I read this and was like, eh?
Then I read it again... and I get it. That would be great. You get the benefits of an erg mode minimal attention workout, but with the variety you'd experience in real life from changing terrain.

When GPXplore is released you will be able to create a route than descends the other side. These are created as 1-way routes.

+1 for this, but for me specifically or would be to make use of Suunto's ZoneSense algorithm which does a far better job than power or HR at showing your real physiological zone considering things like fatigue.
