Many thanks for this more nuanced suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
We've deliberately not declined this one and will add it to the list of suggestions to consider in more detail. Whilst the general position remains that we deliberately choose not to publish this metric, it potentially could be displayed for yourself only (and be blank when viewing other riders) as an option in the custom UI.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
In general, some degree of gamification can be good, but we need to be careful not to go too far - for example, we would not want to do anything that encouraged an athlete to train when it would be better for them to be resting etc.
It's therefore an area we will certainly be looking at, but at this stage it's unclear what changes we may or may not make.

An error occurred while saving the comment James Eastwood commentedYes! We had this exact idea on the discord a while back. You could even make the workout blind, where you choose a type of workout (endurance, tempo, threshold, vo2 max, sprints, mixed etc) and you don't see the intervals, you just have to keep up with the bots. You could also get a score depending on how well you do, and if you get dropped you can teleport back.

An error occurred while saving the comment James Eastwood commentedFrom DC Rainmaker:
"They stopped accepting inbound training platform applications many years ago, roughly a bit after the Tacx acquisition (as they half-heartedly want you to us the Tacx App). A number of other training platforms have requested access since.
The only one they’d accept these days, if requested, would be Peloton (since the benefit to Garmin far outweighs the handful of people that might be overlap). But doesn’t sound like Peloton is interested in that."

There is a workaround to use RunGap to spoof as a garmin device and automatically upload your activities. If you join the TPV facebook group and search for RunGap, you will find my detailed guide.

An error occurred while saving the comment James Eastwood commentedA more interesting approach than a screenshot would be a summary of your ride depending on the type, for example the results for a race, or the workout graphic for a workout.

An error occurred while saving the comment James Eastwood commentedTo think outside the box a little, rather than companion app, I would rather a mobile-responsive companion website. This could have all of the capabilities of an app, but without the development and testing overhead.

One of those workouts is heart rate based, they need to be power based to appear in TPV. I'm not sure about the other one.
