  1. When using mobile device, its not showing device battery percentage and clock(current time).

This is very handy to avoid disconnection due battery and miss personal appointments if limited of time

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.8) available now on all platforms.

  2. I would love to see a companion app developed to have ride manipulation more accessible on the bike.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this week's release (v0.4.18) introduces the first public release of the TrainingPeaks Hub mobile app (available on both the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store).

Simply download and you can then access key functions (such as in-world chat, and viewing / signing up to events) using your phone.

We will continue to expand the function available through the Hub app over the coming weeks and months ahead - including adding a second screen to view your live data, in-world controls (such as junction direction selection) and Bluetooth bridging. Please feel free to raise any of your suggestions for enhancements on UserVoice as we'd love to hear from you, and then build for you, the experiences that committed athletes want and need.

  3. It would be amazing to be able to plot your own course for an event. This would open up a lot of opportunities for different types of workouts. We could create new, dynamic race courses that would add a lot of flavor to the existing roads.

A secondary, and maybe easier, implementation of this would be the ability to link courses. This way, you could do a longer route and then finish on a circuit to get the distance you wanted. Or, warmup with 8 laps on the velodrome before setting out.

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.27 - which is out today), introduces a brand new experience - GPXplore.- that enables you to ride any route you like simply by uploading a GPX file, exactly as you suggest.

Initially we've opened up testing of GPXplore to everyone with a number of iconic "World Routes", and will rollout the ability to upload your own routes over the course of September. Thank you again for your suggestion, and hope that you enjoy riding whatever routes you want, whenever you want, on TrainingPeaks Virtual.

  4. While training it is helpful to adjust the FTP up or down while riding. This helps adjust intervals as fatigue sets in. It also allow to fine tune power zones to heart rate zones. The idea is to have the ride on a large device and also allow another device to view the ride while it is in progress and make adjustments. If you are using a PC to run TrainingPeaks Virtual, if an adjustment is needed, you need to get off the trainer, make the adjustment, and start riding again.

You can already change the percentage effort on mobile devices (and all other platforms) by clicking on the action bar at the bottom middle of the screen and then selecting the + or - buttons to increase / decrease difficulty accordingly.

If you have a keyboard, then you can also use the + / - hotkeys directly.

  5. Given the realistic braking and positioning physics, it would be great to have a crit course with 90 degree turns. Would also be great for training as you would need to hammer out of each turn.

Many thanks for your suggestion, and continued support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.26, out this week) includes 7 new crit courses over a variety of lengths and difficulties which should give some amazing opportunities for events!

  6. The biggest thing I noticed between virtual and the app I was previously using was in the other app I could minimize it and check my messages or look something up and I was still in my workout. In virtual every time I minimized the app, it kicked me out of my workout and went back to the beginning. I used prescribed workouts from my coach and this was a bummer.

You can already set up the application to enable running in a Windowed mode (which will allow you to use other Windows in the background). From the Main Menu, select "Graphics Settings" > "Screen Mode" > "Windowed".

  7. Use data from power meter to control erg mode on smart trainer.

You can already configure your powermeter to act as the primary control device when riding. Simply select from the Main Menu: "Options" > "Trainer Settings" > "Prefer Powermeter".

  8. A button to lap easily during any ride and do workouts properly! By far the most common feature we ALL need and NO platform provides

You can already add Lap markers to a ride and these will appear in the FIT file for later analysis etc. On a device with a keyboard simply press the hotkey "L" for (L)ap.

  10. The flame banners for interval completion are great, but they don't appear on the mini-map, which makes them hard to see when round a corner etc. At first glance, these things seem unimportant (there's a timer after all) but it's much easier to work towards a point in the road than to count down seconds.
