It's pretty wild that this doesn't just work, but wanted to put the workaround I came up with out there for other people who run into it.
Say you have a training plan from June 1 to October 1, but you have a two week trip starting August 1 that you want to clear. If you select August 1 to October 1 and say "move forward 2 weeks" it will move everything but the notes, and then you are stuck with mismatched notes and workouts.
Instead, what you have to do is select August 1 to October 1, and say "move to some time later than October 15, say December 1". Then you'll have your whole second half of your plan out there in no man's land, and a bunch of notes between August 1 and October 1. Now you select that period again, and say "move forward two weeks". This will (weirdly) move just your notes two weeks forward. NOW you can select the period from December 1 until the end of the plan, and move that to when your plan restarts (in this example, two weeks after August 1). Now your notes and your future workouts all line up again, with a two week gap.
