Fix the UI
Hi there,
Today while I was riding, I accidentally hit "G" on by keyboard, and the user interface disappeared. I tried bringing it back by hitting "G" again, by going into the user options and checking/unchecking/checking the appropriate box, exiting the program and restarting, all with no luck.
I appreciate any help you can offer.
Best,
Sam Thomas

As another commenter has noted, it is likely that you just turned off the entire HUD by accidentally pressing the "H" (for HUD) hotkey. You can toggle that back on again pressing it again, or by selecting the option in the UI configuration menu.

I'm delighted to say that the entire HUD has been reworked in the latest release (v0.4.36), which also resolves this issue with placement of units.

Don't flood the Netherlands
When creating a route from a GPX file in the Netherlands (bike course from challenge Almere), most of the route the road was surounded by water.
I know we have a lot of water in the Netherlands, but not this much :)
It would be great if the surroundings were more like the actual situation.
(Love the feature, but this much water made the route very boring)

I'm delighted to say that this has been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.36), and sea level is now respected in all GPXplore routes.

Put back the gradual ramp for warm ups and cooldowns
Before the update V0.4.34 TrainingPeaks Virtual handles warm-up intervals as gradual ramp instead of a fixed wattage. This meant that during warm-ups, the wattage started lower and increase over the duration rather than staying within a constant range.
As an older athlete (68+ female) I found this gradual warm-up led to a better session rather than pushing the muscles ahead of the tough blocks.
Could this be made available again perhaps as an option?

I'm delighted to say that this has been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.36), and ramps are now working as expected on all platforms.
Note also that you can dynamically add workout blocks at any time simply by pausing the scheduled workout and using the Cruise Control feature to set a target power wattage - this works a bit like a fully configurable ERG mode when free-riding too.

Change erg mode set point during workout
Let's say a workout assigns a block of 180 W, but you want to do 200 W in erg mode. There should be a way to change the setpoint (maybe compatible with trainer buttons) or apply an offset to each block before the workout. For example, click and drag the block up and down.

I'm delighted to say that you can already do this - simply use the -/+ hotkeys (or the -/+ action buttons from the actions menu at the bottom of the screen), and you can adjust the workout difficulty whenever you want.

Bug Report: Text Events not showing properly
Text events from imported workouts (via TP) show the underlying message not the individual messages at the specific time.
Testing was done with the TPV workout "Aerobic Ride(30 mins)".
I created a group workout and joined it solo.Imported from TP the text event looks like this in the log:
[9/3/2026 14:51:01.761] Received UI main message: !TextEvents:{
10:Welcome to Aerobic Ride;
20:This classic workout is perfect to recruit slow-twitch endurance muscle fibres.;
30:Alternating 5 minute blocks of
Zone 2 and Zone 3 throughout.;
60:For now, focus on warming up, and getting your legs spinning.;
150:Half way through the warmup.;

Make imported gpx files available for all rides, not just events
It's great that I can import gpx files from my outdoor rides into TPV, but I would get far more use from them if they were not confined to use in Events. I hope TPV will soon make them available for both free rides and for workouts. See DC Rainmaker's recent review.

I'm delighted to say that this has been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.36), and is now available on all platforms.
From the routes menu, you can now just select any GPXplore route and go free-ride it without needing to set up an event. You can also select a GPXplore route when picking a workout and it all just seamlessly works.

BUG: Warmup and cooldowns not loading as ramps
Previously, warmups and cooldowns built with a power range loaded in TPV as a gradated ramp from low to high (or high to low for a cooldown), but now they just load as a constant power target.

Les parcours World routes et My routes accessibles en mode Routes/Free ride
Rajouter, dans le menu déroulant du mode Routes/Free ride, les parcours World routes et My Routes.

New feature: Race against own Ghost
A cool feature could be if one could race against own ghost on e.g. previously completed routes. Earlier in other simulators I have been enjoying this feature. E.g. Bkool. It gives great motivation trying to beat yourself. It is a good alternative to events, if I want to start training right away without waiting for an event to start.
6 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is already implemented in Time Trial events. Simply set up an event and you'll then be able to race against your top 3 fastest previous best rides on that route (with the ghosts in gold, silver, bronze colours to make them easy to track).
In TrainingPeaks Virtual, these ghosts will exactly replicate your entire Time Trial race - not just your fastest lap. So for example, if you did a 4 lap race it's likely that your lap times are going to be slower than a 1 lap race, and racing your ghosts over 4 laps therefore provides you with a better target than racing it over just your fastest ever single lap.

20-25 mile flat course
Is there a way to create a flat course for the days you need an easy recovery ride without the ERG mode or riding in circles in the Velodrome
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that there are many ways you can do this. As other commenters have noted, there's already the coastal loop (and several variations of it) that provides a variety of long flat routes. In addition, you can now upload any GPX file you want and just ride that - so you have the ability to ride any route, anywhere in the world (either real, or imagined), so you can have something as long, and as flat as you like!

Be able to "call" a different pacebot from the world, so that I can seamlessly move from Roxy to Aaron for instance
Because I often want to dig deeper mid-ride. Dropping the bot works, but I miss the draft!

I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply select the "Join" option (hotkey J for Join) from the action menu at the bottom of the screen and you can immediately teleport to any pacer you want at any time.

Add Import button to TPVirtual Workouts
In TPVirtual it is more complex than necessary to import a shared workout, on a phone or iPad in particular where a file has to be placed in a specific location and the App restarted and User re-login before the workout appears.
An "import" button that would allow you to choose a file (.ERG, .MRC or .ZWO) instead would be a big help.4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply drag-and-drop the workout into TrainingPeaks and the workout will seamlessly be available to use in TrainingPeaks Virtual. Specifically, you don't need to use your device filesystem at all - everything can be done via the TrainingPeaks web interface or app.

Error in Recorded Data when Completing Training Session on TP Virtual
For the past 2-3 weeks, when I complete my cycling training session on TP Virtual I get an error in the recorded data. When I complete a circa 1hour session and upload/save session, it then only saves and uploads circa 23-27 minutes of the session and the corresponding metrics e.g. TSS, are posted lower than completed. Can you please investigate as it is having an adverse effect on my training tracking and planning metrics.
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The most likely reason for the behaviour you are seeing is that TrainingPeaks has entered offline mode. As a result, the FIT file on the server won't know about any efforts being done, which is why the data is missing from it.
However to handle exactly this scenario, TrainingPeaks Virtual also deliberately saves off a local copy of your FIT file that is generated purely on your device, and will therefore contain everything. You can find it in your saved data folder (e.g. on Windows in \MyDocuments\TPVirtual\<YourUserID>), and then manually upload it from there.

Ability to rewind or fast forward a workout
Super helpful if your workout gets interrupted and you have to exit the workout but you want to restart it from where you left off.

I'm delighted to say that you can do this already. Simply use the forward / back buttons from the action menu at the bottom of the screen (or use hotkeys TAB / SHIFT+TAB) and you'll be able to skip forwards or backwards through your workout instantly. This means you can immediately move to the right point in your workout whenever you want, just as you suggest.

Garmin workouts on platform
Being able to have Garmin workouts being loaded for rides onto the TPV. This would allow for training plans from the likes of TrainerRoad to be used which currently only work on Z.

Events : default options (bots, wind, rubber banding, etc) to last setup
Using TPV almost exclusively for riding my own custom routes (via gpx files) I find that I am repeatedly entering the same information in the following fields during event creation. If these can be defaulted to the last set up entered it would make things much smoother. (I expect there are further fields that can be defaulted to last setup)
- Default Rubberband Strength
- Access Code
- Bots Ensure Full Pen
- Pen Size
- WindFinally,
- does Event Description really need to be mandatory. Can it not just be set to be the same as Event Name…1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This can already be done simply by copying a previous event. From the Profile > Organise Events > Review Completed menu, just select a previous event, copy it, then edit the date and route and everything else will default to the previous values, exactly as you suggest.
