PAIRING: garmin heart rate
I'm running TrainingPeaks Virtual on a Samsung tablet. Everything works fine, except for heart rate. I have a Garmin HRM, which is detected and paired. It shows the battery level for the HRM, but not any heart rate reading. This makes it pointless for me doing ride and workouts. I've done a couple, recording on my Garmin cycle computer, but that's less than ideal for syncing back to TrainingPeaks.

MECHANICS: Stop ride as soon as pause is selected
When I select the pause button during a workout the timer keeps going u til my bike has come to a stop. Would be nice if the timer stopped immediately.

FITFILES: Dropbox Integration (upload *.FIT files automatically)
While the Garmin Connect issue is resolved it would help if VTP can upload to Dropbox the fit files automatically so we can use RunGap easier.

PAIRING: TP Virtual does not detect my ANT+ usb stick
TP Virtual does not detect my ANT+ usb stick if it isn't connected on startup of the software (windows)
It does work fine if the ANT+ adapter is connected during startup.
This is a little annoying as you need to restart the software before being able to use ANT+.

EXTERNAL: Apple Watch integration
Is there going to be Apple Watch support for Training Peaks Virtual in the future?

WORKOUTS: Training activity data limited
Carried out a ramp test as a test run and the data given is limited and doesn't show the given FTP anywhere other than briefly after the test was complete. Would be nice to give more activity data to review after activities have taken place

MECHANICS: Adaptive Cruise Control
The new Cruise Control feature is fantastic, it locks in a target power beautifully. But… it flattens the virtual terrain completely, and that takes away a big part of the immersive feel.
Suggestion: Add a “Virtual Cruise Control” mode where the set power applies to 0% gradient, and you choose a bias (0–10) to scale power with incline.
For example:
Set power = 200 W, incline = 2%, bias = 2
Resulting power = 200 W + (200 × 0.02 × 2) = 208 WThis way, you keep the benefits of steady pacing and get the natural resistance changes…

MECHANICS: Stream GPS coordinates when riding a GPX route.
Currently the broadcast/streaming mode updates rider detail such as speed and distance via HTTP or a local file. It would open new opportunities for 3rd party applications if the new GPX routes could also supply GPS coordinates for the rider position

HUB: Public ARR rankings
There way a previous request but I think it was misunderstood.
Can we have a filterable public ladder of ARR ranks. This gives some incentive for competitive to move up the ladder and participant in different types of event.
It should be filterable, e.g. by country, age group, gender etc.

WORKOUTS: FTP ramptest result not showing
FTP ramptest result not showing
I recently finished a ramptest and failed at about 400 W. But where do I see the result as my new FTP? It is not showing anywhere.8 votes -
PAIRING: Allow Climb to change gradients during Train/Workout mode to match the route
Allow the KICKR to change the gradient of the KICKR Climb when doing a workout from the Train menu.
Using the Climb remote control you can already lock it if you want to, so allow users to have it vary automatically if they want. If there is a training reason then maybe add a message recommending user to keep it at 0%.

UI/UX: Move "Pen closes In" text to bottom left above join pen button
I appreciate the reminder to join a race pen on screen but it clashes with workout text. I like to do a warm up "workout" pre race and the reminder for pen and workout text clash with each other.
Ideally the reminder would be bottom left above the Join Pen button, as a minimum could it be sent backwards one level so that it is behind the workout instructions.

EVENTS: “Smart” Neutralized Start
Instead of defining a fixed power sweep for the neutralized starts, it would be great to have something that took the average of the riders FTPs in the pen and then swept the neutral start power as a percentage of the average FTP of the group.
That would enable each pen to have an appropriate power level neutral start (pen 1 needs is much different than pen 4 needs).
The neutral start power options could be something like “Easy” “Moderate” “Hard” to allow the race creator some flexibility in terms of the percentage ranged of the average FTP? And/or allow…

EVENTS: Trainer Difficulty Minimum for Event Organizers
Currently there is an option for organizers to set trainer difficulty to maximum for all riders. However, there are some very steep slopes in TPV and not everyone has the gear range for those hills. But it still might be nice to enforce a minimum of 50% trainer difficulty so that all riders would feel the wind, braking, and slope and have to change gears accordingly.

WORKOUTS: Overriding FTP in ZWO workout files: e.g. <ftpoverride>235</ftpoverride>
First, many thanks for implenting ZWO file import into our TP workout libraries (TPv 0.4.7)!
I mentioned this back in the days of IndieVelo but I'll request it again here.
Xert uses a fairly dynamic concept of Threshold Power that changes according to how well you are performing the training. It can decay as well as increase during a training micro-cycle. When Xert generates ZWO files it enters the user's Threshold Power into the ZWO file as <ftpoverride>ThresholdPowerWATTS</ftpoverride>. Please enable TPv honour this override.

PAIRING: How do I escalate a support issue?
I have been going back and forth with customer support, attempting to solve an Issue with using my Macbook with either ANT+ or Ethernet connection with TPV. I have pointed out SEVERAL times that the setup works perfectrly with ZWIFT and has worked for 2 years. I have not received ANY helpful information or assistance, and have asked to escalate the issue. I have been ignored. Instead I have received tips like the following:
"To use direct connect, you should run an ethernet cable between your trainer and router, and then just use an ordinary wifi connection between your computer…

MECHANICS: Allow rider to stay in world when exiting an event
Very occasionally I have DNF an event consisting of a lot of climbing, when it just isn't happening that day. I would like to be able to exit the event, but stay in the world so that I can either ride down the mountain or even just to do a bit of a cool down in the same activity.

MECHANICS: Navigate to a waypoint on a free ride
During a free ride, if I wanted to get a specific location like the arena, it would be nice to select a waypoint and have a route dynamically created that navigates me to that point.

PAIRING: Bluetooth connection of wahoo heart rate monitor is unstable and does not reliably connect
The wahoo heart rate monitor does not reliably connect to TrainingPeaks Virtual. When it does not connect you are locked out of events. It’s frustrating. Thanks Martin
