even if ERG was initially selected.

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This behaviour is intentional to avoid problems with the "Spiral of Doom" while using ERG mode at low (or, in this case, no) cadence. If you don't want this protective behaviour though, you can simply turn it off using the option in Main Menu > Options > Trainer Settings.
