Watt/kgKG im Dashboard
Mir fehlt die Abgabe Watt je kg Körpergewicht in der Fahrerliste und im Dashboard als wählbare Option. Geschwindigkeiten sind da weniger interessant.
15 votesThank you for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Watts per Kilo are however deliberately not shown - please see the following article for discussion about why, and what TrainingPeaks Virtual displays instead to help you with your training and racing.

Make speed calculation in relation to power more realistic
The calculated speed in relation to the power output has become very unrealistic, very close to Zwift "speed" now. I had a ride on Coastal Loop recently, averaging 23.6 mph with 200W average power (riding solo, not in a pace group). The same type of ride used to average around 21mph in indieVelo past winter. Please make the speed calculation more realistic, so the accumulated indoor training miles/kms would be somewhat accurate.

Note that none of the physics algorithms have changed since indieVelo - it's exactly the same code. Both indieVelo and TrainingPeaks Virtual use a pure physics algorithm (F = ma) to calculate speed from power and extensive testing has shown that the speeds in indieVelo / TrainingPeaks Virtual match those in real life when comparing other factors like with like (e.g. CdA, Crr, wind speed / direction etc).
The most likely cause for any discrepancy you are seeing is a difference in CdA or Crr between the two.

Basic Implementation (Zwift style) and "bug"
Good morning dear Friends!!!
First of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity that you have given us.
I also want to thank you for your work in developing the platform.
My name is Stefano, and I’am a Premium TrainingPeaks user.
I am also a Zwift user and I would like to give you some suggestions that, as a Zwift user, I would like to see implemented on TrainingPeaks Virtual as well.I use to train TrainingPeaks Virtual with an iPad 13 (iOS 18.1) hardware.
Here's my whishing list:

However, TrainingPeaks Virtual is an application that is designed for committed athletes and coaches, and therefore does not intend to just copy Zwift's features.
For example, please see TrainingPeaks Virtual Rider Weight and Displaying Effort – TrainingPeaks Help Center for information about why we deliberately do not display W/Kg.
That said, you have also noted some bugs (for example, the menu button options not always closing when riding) and some great ideas about needing a separate app to help make controlling the application easier while riding, and we fully intend to fix / implement these. Please see the other UserVoice suggestions that already mention these for further details on our plans here.

Wahoo Kickr Climb
Please suppport the Wahoo Kickr Climb! It's a great reality enhancer. Even Zwift supported this great device rather poorly. Make it work in both regular rides and planned workouts.
I am a TrainingPeaks premium subscriber and avid user of TP Virtual now.
6 votesThank you for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The Kickr Climb is actually controlled directly by your Kickr, and not controlled by any other external application. As noted by other users in the comments, if you configure your Kickr to use the Climb, then the Climb works perfectly when riding TrainingPeaks Virtual.

improve reactivity to power changes in workouts
really liking all of the functionality of the platform. Ive started doing all of my interval workouts on Virtual but noticing a significant (5-10s) lag when changing power up or down - say when doing 30/30s. If I am cruising along at 150w, then i need to be at 360w for 30s, it takes 5-10s to get there, basically halving my interval work.
5 votesMany thanks for this and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
When using ERG mode, TrainingPeaks Virtual tells your trainer to change the resistance instantly, and then it is up to your trainer to decide when/how to mechanically do whatever it needs to do to achieve that. As such, if there's a problem with this, then it is likely to be an issue with the trainer. As has been suggested in the comments, it is definitely worth trying to use ANT+ instead of BLE (or vice versa) to see if that helps as your trainer may respond better to one rather than the other.

My TP Virtual App doesn't save my login!
I have to log in each time I fire up the app on my Android phone.
I'd like it to default login to my indievelo credentials like it used to!
4 votesThank you for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The login using indieVelo credentials will shortly be retired and so the "Remember Me" functionality is deliberately disabled.
If you log in using TrainingPeaks credentials, then these will however be remembered so you don't have to type them in each time.

Power & Heartrate Zones Not Syncing Correctly
My heartrate and power settings have been incorrect at TPV since auto sync started, so I finally turned auto sync off. They're always correct in TP, and even after I manually adjust them at TPV to match TP ... they always change to incorrect zones in TPV.

Rather than tracking this as a new feature, can you please reach out to the TrainingPeaks Virtual Customer Support (at virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who can help you resolve this.

Saving activity despite internet connection loss
Sometimes the internet connection disconnects. In this situation, Training Peaks Virtual does not save further activity even after reconnecting. This is a big inconvenience. Other platforms, despite losing connection, continue to save activity.
6 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Currently the FIT files uploaded to TrainingPeaks / Strava etc are those recorded on the server...so if you lose internet connectivity with the server while riding, then innevitably they won't have your full ride data in them. However, your device also records its own FIT file and this should contain the entire ride and can be manually uploaded to TrainingPeaks / Strava if needed.
Please see the following article for more information on where to find these files.

Being able to choose to do the update at login or skip until end of workout when an update is due
When I start the platform, it is normally to do an event. I have missed a few events in the past because the platform wants an update.
The ability to choose 'skip' on the update with a reminder when you finish the ride would avoid this happening
Alternatively an option to 'carry out update after workout'4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
As another commenter has already noted, it is essential for events for all riders to be using the same version of the software to ensure fairness.

Delay with resistance and the course profile, spiking and dropping, not smooth!?
Not an idea, more a query
2 votesMany thanks for your message and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This appears to be an issue with your trainer, rather than the TrainingPeaks Virtual software. Please can you contact customer support at virtual@trainingpeaks.com who may be able to help you fix this.

Compatability with zwift virtual gears and climb.
Can it be made to work with Zwift virtual gears and Kickr Climb.
4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
TrainingPeaks Virtual is currently unable to legally add support for Zwift controllers. If Zwift decide to permit their hardware to be used on TrainingPeaks Virtual, we would of course add support for it.
The Kickr Climb is already fully supported - it is controlled however by a Kickr, and so needs to be configured on the trainer hardware, not in TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Do not override primary power source when entering on a race/event
I set in Trainer settings my assioma power meter preferred to be used as primary power source. However if I enter a race, then TPV automatically switches to the power meter of my HTR, when HTR is required for that event/race.
My issue is that my HTR has an internal power meter but this one is quite bad and exposes much more high watt figures than i produce and i don't want to use it. In zwift i can participate to events/races with my calibrated assiomas power meter. I would llke the same in TPV. Pls do not override my…3 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The use of the powermeter as the primary source of power is only over-ridden in events where the organiser has selected that the primary source of power must be from a smart trainer. In all other events, then the option to use a powermeter to determine your power is retained.
As such, this function is working exactly as intended. If you want to use a powermeter as the primary source of power, then you will need to enter events where the event organiser has not decided to disallow that.

rides not synced or appearing
Rode yesterday with TPV on iphone. Paused after 2.5 hours to get a drink. When returned, the ride had ended. Not the end of the world and the ride does appear within TPV log, however, it is not syncing with TP. ANy way to fix this?
Additionally, I then started another ride, using the same workout option from the Train section. I used the segments, just advanced the main one after 2 hours and completed this ride. This, however, has completely failed to appear anywhere (neither TPV nor TP). Again, help and advice would be appreciated.
3 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
There was an isolated issue with synchronisation of FIT files from TPV to TP yesterday, that was quickly resolved. In general, the files already synchronise for every ride, and we'll continue to look at making that process more resilient in the future rather than tracking this as a separate issue in UserVoice.

Anyone having power resistance spikes?
When doing workouts, when the target power changes up/down I get huge power resistance (500-600-700W) before it then balances back down to what it’s supposed to be.
Does anyone else get these or have I done something wrong in setup?3 votesMany thanks for your message and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Fix the bug that causes the rider to glitch back a few metres every so often
Occasionally when riding, I notice my rider glitch back a few metres before then continuing. It would be amazing to see that fixed please!
3 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This glitching is caused by your device repeatedly losing connection with the TrainingPeaks Virtual servers (in summary, because it is not getting regular updates from the servers about rider positions, then it can't smoothly draw the positions on the screen, leading to the behaviour you see).
While we can try and smooth that out a little bit there's a limit to how accurate TrainingPeaks Virtual can be if it can't get regular update information from the server. Ultimately the fix here is to ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Zwift Ride bike controllers
Please help with pairing controls of Zwift Ride Bike into Trainingpeaks virtual mobile app android and ios. Also please confirm if PC windows and Mac plataform can be made or its lacking of the options
I cant find the option to pair, config buttons.

Still not able to log on on my PC...the screen stops at 100% initiated and freezes there.
Picked a 45 minute endurance ride tonight on my phone. A 45 minute ride took 59 minutes according to my Garmin. The avatar and clock kept stopping for no reason and practically zero kms were recorded despite my riding for almost an hour. None of the clocks/kms/stats were recording properly.
The graphics are terrible. Disappointing start to my riding with this.2 votesThank you for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The issue with the PC install has already been fixed - if you re-download the installer from https://trainingpeaks.com/virtual then everything should work for you as expected.
The issue with your mobile device is most likely to it being unsupported hardware - from your user logs it appears to have only 2GB RAM, which is well below the recommended 3.5GB or more.

Many thanks for your comment and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
There is no smoothing of HR data in TrainingPeaks Virtual - it just displays whatever data is being broadcast by your HRM in real time. So if in any given second TrainingPeaks Virtual is displaying 150 bpm, it means that that second your HRM must have transmitted that your heart rate was 150 bpm. If the data displayed is not accurate, it is therefore because the hardware transmitting the data is not accurate.

syncing issues
Having similar issues as others with rides not syncing back to TP. Group ride from yesterday did not sync. Saved in history.
