Dear TrainHeroic Team,

I am writing to formally request the implementation of exercise reordering functionality for athletes during live workout sessions. This feature has been consistently requested by your user community for over two years and remains one of the most demanded—yet unimplemented—capabilities in your platform.

The Problem

Training in real-world gym environments requires flexibility that your current system does not provide. Circumstances change during workouts:

* Equipment becomes unavailable or occupied by other gym members
* Space constraints shift, making certain exercises impractical
* Athlete readiness changes based on recovery or energy levels
* Training partners' availability affects the original workout sequence
* Injury prevention may require reordering to accommodate limitations

Current Limitations: Athletes can only swap exercises for alternatives or add bonus movements at the end. They cannot reorder the prescribed sequence of exercises—a critical gap that forces suboptimal training sessions or manual logging workarounds.

Evidence of User Demand

UserVoice Metrics

Your own feedback platform documents strong user demand:

* "Re-order exercises in the middle of session" — 60 votes
* "Ability to Drag and Drop to Reorder Exercises in a Session" — 37 votes
* Total: 97+ documented user requests for this exact functionality

These requests have appeared consistently since at least 2024, yet remain unaddressed.

Competitive Disadvantage

In your own competitive analysis, the lack of exercise reordering is explicitly cited as a "significant drawback" compared to competitors. Hevy Coach, for example, prominently highlights drag-and-drop exercise reordering as a superior feature in their platform comparison.

This absence is now a measurable point of product differentiation in your competitors' favor.

Business Impact

User Retention: Athletes seeking flexibility switch to platforms offering this capability.

Data Integrity: When users cannot execute their prescribed workouts as intended, they either skip tracking modifications or use manual workarounds, reducing data quality.

Coach Satisfaction: Coaches designing programs want assurance that athletes can adapt to real-world conditions without abandoning the prescribed structure entirely.

Market Position: As a training-focused platform, rigid workout sequences undermine your value proposition compared to solutions offering adaptive training.

Recommended Implementation

For Athletes (Priority)

* Drag-and-drop reordering within a workout session during or before logging
* Alternatively: long-press + drag, or arrow buttons for mobile reordering
* Maintain existing swap and add-exercise functionality
* Log exercise reordering as a trackable session modification (similar to exercise swaps)

For Coaches (Enhancement)

* Expand the current arrow-button reordering on web to include drag-and-drop
* Faster workflow for program design and adjustments

I would appreciate a response regarding the status of this feature and any timeline for implementation.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

Vlad

Also important when planning a session on a computer. Currently it always adds new exercises at the bottom of a session. Drag and drop would be great.

For example, if I'm in the gym and someone is on the equipment that I need, so I must shift that movement later in my workout. Or if I'm pressed for time, and need to prioritize which movements I accomplish on a day, I may re-order my entire workout. Right now, I would need to delete everything in the session and re-add all movements in the order I want. Instead I'd like to see the ability to essentially drag movements up or down within the session.
