It seems that I suffer from a lot of dropouts on my ANT+ connection, enough to trigger Performance Verification (PV) removing me from a race. Now, I am absolutely fine with this, but I’m finding it very hard to trace the issue, especially because the only way to know it happening is to set up a race with PV on, and see what happens for every idea I have.

Now, I understand the reasoning that other aspects of PV can’t be fed back on live when just riding around so people don’t learn how to game the PV system, but surely that doesn’t apply to dropouts. Providing feedback would help users eliminate them, and there isn’t really anything to “game” through this feedback as far as I can see.

So, just like you can put fps on the screen, to have an option for “ANT+ dropouts last ten minutes” on the screen, and even recorded explicitly to the fit file, would make diagnosis of the cause so much easier to explore.
