HUB: HUD on second screen
It would be great if you could show the HUD and workout information just on a second screen (laptop in my case) just like a big bikecomputer and have the main (big) screen to just show the road ahead (or optionaly show HUD info on both)

UI/UX: buttons "menù" and "workout" that appear in the bottom letf corner of the display
Hi
I train TPVirtual with iPad 13" PRO (iOS 18.1), GAME RELEASE 0.4.2 (latest).
When application starts everything sounds good.
It works perfectly.But...
if you touch the display for any reason (just to give ride-on, change the view, give a look to the menù...) the risk (randomic events) is that the "menu and workout" commands appear in the bottom corner (on the left).
After 5" all the rest of the buttoms disappear (I mean the buttoms such "left... right... pause... view.. erg... kudos... intensity"... and so on) but the "menù" and "workout".They remain visible in a "ON position"…

UI/UX: More data fields customizable
Have more data fields customizable in the HUD ie:
- Remaining Elevation is the one coming the most
- Laps averages during races and free rides (HR, Power, cadence etc...)
- A kind of climb pro graph, where current climb with distance to finish the climb and remaining elevation to top of the climb is displayed instead of the map11 votes -
Mini gradient viewer
When riding or racing a long route or route with multiple laps the gradient gets very compressed and loses a lot of small detail once this happens, this is even more noticeable now GPXplore is now a thing.
My proposal is a gradient profile under the mini-map that shows the next 5km with your position always being 1km in so effectively the next 4km with the last 1km behind you. I have mocked it up to make it clearer

MECHANICS: Sprint segments and PR's
I would really love to have visual sprint PR's and segments in the TPV routes. How Zwift has implemented it is really nice. Would be a great feature for me and could be a nice motivator during free riding/group rides/races.

WORKOUTS: Allow workouts to continue when the network gets disconnected.
The experience for me so far has been extremely poor and frustrating because I have gotten a "network error" issue and the ride shuts down mid-way through a workout. That's a super frustrating experience..it has not happened to me on Zwift. I'm not sure if it's a clientside or serverside issue but the app needs to allow a workout to continue even if there is a blip in the network.
I'm trying my third workout tonight but if this happens a third time I'm probably not coming back.
10 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This appears to be a bug as the platform should already allow you to continue riding on your own (and therefore able to complete a workout) even if you are disconnected from the server, for whatever reason.
We've turned on some advanced logging for your account so if this happens again we'll get full diagnostics and will be able to understand what is different about your system's configuration compared to others (who don't see this issue) and to debug and fix the issue quickly for you.

OTHER: Improve Documentation
I was quite interested in yesterday's update, specifically this line:
"Added Zen mode for focused training, riding alone in peace."
"This week's release (see below for more details), headlines with more of your ideas, including the new Zen Mode, enabling you to train in peace and focus on your own riding without the distraction of other riders or chat."
But I cannot find any documentation for "Zen Mode" outside of this comment. I have updated my app and searched everywhere for a Zen Mode function, but I don't see it.
When new features are added, instructions should be provided somewhere.
10 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
There's no doubt that the documentation can be improved, and we'll make that happen.
In the meantime, Zen mode can be activated from Main Menu > Options > UI Settings and will turn off the display of other riders (and their chat) allowing you to ride in peace and just focus on your own training!

EVENTS: Omnium Racing
Allow for an omnium style event to be ONE large race with sub races within the same event (aka you never leave the player pool). I did my first omnium last night and it was awesome, but I realized because each race in the Omnium is separate there are 3 challenges that we face because of that:
1) bots don’t race in all the races
2) the bots lose their fatigued status
3) the points for each race are calculated manually after all races are concluded instead of being totaled up in game like a standard points race.I think…

OTHER: Easy Custom Kit Creation
It would be great if the template was a cutout where the jersey is supposed to be. That way the user can put some colors and whatever design they want and then simply apply the template over-top of the design so that we don’t need to do any cutting out and such.
The jersey design process is probably not designed for someone like me, I totally understand, but it is very non-trivial and much more difficult to create than I would have assumed going into it

HUB: Be Able to Send Invitations to Join Team
Be able to send invitation links to potential team members to join your team. If they are not already signed up for TP, it prompts them to do so. Similar to how a coach can send a link to someone to connect their athlete account to your coach account. This process works very well. It would be an improvement over the two options now of having the athlete dig through a team list or the team lead having to search for the athlete in a list.

UI/UX: Minimap to show location of pace bots
When riding with a pace group, it would be very helpful to know where the pace bot is, but making its dot the colour of the pace bot, and on top of the other dots. The particular gains of this idea would be:
(A) when one group overtakes another, making sure you stay in the group you intend to.
(B) when you are hoping to catch a group, especially if it is coming the other way, getting advance warning of its arrival so you position yourself and get up to speed.10 votes -
UI/UX: Ending ride.
Can the control to stop / end ride be made easier to locate. Using iPad Pro it wasn’t obvious and ended up closing whole app to finish.

OTHER: Support sound from multiple sources on PC (e.g. run Spotify in the background)
As a rider I would like to play music from the source of my choosing on my PC while I use TP Virtual while hearing the TPVirtual sounds at the same time.

WORLD: Consistent Scenery
Not so much a new idea but an evolution of existing. The 'cruiseliners' seem wrong to me even unrealistic and they block the view. They are too close to the shore ... unless they've actually run aground. How do the passengers get ashore? either a wharf or maybe some shore landing feature with smaller boats tied up ... and anyway is there really enough for them to do and see when they're here?
Perhaps some more modest expedition cruisers might fit better.Georgetown and the other 'villages' seem abandoned and do not have a cohesive style, these need to be…

UI/UX: Add realtime carb burn to HUD options
TrainingPeaks has just added the ability to show calories burned split by carbs and fat.
It would be great if it was possible to show carb burn (ideally in grams of carbs rather than calories, i.e. divided by 4) in realtime whilst riding. This will help fuel during an activity and replenish appropriately afterwards.

EVENTS: Auto-End Elimination Races and Declare Winner When One Rider Remains
Case:
An elimination race setup without bots filling the pen.
Example: A 30-lap elimination race where one rider is eliminated per lap. If only 20 human riders start, after 18 laps, only two remain for the final sprint.Result:
After the 19th lap, the winner is determined. However, if this rider stops and exits the race, they receive a disqualification (DQ). Currently, the winner must complete all remaining laps to officially finish and win the race.
Request:
Once only one rider remains in an elimination race, they should be declared the winner, and the event should end, disregarding the remaining…
