TPV version for Macbook with Apple Silicon
The Mac version we can use on Apple Silicon is an iPad version. This is not functioning as expected on the new MacBook/Mini—issues with full-screen mode, screen entering sleep mode, etc.
Is it possible to develop a TPV for Apple computers?1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that there is already an Apple Silicon version for Macs - simply go to https://trainingpeaks.com/virtual and download it from there!

Steering error at ice mountain cathedral turn
The split in the road coming from the bridge to Ice Mountain is reversed. If I am doing a loop that goes to the right towards the cathedral, the arrow will point left.
If I don't do anything, then I will go to the left. If I push the right turn arrow, then the bike will go to the left

I'm delighted to say that the latest version (v0.4.24) that has been released today fixes this bug and the direction indicators should now be correct.

Folders for custom workouts
TP Virtual, windows operating system only allows a dump of .zwo files.
Would be good to create folders within the TPVirtual Custom Workouts folder to sepearte types of workouts ( i see the intensity filter however doesnt alway sort well).

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. Simply create subfolders underneath the main Workouts folder, and your workouts will be shown in the main TPV application under each of those folders.

Units keeps reverting back to Imperial when I exit and then restart TraingPeaks Virtual
In the last week or so, the distance units keeps reverting to Imperial every time TPV is restarted.
I was using Metric since the start but not it appears that the units change to Imperial every time I restart TPV.1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The most likely explanation for this is that you have set TrainingPeaks Virtual to automatically synchronize settings with TrainingPeaks, and TrainingPeaks is set to use Imperial Units (and therefore when you start up TrainingPeaks Virtual, it updates that setting to Imperial).
You can change the synchronization options from the Main Menu > Profile > Rider Profile menu, or of course update your account settings in TrainingPeaks to use Metric units.

Quick Look back option
In race mode there is a Quick Look-back option. I believe it is tapping down arrow.
In free ride, this is mapped as a U-turn if held for 5 seconds.
Can the look-behind also therefore be implemented in free ride mode when it’s tapped ?Therefore, tap is glance back, hold for 5s is U turn

I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. Simply hold down *any* camera angle hotkey (0-9) and it will operate as a quick look to that angle, and then return to whatever camera angle you were originally using after a few seconds.

Is it possible to integrate Humango into trainingpeaks?
Since a few month I use Humango as coach. It is however not possible to see my planned training sessions in TP, and therefore also impossible to ride the planned training in TP virtual. Would be great if this could be fixed.
0 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that integration with Humango is already fully supported. Simply select Humango as a connected account (from the Main Menu > Profile > Connected Accounts > Humango), and workouts will automatically synchronise to TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Game crashes 0-5 minutes into a workout
I haven't been able to complete a workout with the virtual display at all this week. It is infuriating and I am want a refund at this point. I ride virtually to squeeze in rides with a busy schedule and I have to keep rebooting the game every few minutes.

Bug Report: Freezing while running workout
I'm currently having another problem with the screen freezing while I'm doing a workout I've created myself. The log file shows me warning messages that I don't understand: “Potential packet loss detected”, “Slow updates” and “Queue sizes”. Can someone please help me and explain what I should change in my settings.

bug report
I have had a horrible experience with Train Peaks' virtual. It crashed at least 9 times during my workout. It seems to be server-related, as several users had the same problem. I have attached the log files. Hopefully, you can resolve the issue Zwiftly.

Do not update every ******* week
every time I start the app I have to wait 5 min to app to start.. That is insane

Heart rate erg needs some changes
Heart rate erg needs to be gradual when you start an interval. Also, if HR device fails, a notification should show and watts should not continue to go up.
2 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.24) which is out today significantly improves the way HR based workouts are handled, including not changing the power target if your heart rate monitor drops out as you recommended.

Stop all updates being mandatory updates
I've used Training Peaks Virtual regularly for a few months now its great. One thing that bugs me is that on iPad OS, each week the update is a mandatory update. While its great that the updates are so frequent, when they don't update automatically its a pain to spend a few minutes loading, then being told you need to go to the App Store to update and then the App Store may not even realise there is a new update.
I've seen in another suggestion that its mandatory in events for everyone to be on the latest version, which…

[BUG] TPV v0.4.19 breaks support for self-closing XML tags
In TPV v0.4.19 this was released:
- Improved handling of badly formatted workout files.
Which went a bit too far with the improvement and broke also properly formatted XML files with self-closing tags.
The XML Parser should allow those, instead we get this now:
The 'workout_file' start tag on line 2 position 2 does not match the end tag of 'tags'. Line 9, position 3.
Now the issue is that all the ZWO files I have, have that tags/ there, so nothing works until I fix it manually.
This used to be working before v0.4.19.
Please fix?
Thanks

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.23) out today should fix this issue (and more generally improves compatibility with even more workout files).

ERG Interval Slope Rate
ERG slope rate coming into and out of intervals is too slow. During a 60 second/30 second over under workout the "release" from 250W/60 second over interval takes up 21 of the 30 second "under" interval rendering the under interval recovery useless. The ERG "lockup" from the 120W/30 second under then takes 18 seconds to arrive at 250W making the over interval only 42 seconds long before the dreaded 21 second "release". This is a new Bug that started after the week of 3/29/25

Virtual Gears Latency
Today, for the first time, I experienced serious latency with virtual gears - like 2.5 minutes before I felt the resistance increase or decrease. I tested this several times in my ride going from gear 2 to 8 and back to 2 then waiting for the resistance to change.
I'm using a Samsung Android tablet to run TPV. I thought it may be latency to the Kickr Core (latest firmware) power changes in the pedals reflected immediately. Gradient changes affected the trainer instantly too.
I've also noticed, since last week that, when using a structured workout, time for resistance to…

TPV not fluent on Chromebook
TPV is available on Chromebook, but doesnt't run fluent. During the ride it freeze for couple of seconds and than run, or other athletes disappear and than are back again
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This may be an issue with the hardware capabilities of your Chromebook, without knowing more about it's CPU / RAM etc, it's hard to diagnose further. Please feel free to reach out directly to Customer Support (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who may be able to help you explore the various in-app settings to improve the performance for you.
All that said, I'm pleased to say that the latest release of TrainingPeaks Virtual contains a significant number of fixes that should hopefully improve performance as well, so the combination of optimising your settings and the new release should hopefully make things better for you!

Just here to say I am pleasantly suprised!
I've been using Zwift but I am a pretty basic user. I mostly use structured workouts my coach builds. I had very modest expectations for TPV but it was a seamless transition and for whatever reason my trainer and HR monitor pair way faster in TPV! Very pleased!
