Free ride - ERG cruise control
During a free ride, it should be possible to turn on ERG and lock it to your current power, and then you can shift the ERG value up/down 5w with another key. Functioning much like cruise control on a car.
This has many practical benefits - it means you can execute a flexible erg workout whilst free riding, for example ERG on the flat and then turn it off for a climb, and then back on. It would also allow you to maintain a certain power whilst you are distracted with something else.

Yes, I definitely agree! Also during short sprints it would be really helpful to ride it free without ERG control on and then be able to turn it on again afterwards. (as it is possible within zwift)

I would like this too! I currently use a workout that has a short warmup/cooldown with a 53 minute z2 interval in the middle. But, this is just a bit clunky and sometimes I'd like to go a little longer or shorter. ERG Cruise control would make all of that much easier

Agree, this would be great (had a request for similar feature awhile back). Would like to enter in the power # for ERG vs locking in current power and then have ability to increase / decrease.
Would also be great if someone could join a group ride and also use this feature. Ie, set their ERG power target so they can stay in their training zone but still ride socially with friends. If rubberband is turned on, it should keep them in contact with the group.
