I would like for there to be an option to build/create a course/route for activities prior to completing them for planning purposes.

Of something like - provide expected distance and elevation gain - and some automation will provide a proposal of route to achieve that.
Currently it can be achieved by selecting some route and do laps of it - but if engine generate some more varied route - that would be nice.
