    Custom routes are vital IMO for creating engaging events. I and many other event organisers have discussed this numerous times and patience is definitely running out. There is little way to differentiate between events because the current routes are poor and no way to introduce imagination.

    Desperately need more courses that reflect real world amateur race courses and scenery at least immitating more typical cycling environments. Sorry to be blunt but I never use TPV for base mileage if the weather is bad because it isn't engaging at all. I don't think islands is the way to go, as suggested elsewhere, a more continental feel.
