  1. Some of the color choices have been good. The main one that has NOT been good is the blue that covers text when a workout is opened, rendering the text virtually unreadable. Either the blue needs to be a different color, or the darkness of the text needs to be A LOT darker. For example, opening a workout, clicking on a lap... can't see any of the text after clicking on the lap.

  2. Maybe it's just me, but I mostly use a PC. (When I use my phone (Android), this isn’t an issue.)

I always check my workout in TrainingPeaks (TP) before to see what I need to do and read the instructions. Once I finish reading about my workout, I will close it and then I have to manually start TPV from the desktop or Windows menu.

On my phone, however, there’s a button in the workout that automatically launches TPV.
Im missing a TPV button in TP

  4. The extra clicks required by the new metrics modal design impedes manual data entry compared to the previous design. It would be better if tiles for each of the metrics selected as "In use" in the settings appear by default.

The ability to use the tab key to move focus between the metrics, and the ability to input a character or two to select a drop list item, would further improve the usability for manual input (both of these keyboard interactions were dropped at some point over the past six months).

Another improvement would be to an "additional metrics" UI…

  5. Compliance to be based on Duration and Distance.
Alowing a drop down for it (same as rTss, and hrTss.
The user will be able to set the default for him, with override on a specific workout.

    Use case:
Today, If my workout set by coach is to run 10k in one hour. If i run 10k in 40 minutes, from distance POV i am compliant

  7. When building a workout - what would be super useful is to be able to simply copy an existing step. Workout building is too bothersome and time consuming.

  8. I am talking about PC functionality (not mobile app functionality):

    1) I like how in dashboard view we can re-arrange the charts by dragging-and-dropping.

    2) why can't we - when building a workout - doing the same dragging-and-dropping when re-arranging the order of steps?

    Food for thought.

  9. In addition to the plot of my metrics, i want to display the trend of the metrics.
E.g. the HRV is going down over the defined date range.
With the help of excel its really easy to generate and plot this trend line within a diagram.
As you can see in my attached screenshot, I can clearly see that the HRV trend is going down. With this knowledge, I can push or slow down my athletes.

In my opinion, a linear interpolation of the values of the selected range should be enough.

  10. TrainingPeaks Virtual is not available on Apple TV devices. I use Zwift for indoor training right now and use an Apple TV 4k to run it on a big screen TV. I would really like to change to TrainingPeaks Virtual but do not have the intention to completely renew my setup. Paying the annual fee for TrainingPeaks however wouldn't be a problem. I think many Zwift users are willing to change to a platform like TrainingPeaks Virtual but hardware support can be an issue this way.

  11. Super happy with the TPVirtula addition -- I might just let go of Trainer Road.
But I came to appreciate its simple workout interface and I dread the return to virtual cycling.

I just need an app to connect my planned workouts to my trainer. I would love to have the possibility to do it with a basic, TR-like visual.

    Thanks

  12. Currently I only see two options related to the completion of strength workouts. Completed or not completed. There should be a possibility for partial completion. My guess is that time will be managed via synching with the activity file, which is already planned, but it should also be possible to edit the completed reps, actual weight, etc.

  15. Previously we were able to write notes into the metrics tool. Now it only shows us a 'Quick View' of our metrics data in multiple panels. Please bring back the original format where we could make notes and comment on our metrics.

This is now rolling out in the new Metrics modal. You can now also click on a metric card on a day and see HRV, RHR and Sleep duration trends and 'normal' range. This is available for Garmin Health with more devices supported soon!

  16. Today's update (browser based app) really messed up my ability to keep all my metrics in a single window; it now forces me to see the metrics that TP (Training Peaks) imports from Garmin in one calendar "window" and my added metrics in a second calendar window!

I really liked, and prefer, the previous method of containing both types of metrics together in a single calendar window. The attached graphic file (*.png) shows, in green arrows, the preferred calendar "window" vs. today's new method, in red arrows.

  17. It would be great if the first result(s) are the most common or generic option when adding an exercise to the plan. While it is nice the New Strength Builder has a large library of exercise (names) to choose from, this plethora of variations makes it difficult to prescribe just the most basic exercise.

For example, if I search "squat", I most likely want a back squat, not an air squat, anderson squat, cossack squat, etc. This most-common variant could even be bolded or highlighted in such a way to indicate it is recommended.

This is important when exercises are…

  18. Current Metrics calendar card view allows for only one Metrics to be quickly viewed. I would like to have two so that I can quickly review HRV and Resting HR quickly each day of the week without opening each day.

  19. Love the new strength training interface. Is there a way that the new strength training feature can pull up old history of weights used in past workouts? That would be a helpful feature for clients to see what they did last sessions with the same exercise

    Hi all!

We’re excited to share that Exercise History is now live in the TrainingPeaks mobile app (v12.62.0)!

You can access this feature directly within your strength workouts to view past performances.

We appreciate your suggestions, and your input continues to drive updates like this. I'm going to complete this Idea to more easily track theses suggestions.

Thanks for being a part of the TrainingPeaks community!

  20. With HRV being measured by more and more people using a smartwatch, this value is also becoming more interesting for coaches. For coaches, it is important to know whether an athlete consumes alcohol because there is a dose response relationship between alcohol consumption and a lower HRV value. It would be good if an athlete could add in the metrics that he drank alcohol and how much. In addition, more comprehensive analyses could add value for coaches. A graph with standard deviations and bandwidth. A table with the weekly average HRV value could also be of added value as well…

Your athletes can enter alcohol consumption in the Notes field for now with future enhancements supporting more metric tracking.
