Be able to compute PA:HR if power data is available (Heart Rate Drift)
If in your training data power is available, you can only calculate Pw:Hr. It is annoying to alter your training data and delete the power data to calculate Pa:Hr. It would be super nice if you could just select the calculated variant with a dropdown of Pw:Hr and Pa:Hr, for example. This would make Heart Rate Drift much more convenient to calculate.
This hit me after the new updates by Garmin, your watch delivers Power with a Garmin strap, and you cannot really turn that off.

Better visualization of multisport workouts
For a triathlon, there are 5 workouts uploaded to the calendar (Swim, T1, Bike, T2, Run). I could cope with that. But when it comes to swimrun, workouts with 15 runs and 14 swims are normal. This bloats the calendar.
I want TP to be able to show this as one event but when i go into the details of the workout, all workouts that makes up this multisport event are listed. Garmin Connect handles this in a neat way.

Support visibility into SRAM eTap shifting data
SRAM eTap tracks shifting data and I can see that data on my Garmin Edge 1030 but that doesn't get surfaced up into my TP workouts. I know this data is in the SRAM AXS portal also. Perhaps by building a connection to that partner the data could be mapped in?

Heart rate zones based on lab-based lactic acid threshold test
Having completed a lactic acid threshold test I would appreciate the option to set the heart rate for 2mmol/L, the heart rate for 4mmol/L, max heart rate and resting heart rate.
I may be in the minority, but have found that entering either of these heart rate thresholds as well as my max and resting heart rate have not yielded reasonable results for the Zone calculation. I ended up having to play around with the threshold until I arrived at reasonable zones.
Alternatively/in addition, links to the source material of how the wealth of methods calculate threshold would be helpful…21 votes -

ramp rate needs units specified
I like the "Ramp Rate (RR)" metrics on the dashboard but not sure the data is as helpful (unambiguous) as it could be. The ramp rate is quoted in CTL per number of days. But the RR, as discussed in Joe F's Blog (linked on the home page), gives targets in CTL/week, which is a number that is more meaningful. Could your metrics be displayed in CTL/week to make it easier to understand/use? A bare number without the units specified is ambiguous.

Median Heart Rate
Hi, it is possible to add the ability to select median heart rate rather than average? If there are enough outliers in the data, it will skew the results. As an example, I just completed an hour run. My heart rate settled in to a range of 130-132 for most of the run but since there was a ramp in the beginning and at the end, they were included and it skewed the average down. I have also seen this have a larger impact on treadmill runs where I had to stop momentarily to start another session since I exceeded…

Add rolling average options to [metrics] charts
Due to displaying multiple scales on the same chart and that the data is fairly well-bounded, the plots of metrics feels very "choppy." It'd be nice to have an option to display data in a rolling average form to smooth it out. Businesses already do this for displaying YoY data for the same reason. See attached screenshot as an example.

Validate/Sanity Check Peak Performances
For Peak Performances, if I set a new record that's greater than 25% more than my previous, I feel it should ask me to confirm if it's valid. Or at least some checks that I'm not running faster than Usain Bolt's 100m mph for a full mile, or swimming faster than Michael Phelps or biking faster than Lance Armstrong, etc... For those of us that live in a city and the buildings the GPS can be inaccurate and cause wildly incorrect times and an upper bound would be quite useful.

Include temperature to the snchronized metrics from Withings
I have been tracking blood pressure and weight with the help of Withings devices for some time now. Both are synchronized from Withings to Training Peaks.
Recently I've added body temperature to the metrics I track with Withings; however there is no body temperature field in TP metrics for me to enter them, and oviously it is also not being synchronized.
Would be great if this field could be added, and an import from withings implemented.

Sync with Oura Ring and Hyperice Apps.
A sync with Oura Ring can help TP’s take into consideration sleep time and quality, HRV, Resting heart rate and recovery status. A sync with Hyperice can help TP’s take into consideration recovery modalities used by the user and adjust the fatigue and stress scores accordingly. Both can help to avoid overtraining and or give overtraining alert suggestions based on data pulled from Oura and Hyperice.

Make the PP chart infinitely variable. Do not include only the specific time intervals (5s, 10s, 12s, 20s, etc.).
The PP chart in Strava, Golden Cheetah, etc. show peak power numbers for basically all time intervals, which is very helpful. It's nice to know if someone smashed an effort 8m long, but then you see a big drop to 10m. Or if someone has a great climb that's 45-50m long and their peak performances are on that climb, but not for 30m or 1h. Those highpoints on the curve are impossible to see with the big gaps in TP.

Future opportunities have not been added to our road map yet, but we are actively collecting feedback which contributes to the prioritization process. Scattered Graph - Save settings introduced by user
Hi there,
when using the scattered graph and introducing different views of various combinations of data channels, these settings will reset to the default every time it is closed and reopened. This does not make too many sense.
Would be a very nice feature if the settings I introduce to the scattered graph would be saved when leaving the dialogue saving it or "save and close" ...
Ideally for bike and run differently as - depending on the discipline - different combinations of channels are relevant / interesting.
What do you think?

Add the ability to compare workouts side by side
It would be nice to compare all parameters side by side for similar workouts. For example, being able to compare 2-4 RT1 workouts from training plan. Or being able to compare multiple runs on a trail, etc.
