  1. A lot of my clients are asking for Monthly payment options and then asking if they are premier account holders if there is a discount on TP VR

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

TrainingPeaks actually already offers monthly payment for Premium subscriptions, so you can just select that if you wish. Note however that an annual subscription is ridiculously good value (12 months for approximately the price of 6 months), so we would strongly recommend going with the annual subscription as it will provide you with much better long term value.

  2. It would be great if there was an IndieVelo founder's for legacy sake. I think a lot are proud to have supported the start of a great community.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

As has been noted in the comments, this is already fully supported - members of the indieVelo Founders Club can select that as their team and ride wearing the IVFC jersey.

  3. During a race at the moment, the best way to go view a rider is to click the first/last person on the rider list on the right-hand side. If you want to move just a few places up/down that is fine, but if you want to find someone 100 riders away - that is just not going to happen.

It would be great if there was a way to have a scroll bar or maybe click into groups or something that would make it faster/easier to go view other riders.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. Please see https://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/articles/31340399556877-TrainingPeaks-Virtual-Controls-and-Keyboard-Shortcuts for details of keyboard & controller shortcuts to move forward/back by one group at a time etc.

  4. Add the ability to resume a workout. When you inadvertently end a programmed workout early the option to pick up where you left off would be helpful.

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

As has been mentioned in the comments, TrainingPeaks Virtual already fully supports this feature. You can quickly skip forward (or back if you want to repeat sections of a workout!) using either hotkeys (TAB / SHIFT+TAB) or the menu action buttons at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Regardless of the last response i still see other workout types in TPV synchronized by TP… see screenshot

  6. Version 0.4.18 is still terrible with the Apple TV remote. The AppleTV remote response is awful. Difficult to scroll. Difficult to get the selection over the right button in the UI. Difficult to click on anything. It might even be worse than before.

I even tried my iPhone's AppleTV remote app. With that I could scroll OK, but clicking is apparently disabled. Couldn't click on anything with the iPhone.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this week's release (v0.4.18) resolves the issues with the AppleTV remote by replacing it completely with the new TrainingPeaks Hub mobile app.

You now no longer need to use the AppleTV remote at all - just download the TrainingPeaks Hub mobile app (available on both the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store), and use the built-in remote control function. This enables you to easily and quickly navigate menus and enter text using your phone - a truly game-changing experience when using AppleTV.

  7. I started off with over 75% battery on a virtual ride in TrainingPeaks and it went down to 10% in less than an hour. My iPad has never drained that fast on Zwift, Rouvy, or FulGaz.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully implemented. Simply go to the Main Menu > Options > Graphics Settings and you can adjust the various settings there to reduce the battery drain.

  8. I would like to be able to pull a ride from Train or Ride and place it in my group ride. If that exist, Great, ignore me....and tell me how to make this happen. If not...Let's make this a reality!!!

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully implemented. Simply create your own custom event (using the option on the "Options" tab of the main menu) and then you can select to create your own group ride using whatever course you want.

  9. I appreciate the recent update (v0.4.10) aiming to improve Apple TV remote support. However, I’m still experiencing significant issues on my 2nd gen and even in my latest Apple TV 4K:
    • Clicking on the remote doesn’t work as expected, making navigation slow and frustrating.
    • Swiping isn’t smooth, leading to accidental selections.
    • The iPhone Remote app allows movement but doesn’t register clicks.

These issues make it difficult to use TrainingPeaks Virtual efficiently. Could you look into this further?

    Thanks

  10. I want to use TPv but over past two weeks the app is showing much lower power output than my Garmin device used in parallel. Tested v other apps which work fine / accurately. Please will you fix. I use a Watt bike Atom

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this issue has been fixed in the latest release (v0.4.18) that will be coming out later today.

  11. Please let us just see bike workouts synced by TP or others or give the option to do so. I don’t care about swim and run in TPV and it just sometimes let me start a run workout or at a minimum have to look into all first…

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already the case - only workouts marked with a sport type of "bike", "cycling" etc should be synchronised.

If you have seen examples of other workouts that are incorrectly synchronised, please can you raise a new suggestion and attach the specific workout to it and we can investigate in more detail.

  12. TP chose a workout with a target heart rate of 125bpm - during the workout TP virtual decides if you turn left or right at certain places (I know you can choose) TP chose to take me up a mountain rather than through a valley - why would it do that when it has set a target of 125bpm? There was a lot of messing about with gear ranges ... to try and compensate. On the subject of changing settings, for example gear plus or gear minus on the icons - it is really jumpy with apple tv remote -…

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. When doing a workout, you can select whichever route you want - so if you want a flat route, then you can just select to ride a flat route and it will keep you on flat roads throughout. Equally, TrainingPeaks Virtual fully supports ERG mode for heart rate based workouts - just select that, and it will automatically change the resistance you feel to keep your heart rate at the right level for your workout, so you don't need to worry about the terrain at all.

[Also, your point about the AppleTV controller is noted - there's already another UserVoice suggestion that covers this, and we are tracking this issue under that.]

  13. The map gets blurry with the motion blur turned on- that should not get blurred in my opinion

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.17) completely reworks the mini-map and also fixes the issue with motion blur that you mention.

Simply click on the minimap itself (or use the options in the UI Settings menu) to change the level of zoom and/or whether it is locked to north / rotates with you, to suit your own preferences.

  14. After power cut, the activity does not continue where it got left off, instead starts from beginning. As a result, the activity is shown as incomplete

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that TrainingPeaks Virtual already fully supports quickly getting back to the right place in your workout after disruption. Simply re-start your workout and then use the hotkey TAB (or the menu buttons in the pop up action bar at the bottom of the screen) to fast-forward through the previously completed intervals to get to the right place in just a few clicks.

Also, the hotkey SHIFT+TAB will take you backwards through the workout should you wish to do a section again!

  15. I cruise along at an average 39km/h on the flatter coastal routes, while in the real world I would manage 28 to 32 km/h

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

TrainingPeaks Virtual uses a real-world physics model for all it's dynamics and so the speed you go in the app should be identical to the speed you go outside, if all of the data going into the model is the same. This has been extensively tested by 3rd party tests and found to be very accurate.

Potential reasons why there may be a difference to what you are expecting though include: A difference in Crr (perhaps the roads in TPV are smoother than the ones you ride on normally), a difference in CdA (perhaps the bikes, or your riding position, in TPV are more aerodynamic that how you ride normally) or of course wind and/or drafting (perhaps you were in a tail wind and/or in a strong draft behind other riders).

  16. When starting TPV, I find the updates take a VERY long time to download and install. In particular, the download runs at only 1-5 MBPS, even while connected to ethernet on a gigabit connection (measured at 250-300 MBPS on Speedtest at the same time as the download is happening). My Chrome browser is also slowed dramatically when TPV is updating, to the point where nothing loads. A setting on my system or a TPV issue - I don't know. If it's an issue you can fix, please do!

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

The updater is designed to download multiple files in parallel - the amount of parallelization is determined by the available resources on your computer. On a typical desktop with a Gigabit connection, downloads normally complete in 30 seconds or less.

If it is taking significantly longer than this, then TPV is probably not being permitted by your computer to run the download in parallel. That could be a permissions issue, or some other such restriction on your device.

  17. Hello,

As TPV won't be free anymore, it will still benefit from the publicity it can receive from "non-riding" partners that are willing to organize and/or stream big events.

Any incentive to attract/maintain active teams are welcome (active = many riders and/or dragging a lot of riders in the events that they organize).

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that the intention is to enable any non-riders (event organisers, broadcasters, spectators etc) to continue to use TrainingPeaks Virtual for free.

After April 2nd only those wanting to actually ride will need to have TrainingPeaks Premium membership.

  18. It would be great to switch from riding in the virtual world to focused mode once you have started a workout. Right now I can only seem to go into focused mode before starting a workout

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully implemented. From the in-world menu, simply select Options > UI Settings > Left and then set the workout mode to focus / virtual as you wish and it should immediately toggle between the two.

  19. Currently at the end of a race you do not get a race summary and results until the last rider has finished. This is a bit anti-climatic and means you need to go to the hub or wait it out to analyse your event.

It would be good if the provisional results appeared immediately, and updated dynamically as riders finish (e.g. to update points in a points race).

Stretch goal that I think is mentioned elsewhere... podium presentation. Could start as a static image but longer term be an animation.

Many thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. The most likely explanation for you not being able to see this is that the feature (which is on by default) has been accidentally turned off. If you go to Main Menu > Options > UI Settings > Left then you can configure to show the event results there.

  20. Much as I generally like bots, they have a habit of deciding to keep me company during my workouts, sitting right in front of me or alongside. Really off putting and a bit creepy at times. Can we have an option at least to exclude them during workouts please? If someone did this in real life out on the road whilst I am turning myself inside out they would get a piece of my mind 🤣 Thank you.

I'm delighted to say that this is fully supported already. Simply use the "Zen Mode" option (available from the Main Menu > Options > UI Settings menu) and you'll be able to ride alone in peace without being disturbed by any other riders.
