I’m a skating coach and use TrainingPeaks to analyze and create training plans. In speed skating, we don’t have power meters to measure training load alongside heart rate data. However, we do have lap times measured with a transponder, and these lap times provide a good indication of training intensity, similar to how a power meter works in cycling.

I was wondering if it’s possible to use lap times as custom zones in TrainingPeaks, so that I can analyze what percentage of a training session was completed in each lap time zone, similar to speed zones in running or power zones in cycling.

Is this something that can be configured with your help, or could it be considered as a feature for future development? It’s good to note that lap time data is already included in the files athletes upload to TrainingPeaks.
