Functionality to change routes mid ride
I would like to be able to switch routes mid-ride without having to save and start over. The use case for this is that I have completed a route, e.g., for the first time, and now want to tackle something else. Another use case would be switching between hilly and flat routes depending on training needs, e.g., warm up and then intervals.
Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.11) which is out today. This adds a new option to the Action menu bar at the bottom middle of the screen to enable you to select a new route at any time. When selected, you'll immediately be teleported to the start of the route and can immediately ride from there.
This new feature can be triggered in the middle of a workout without interrupting it, and both (or more!) routes that you ride will all be contained within the same FIT file.

Also would be nice if you can complete a route without having to select it.

I have tried to day to complete both "North Lake" and "North Lake Reverse" during my workout. However, only the "North Lake Reverse" counted as completed while "North Lake" did not count as completed even though I completed 2 full laps after the reverse.
Would be nice if you could link up shorter routes to complete them all easier!

And switch to different route in the same activity. Because i would like to ride all the routes but the smallest are less then 5km.

I would like to be able to switch to a different workout (choose from library) while remaining in the same activity on the same route.

My husband chose "free ride" last night and ended up doing a lot more climbing than he would have liked. He was already 20 minutes into his workout when he realized there was a continuous climb with no end but he did not want to exit and start the workout over.

It would be great if you could change the course without ending and saving the ride. I often do multiple courses but then have multiple seperate rides saved.

I too would like the option to do this.

Is it possible to take the same route back after triggering a U-turn without having to choose the correct route at a fork in the road.
