Improve search in strength training workout builder.
Right now the search function is not great. If you search for things out of order or with incomplete words, search does not function as it should, so you effectively have to know the name of the workout you're searching for and type it in sequence, in full.
For example, "Swiss Ball Back Extension" cannot be found by searching "back extension" "swiss back."
The builder is also clunky, taking >1gb to run, which makes it run slowly by today's standards. Not sure if there's a solution for this, but it looks like it runs about 5-10x bigger than most web…

Chart for dashboard that shows me historic & future ramp rate based on the workouts completed/planned (that have TSS/IF of course).
Option for a chart on the dashboard that shows me historic & future CTL ramp rate based on the workouts completed/planned (that have TSS/IF of course).
Now we have to manually calculate the CTL ramp rate by subtracting the CTL from 7 days before until now.
Thanks
14 votesWe just released TSS based ATP. This new tool can assist in dialing in your periodization, ramp rate and CTL. Thanks for your suggestion.

Allow range for workout targets
When creating workout targets in the workout builder, allow setting target values for duration in range.
For example, currently instead of 10 min warm up at 60%,
allow setting 10 min warm up at 60% - 65% (this is usually how coaches specify target values..).This should also apply for actual values, not just percentage of TH. e.g., 10 min warm up at 100 - 120 bpm / 120-150 watt).

The workout builder has been updated with three new features:1. Workout steps can be set to have an open duration. For most devices pressing the lap button will take you to the next step of the workout. This is currently available for Garmin devices. We expect other device manufacturers to implement this feature shortly. A suggested duration is still required for these steps so the planned duration and TSS for the workout can be calculated. This value will also be used for devices and file formats that do not support this feature.
2. Target values for the step (power, pace, heart-rate) can now be set to a custom range. This range will be used for Garmin devices. Most indoor cycling platforms require a single value for ERG mode, and the midpoint of the range will be used in that instance.
3. Cadence can now be set…

One click athlete selection
It would speed up the workflow considerably if in Beta when I click on an athlete it automatically loads that athlete rather than having to click on the athlete name and then loads. The next time I click on the athletes name then as it is loaded I could have the pop up box that gives me the options to delete the athlete or edit settings.
13 votesYou can drag and drop an athlete from the list to the calendar. This works for both the single and dual calendars.

I would like to know my total elevation gain over a period of time (say year to date). That is so basic.
That is so basic. I am so surprised that it's not at least on the workouts.csv file let alone given when you do a search.
12 votesWe have elevation gain by week in the new Beta app, but we could improve it by calculating a total for the date range. Thx for the suggestion.

Workout with both duration and distance
I would like to create a workout that has both duration and distance.
However it seems you can only select one, duration or distance.
For example a recent workout I am doing is run 2.4 kilometres with 90 seconds recovery (repeat twice).
The only work around I can see is to create each section individually, see attachment.12 votes -
Display decoupling for all sport types when the data to calculate it is present
Decoupling should show up on both "Bike" and "Mountain Bike" activity types. Currently, on the beta site, it only shows up for "Bike" activities and I have to change all of my mountain bike rides to "Bike" in order to see my decoupling.

workout search improvements - filter by a single library
As a coach, the currently method of getting to the workout that I want is too cumbersome and time consuming to be useful in the "all new TP". I have over 50 libraries which include thousands of workouts. In the classic TP, I simply typed the single letter of the word that started with the library I wanted (once or a few times to dial to the library to search) then I tabbed to the search field typed in a keyword, and tabbed to the exact workout in seconds without have to use my mouse or scroll through long lists.…
12 votesWe have made a few performance improvements to the library search, and we have plans to add more filtering capabilities to speed up the search.

Total time and Running dynamics
Total time would help identify if people were taking long breaks on their workouts.
Running dynamics similar to the ones Garmin connect has. If you added this then I wouldn't have to open another app to view their data.
12 votesRunning Dynamics data can be viewed in the Scatter Graph. The Scatter Graph is available to coaches and athletes with a premium subscription, and can be added to the File Viewer from the Chart Library.
More information on using the Scatter Graph to analyze Running Dynamics data can be found here:

iThlete HRV RHR AutoSync
Provide the ability to have my iThlete HRV and RHR metrics automatically synced from my iThlete HRV app. This would be similar to how my Garmin Connect data automagically appears in TP. Less data entry the better!

Session description or comment: Open URL automatically in new tab (e.g. open dropbox link with photo of workout from whiteboard)
Currently instead uploading attachments I paste a dropbox link with a photo of each swim workout from whiteboard into session comments.
Would be good in Training Peaks (online/browser) if when you opened workout the url would automatically open in new tab when you click link. At the moment I have to open workout, copy the url, open new tab, paste url to see photo.

Editing training plans
The look and feel is better. It would be great to be able to edit the training plans I made under the old version.

Run race planning
Now that you own BBS, I would like something similar for running. I would like to be able to plan a route (I know that is still missing from Beta/New TP), and enter either a NGP, or duration and get the other back "for an even effort". And then provide split times to hit that target.

Color changes
Some of the color choices have been good. The main one that has NOT been good is the blue that covers text when a workout is opened, rendering the text virtually unreadable. Either the blue needs to be a different color, or the darkness of the text needs to be A LOT darker. For example, opening a workout, clicking on a lap... can't see any of the text after clicking on the lap.

Include PLANNED duration, distance and TSS on NEW email notifications
As I coach I really love the new post workout notifications! The new link the to workout is just awesome. However, ONE minor change would make it even better... You list completed duration, distance and TSS - I would love to see the Planned duration, distance and TSS right above the completed (if there was planned info on the workout), this will help me decide if I need to click on the link to delve in deeper. So my feature request is to add PLANNED duration, distance and TSS to the workout notifications.

Coaches Client Summary Dashboard
Propose a rethinking of post workout notifications for coaches with larger athlete pools. Post workout notification emails work great for up to 5 or 6 athletes, but 10 or more and the volume of email becomes a bit much. Suggest shifting to a coaches only dashboard view where you can view all of your athletes and maybe the current week in one table view along with basic summary info and red, green yellow on completion. When you click on a particular day you would get that day’s workout or workouts in one click from the same view and could review…

Metric Notification Toggle for Coach Home Page Feed
Metrics notifications from the Coach Home Page "Feed" or "Scroll" have gotten out of hand to the point of being completely meaningless. It's not uncommon to get 10-20 notifications per day per athlete for things like "body battery", Sleep, scale and HRV. At a minimum it would be nice to toggle these to on/off for Home Page notifications, ideally to be able to adjust more granularly to get one a day for each per athlete. The notifications (under the bell) do not seem to pick up on metrics activities but are also not as easy to use as the Feed…

peak power chart
On the peak power chart - if the current ride was not the peak performance, I would like to see the date of when the peak power was recorded as I hover over the line in the graph that gives me the top performance.

Bug? - Scrolling - Doesn't stay on the week you are working on
When I scroll (rather than using the arrows) to the week that I want to work on, then make modifications to that week (i.e. add a workout and save it), TP goes back to where I was BEFORE I scrolled - even though I want to continue to work on the week that I scrolled to. I hope this is actually a BUG rather than a WAD, because I find it very frustrating to have to continually have to scroll back down to where I was after each new workout is added (or to have to use the forward one…
