Cadence
I use a power meter for recording cadence and power but I get loads of cadence dropouts so the watts also drop. Need to improve the connectivity of cadence to prevent dropouts.
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Dropouts are nearly always a result of radio-interference in your room (i.e. the Bluetooth signal from your device to your computer is swamped with noise from other sources - perhaps someone running a microwave oven nearby etc).
As such, this isn't anything that can be fixed in TrainingPeaks Virtual, and instead is something that would need to be addressed by positioning your devices and computer in a way that doesn't get impacted as much by your environment.

Cannot Detect Sensors w/Remote Desktop Also Open
Whilst Windows remote desktop is open and I'm connected to another computer, but with TP virtual running locally, it cannot detect any sensors, bluetooth or ANT+. When remote desktop is closed/disconnected, it detects sensors.
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This isn't a generic issue with Remote Desktop (we use it all the time while TPV is running without any issues!), so I strongly suspect there is something else going on here specific to your configuration on your computer.
Feel free to reach out to Customer Support (virtual@trainingpeaks.com), but my best guess is that you've set Remote Desktop up in a way that intercepts the Bluetooth signals at a stack level, and pipes them over the network, so that TPV never even sees them, rather than this being anything to do with TPV itself.

Tilt
TPV could interact with the Tilt function of the Kickr Bike to change with the gradient
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The tilt function on a Kickr bike is entirely controlled by the embedded Kickr trainer - TrainingPeaks Virtual tells the Kickr Bike what gradient to simulate and then the Kickr bike both sets the resistance to be appropriate for that gradient, and the tilt. Specifically, the Kickr bike does not allow third party applications to control the tilt directly...it does it itself.
If the tilt is not working for you, then it is very likely that the Kickr bike is simply not in tilt mode, and is locked to be in a level position. If you unlock it, then it will tilt.

POTENCIA DE TRABAJO
Creo importante, que la potencia de trabajo esté en mayor tamaño junto con la potencia que se está generando, así permite una mejor comparación durante el desarrollo de la actividad.

This sounds like an issue with calibration of your equipment, rather than anything directly to do with TrainingPeaks Virtual. Please feel free to contact the support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who may be able to help you with this.

Problem logging in
Today I can’t log into TPVirtual on any device. Account appears to log in but I am left with ambient noises and a blank screen. iPhone 16 pro max, iPad Pro and Apple TV all have same issue. Atv screenshot attached. Have tried logging out on all devices all same.

This is something that would be better resolved though Customer Support (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) rather than as a feature request. Can you please reach out to them who can help you directly, and we'll close this item here in UserVoice.

Allow Active team and kits to be used on multiple devices
I am using TP Virtual on multiple devices, but cannot access my active team or kit on more than the device on which I initially set it up. It would be advantageous if I could use the team and kit where ever I logon. If I am missing something regarding this process, please direct me accordingly. Thank You
1 voteMany thanks for your message, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Note that teams and team kits are already automatically available to you on any and all devices that you use. I strongly suspect that you therefore must be logging into you different devices with different accounts (i.e. you log on with one account which has membership of a team, but on another device you log on with a different account that doesn't have membership of that team).
Rather than track this here as a feature request, please can you reach out to the Customer Support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who can help you with this.

Give us back the TPV local folder and the Fit Files on the iPAD!
Since last Update (v0.4.9), the TPV and FitFiles Folder have vanished and therefore the fitfiles are gone. Please bring the Fiotfiles back!!! ... I used them to sync with Garmin Connect and its just missing on my iPAD but not on the iPhone!
2 votesMany thanks for your message, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Note that nothing has changed between versions about the storage of FIT files, so suspect that there may be some other configuration issue here that has changed on your iPad.
Rather than track this here as a feature request, please can you reach out to the Customer Support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who can help you with this.

Swift Play
I noticed that I can connect Swift Play as a controller, but they don't show any functions. Is this a future feature as many folks have these and they would be great to be able to use without having to remove hands from the handlebars to use capabilities of TPV.
2 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Sadly, the Zwift controllers are encrypted which prevents anyone from (legally) reading the data from them without Zwift's permission. We'll update TPV to hide them from the pairing screen to avoid any confusion here.
TrainingPeaks Virtual however fully supports all other 3rd party controllers - for example XBox, Playstation or Avotro, as well as homebrew controllers (e.g. Arduino based), so there are plenty of much cheaper and more widely available options for controlling TrainingPeaks Virtual than needing to use proprietary hardware locked to another platform.

P2M Power meter can’t be connected to my Apple TV and MacBook Pro.
My Apple TV is 4K version with tvOS 18.2.1. And my MacBook Pro 14” M3 with macOS 15.1.1.
I can’t see the P2M device shows on my Apple TV.
On MacBook Pro, P2M can be shown on the power meter list. But it always shows no signal. On the same time, my Garmin device can get the power from P2M (with BLE).
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This is working as the Bluetooth protocol is designed. Over bluetooth, a device can only be paired to one other device at a time. So if your powermeter is paired to your Garmin, then it won't be able to be paired to TrainingPeaks Virtual.
If you try to pair to TrainingPeaks Virtual without having first paired to your Garmin, then everything should work as expected.

Scheduled Training Peaks workout not showing up on Training Peaks Virtual
Help. Scheduled workouts not showing up on Virtual. Training Peaks account synced with TP Virtual. Any ideas? It exported to my Wahoo Element Bolt.
1 voteMany thanks for your message, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This is likely to be because your workout is in a format not currently supported by TrainingPeaks Virtual. Please feel free to reach out to the TrainingPeaks Virtual Customer Support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who may be able to help you with this.

Loss of power
Near the end of the Three Peaks ride with roughly 5 miles to go the resistance just went, all other things like cadence ect were working. I could get my watts to show but they'd just go up and i would end up spinning out. It was all fine up until that point?
Any Ideas?

Something weird happened during the race..
During the race on a downhill slope, the resistance suddenly increased as if I were climbing a 15% incline, and it persisted for a long time, leaving me exhausted. To fix this, I stopped, and everything returned to normal. However, it was too difficult to catch up with the group afterward. IS THIS A BUG? WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS? HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW. My setup includes Windows 11 on an 11th gen i3 all-in-one PC with 16 GB of RAM, and my connection is via ANT+ using a USB ANT+ stick from AliExpress.…

This is something that is probably better handled by the TrainingPeaks Virtual Customer Support team, rather than as a request for a new feature. If you reach out to them at virtual@trainingpeaks.com they should be able to help you resolve this.
It's worth noting though that TrainingPeaks Virtual already fully supports dual recording, so you can just pair everything to TPV and get a dual-recording file that way, rather than needing to use a complex multi-device set up (which I strongly suspect is the root cause of the issue you're seeing).

bug
Hi,
I was doing a workout on TPV and everything looked fine. I had some pauzes in a 2h workout but timers all worked accordingly. When i pauzed, 1st time i didn't hit any key on laptop but avatar and timers went in pauze mode. After a while i started pedalling again and everything fine (as usual). Next stop i've hit pauze button (down on screen) to pauze timers and avatar (as i was riding in a downhill) and wanted to pauze everything. I came back and continued and again, everything fine again. After 2h my workout was done and…

TSS issue
When recording a workout, the calculated TSS is displayed on the screen and the same is displayed when you finish the workout. But when the workout is loaded into training peaks, it displays a different TSS, even though the services are synchronized and the data should be identical.
0 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Any discrepancy in values is almost certainly due to your FTP or weight not being set to the same values in TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks Virtual. If you ensure that these are synchronized (in TrainingPeaks Virtual, use the option on Main Menu > Profile > My Profile), then the TSS values should be identical.

tested... and not works at all
Hello: I've tested on a XPS 9343 and doesn't appear anything, black screen, after load everything and evermore.
Over iPhone XS and iPad Air 2, I can reach the world, but doesn't respond at all with my bluetooth devices (even paired) Coospo HW9 doesn't recognize as heartbeat sensor, my static bike is a Bodytone SMB v1.2.
You have to do many things yet... seems powerful, but needs to be accesible for everyone.1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Wattage difference between TrainingPeaks Virtual and Garmin Edge 840
Hello,
today i had my first Workout at TrainingPeaks Virtual. I choosen my Quarq Powermeter via ANT+ and track the Workout in the same time with my Gamin Edge 840. The overall Wattage is nearly the same, but when i compared the peak power per time, there are high differences. If you want, take a look at the Data, powered by DC Rainmaker Analyser:
https://analyze.dcrainmaker.com/#/public/7154b080-d610-48c5-7d08-17f361d957e7
i hope it helps

Michael1 voteHi Michael - many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The power data displayed (and written out to FIT files) in TrainingPeaks Virtual is just the raw data being transmitted from your powermeter - there's no filtering or interpretation etc of the values. If TPV says you're doing 200 Watts, then it's because your powermeter has told TPV that you're doing 200 Watts.
As such, any discrepancy between multiple recordings is as a result of your powermeter sending different values to different devices.

Recovery from sleep mode
TPV laptop app does not auto disable my screen sleep function, so when it kicks in the screens goes to sleep and the rider stops riding. If I don't spot it immediately the workout stops and I have to restart from the beginning again. It requires constant vigilance to remember to move the mousepad to keep the screen awake. This is a significant failing compared to other apps like Zwift and TrainerRoad that do not do this. I hope you can fix this soon!
2 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
There is actually already functionality in TrainingPeaks Virtual to do this, and this is the first time a problem has been reported with it - as such, this feels like a configuration issue that perhaps the TrainingPeaks Virtual customer support team are better placed to help you with, than this being an enhancement to the product that should be tracked here. If you reach out to them on virtual@trainingpeaks.com hopefully they can help you resolve this issue on your laptop.

After the last update, the connection with ANT+ sensors is periodically lost.
After the latest update, the connection with ANT+ sensors is periodically lost (after January 10, 2025). Tested on different sensors and on different computers. Before the update, this had not been observed for a long time.
2 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Nothing changed in the latest release with the ANT+ pairing, and so any change here must have been a co-incidence. That said, there are a few known issues with the pairing sometimes not working so we will continue to work on solving those in parallel (but there's no need to track it again here in this separate UserVoice entry, so closing this one as a duplicate of the others).

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Whether a trainer can be calibrated by a third party application or not is determined by the trainer firmware, so unfortunately this is something that would need to be enabled by Wahoo, rather than something that TrainingPeaks Virtual can change.
