Be able to "call" a different pacebot from the world, so that I can seamlessly move from Roxy to Aaron for instance
Because I often want to dig deeper mid-ride. Dropping the bot works, but I miss the draft!

I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply select the "Join" option (hotkey J for Join) from the action menu at the bottom of the screen and you can immediately teleport to any pacer you want at any time.

Add Import button to TPVirtual Workouts
In TPVirtual it is more complex than necessary to import a shared workout, on a phone or iPad in particular where a file has to be placed in a specific location and the App restarted and User re-login before the workout appears.
An "import" button that would allow you to choose a file (.ERG, .MRC or .ZWO) instead would be a big help.4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply drag-and-drop the workout into TrainingPeaks and the workout will seamlessly be available to use in TrainingPeaks Virtual. Specifically, you don't need to use your device filesystem at all - everything can be done via the TrainingPeaks web interface or app.

Error in Recorded Data when Completing Training Session on TP Virtual
For the past 2-3 weeks, when I complete my cycling training session on TP Virtual I get an error in the recorded data. When I complete a circa 1hour session and upload/save session, it then only saves and uploads circa 23-27 minutes of the session and the corresponding metrics e.g. TSS, are posted lower than completed. Can you please investigate as it is having an adverse effect on my training tracking and planning metrics.

The most likely reason for the behaviour you are seeing is that TrainingPeaks has entered offline mode. As a result, the FIT file on the server won't know about any efforts being done, which is why the data is missing from it.
However to handle exactly this scenario, TrainingPeaks Virtual also deliberately saves off a local copy of your FIT file that is generated purely on your device, and will therefore contain everything. You can find it in your saved data folder (e.g. on Windows in \MyDocuments\TPVirtual\<YourUserID>), and then manually upload it from there.

Ability to rewind or fast forward a workout
Super helpful if your workout gets interrupted and you have to exit the workout but you want to restart it from where you left off.

I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply use the forward / back buttons from the action menu at the bottom of the screen (or use hotkeys TAB / SHIFT+TAB) and you'll be able to skip forwards or backwards through your workout instantly. This means you can immediately move to the right point in your workout whenever you want, just as you suggest.

Events : default options (bots, wind, rubber banding, etc) to last setup
Using TPV almost exclusively for riding my own custom routes (via gpx files) I find that I am repeatedly entering the same information in the following fields during event creation. If these can be defaulted to the last set up entered it would make things much smoother. (I expect there are further fields that can be defaulted to last setup)
- Default Rubberband Strength
- Access Code
- Bots Ensure Full Pen
- Pen Size
- WindFinally,
- does Event Description really need to be mandatory. Can it not just be set to be the same as Event Name…1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This can already be done simply by copying a previous event. From the Profile > Organise Events > Review Completed menu, just select a previous event, copy it, then edit the date and route and everything else will default to the previous values, exactly as you suggest.

"TP doesn't accept virtual shifting information from QZ app" for Group Rides
Please let "TPV accept virtual shifting information from QZ app" for group rides. It keeps knocking me out as unidentified controller. My Wahoo Kickr V5 does not accept virtual shifting itself, but the QZ app will act as an interface for it. Otherwise, it works just fine in TPV.
2 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The Performance Verification message you are seeing is only shown if the organiser of the event decides to enforce Performance Verification checks. Whilst it's unusual for a group ride to require Performance Verification, it's what the organiser must have requested when they set the event up.
It is worth noting however that TPV fully supports virtual gearing without the use of third party apps. Simply download the TrainingPeaks Hub App from the Google Play Store / Apple App Store and you can connect to TrainingPeaks Virtual and control virtual gearing (and lots of other things!) that way instead without it triggering any Performance Verification issues.

Allow for less smoothing on My Routes
Although I appreciate the "automatic smoothing" applied to GPX-based routes I build, I find that the smoothing takes out many of the smaller, sharper climbs that are common in southern Indiana where I live. In some cases, two smaller, sharper climbs have been combined into one longer, shallower climb. If there were a choice of smoothing given, I would choose for a little less, because I like training on the actual terrain. (My past experience is with RGT.)
Thanks for adding My Routes--it's why I'm adding TPV!

I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented - when you upload a route to TrainingPeaks, there is now an option to not apply the automatic smoothing.

Broadcast to local HTTP server
Currently, TPV allows to post json data to an HTTPS endoint but if I want to post to a local server and use HTTP, it always gives an error (red x).
I've noticed that if I post to https://some_local_ip and click test, after a few seconds it returns an error. Then, if I change to http://some_local_ip it immediately starts posting requests. This works until I close TPV. When I reopen the app, I need to repeat the process (HTTPS, test, wait for error, change to HTTP).
Can the code be reviewed/changed to always allow posting to local HTTP endpoints?

I'm delighted to say that the braking data % is now available in the JSON output, exactly as you suggest.
The limitation of HTTPS only (not HTTP) is a security feature of the underlying Unity engine that TrainingPeaks Virtual is built on. It is unlikely that we'd therefore be able to enable HTTP endpoints.

Synchronize FTP from workout source
I'm using Humango to get training plans and it syncs the bike workout to TP so they are shown in TPV and I can follow them.
That's great but the estimated FTP in TPV is much lower in TPV than what Humango estimates so the workouts are way too easy. I can adjust the difficulty in TPV but having to do that every time gets annoying. I have to try to match the target power for one of the interval but I don't always remember what it's supposed to be or sometime I only realize 10 or 20 minutes into…1 voteMany thanks for your message, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
You can adjust your FTP in TrainingPeaks Virtual by simply going to Profile > My Profile.

Restart and save group workouts
When joining a scheduled group workout there was no way to restart the workout - I could only join at the current interval. An ability to late join and restart would be great so I can still do the session as part of a group, if only at a different stage of the workout.
Equally, there's no way to store the workout in my own library so that I can re-do the workout at a later date.
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
A group workout with a given workout set by the organiser is - by definition - one where everyone stays in lock-step with each other, so the current behaviour for that mode is as expected.
However, an event organiser can also choose to let riders do their own workouts during an event, including joining late, pausing, skipping forward / back etc etc.
This is a choice that can be made by the organiser of the event as to what kind of event they want to run.

Crash
I have been unable to use the app on my PC for several weeks now. I try to boot up the game, it initializes, says it is downloading the latest version then immediately exits, flashing the attached error box very quickly but does not say anything else. I've tried uninstalling and installing several times, running as admin, booting from the file instead of the shortcut but nothing works.

make it work
TP Virtual will not load.
It does the latest updates thing and then flashes a small popup with a status bar and then dies.

TPVirtual UI Doesn't Match Actual ERG / Output Wattage
Towards the end of a custom workout this morning, the reported watts in the UI went off the rails, no longer matching what was actually happening at the trainer.
The recovery target was 95W, and TPV in ERG mode never deviated from that, and you can see that in the FIT file. To clear, TPV perfectly executed the workout; the issue is/was only that the UI was reporting wacky wattage.
Specifically, the UI was showing that I was outputting significantly more power than I actually was, even while CORRECTLY prompting me to INCREASE effort.
I'm trying to attach the fit…
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this issue, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
It strongly appears like this is the result of a fault with the trainer - the fact that the data is exactly half of what it should be, and suddenly changes to that, is extremely suspicious of some kind of mechanical fault.
We would strongly recommend following up with the manufacturer to see if they have any suggestions as to what might have happened here.
