Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.14) out today fully supports HR based workouts. Simply create a workout in TrainingPeaks online using your heartrate to set the intensity of each interval and then it will automatically synchronise across to TrainingPeaks Virtual where you can then ride it.
Further, TrainingPeaks Virtual now also fully supports ERG mode for HR workouts, which means that it will automatically adjust the resistance of your trainer for you to compensate for fatigue / cardiac drift and ensure that your heartrate remains at the right level for your workout.
This is perfect for long, low intensity, recovery or endurance rides to ensure that you don't over-do it and get the maximum intended benefit from your ride.

Allow HR based workouts to be seamlessly integrated into TPV, so that you can access them through scheduled workouts.

Zwift does (or at least did) suffer from this problem as well. Interestingly, structured workouts based on RPE do show up in TPV, where each block shows as a free ride, and TPV provides periodic annunciations of the target RPE. Considering this is supported, I found it odd that HR-based workouts are not. At minimum, replicating the RPE functionality would be nice. It would be even better if HR targets can be visualized in the same way as power. Fine for TPV to still treat it as "free ride" and let the user regulate HR themselves.

RPE is subjective but it would be good if this can be indicated instead of dictated
in TPV?
HR would be good to be indicated and somewhat guided. -

Interesting and would work for those that want to do longer endurance rides and zone out watching a movie or not have the virtual view as primary focus.

Workouts posed on calendar in TP (using Builder) do not appear in scheduled workouts in TP Virtual. TP is a connected account.

All Workouts scheduled in traininpeaks by coaches to pull through to TrainingPeaks Virtual. Power and heart rate workouts, currently only power scheduled workouts pull through.

I am using structured workouts in TP using heart rate targets. They are not appearing in TPV.

ERG based on heart rate. If heart rate is over training plan lower watts 20 beats wait 40 seconds or so and then re-evaluate.

Silly idea. You see your HR on the screen, so just pedal harder-softer as needed to keep it in desired range.

Using HR to control the power would be great to make it easier to stay within your Zone 2 HR zone on extended Free rides and Workouts.
I have used this mode in another training platform and found it very useful.
HR is set by the user and is changeable by 5 beats up and down with each click of the UP/DN arrows, the platform controls the power to keep you within 2 - 3 beats of target. Initially it would need to ramp up slowly to get you to the target zone.
