Public viewable effort gauge improvements
The effort gauge needs overhauled to make visual efforts consistent among riders in the same group \ pacing level.
TrainingPeaks Virtual pacer bots and effort indicators are designed to work as follows:
*Personalization of Pacebot Effort: Each pacer bot (like Oli Obsidian or Cyril Citrine) is intended to deliver a pacing experience that is tailored to you personally. The system factors in your user profile, especially your current weight and the specifics of the route (such as hills versus flats), to calculate how much power you’ll need to keep up with each bot. Heavier riders, for example, will need more power on climbs, while lighter riders may find it easier at the same bot setting.
*Effort Indicator (Taillight): The seatpost taillight shows your effort relative to your critical power (CP). Dark red means easy, amber indicates moderate, and bright green is high effort. Drafting behind the pacer bot should decrease your needed effort, while riding in front increases it. The light is designed to let you (and others in the group) see at a glance how hard you are working relative to your own capacity.
As a basic example, each bot should have it's own wattage range that is unique to the rider. To keep things basic, Oli should be the absolute easiest and Daisy Diamond should be the toughest for any rider.
At no point should an effort indicator be on for a rider with Oli. On the flip side, when riding with Daisy Diamond, every rider should have an indicator light on during the ride, esp. during head winds and hills. This is not the case I have seen. Most if not all other riders never have their light come on.
The bots in their current state, are not tuned to the riders current stats. The bots should use a rolling 30 day avg off the riders current ride stats or provide a method for specifying the actual wattage range for each bot or key off the rider's power zones. Something along those lines.
