Adaptive Cruise Control
The new Cruise Control feature is fantastic, it locks in a target power beautifully. But… it flattens the virtual terrain completely, and that takes away a big part of the immersive feel.
Suggestion: Add a “Virtual Cruise Control” mode where the set power applies to 0% gradient, and you choose a bias (0–10) to scale power with incline.
For example:
Set power = 200 W, incline = 2%, bias = 2
Resulting power = 200 W + (200 × 0.02 × 2) = 208 W
This way, you keep the benefits of steady pacing and get the natural resistance changes of hills. It’s the best of both worlds — realistic terrain feel with stable power control.
✅ Why it matters:
• Keeps climbs engaging and realistic
• Makes group rides and racing feel more natural
• Gives athletes the choice to tune realism vs. control
