Remove Dropdown List UI Elements for Popover
Problem: Current UI design uses Dropdown List in many of the advanced setting screen. This type of UI offers a bad UX for people on mobile (ie. small screen with fat fingers) or for devices that uses limited remote control (ie. Apple TV).
Recommendation: Remove the dropdown list and use Popover to simplify UI for all platform.
For example when creating an event and selecting a route, instead of a dropdown list with a tiny scroll, have a scrollable popover menu with larger touch area with the first list item (or previous selected) highlighted. Popover menu will have the highest level Z-Order so the user control is focused on selecting items from the list. Touching or selecting anywhere outside of the popover menu will exit the popover menu.

Single UI across multiple platforms works ... But it needs to be designed for the hardest interactions to start with. IndieVelo started off as a Computer with keyboard and mouse interface. Now that it has grown into multiple platforms, it need to rethink of a mobile/ATV design and in general a good mobile design also works on a PC

Overall, all dropdown UI elements are disaster on (Android) phone. It literally takes minutes to pick a route for a workout.
Using a single graphics/game engine across all supported platform is undoubtedly cool, but usability really suffers

When you first signup and you attempt to add the Country selecting the country is nearly impossible via mobile device. I attempted to scroll through and it just kept going back to UK.
