Adding a cadence field to track a runner's progress over time
One of the measurements that Garmin Connect tracks and is of particular interest among my running clients is cadence. It would be very helpful if there was a way to input the runner's cadence among the other stats that I import from Garmin, then to be able to view that over time (in graph form, for example). Much like heart rate, I would be interested in min, max and average cadence.
5 votesMin/Max/Avg Cadence are stats that are available for display in the Quick View. Under Settings→Layout→QuickViews choose Run. From there you can customize what stats you would like to see in the Quick View. You can also import data from Gamin using our Garmin Sync Feature. This will automatically import and display cadence.

Add an 'Injury Tab' for tracking dates, symptoms and locations of injuries.
Like many athletes, I form time to time have aches, pains or more substantial injuries I have to deal with.
Once an ache/pain develops I take the necessary time off or adjust my training to ensure recovery and no further damage. However, after weeks/months I often forget if it was the right or left knee, shin, ankle, etc. that was giving me problems.
It would be helpful to have a page in my TP account where I can track the dates, locations and severity of injuries.13 votesYou can currently track Injuries using our Metrics feature. Injury is a track-able metric. There is also a notes field that you can add.
This support page should help.

PMC Planner
Rather than having to enter a schedule on the calendar UI and flip back and forth to the dashboard's PMC to see the results of a specified TSS could slider bars be added on a special PMC Planner UI? The slider bars would allow seeing "real time" effects of TSS on certain future days. The sliders would be available for a week or two going forward, starting from today. Maybe also give ability to input a numeric TSS rather than having to use the slider. I've attached a very rough mock up of this. Please forgive me if there is…

peak power chart
On the peak power chart - if the current ride was not the peak performance, I would like to see the date of when the peak power was recorded as I hover over the line in the graph that gives me the top performance.

Expanded calendar view in new Group View is too expanded
The new Group View is great … except for one key detail. The calendar can viewed in either a compact or "expanded" view (not sure if expanded is the right term here), but the expanded view is way too big and isn't consistent with how workouts are displayed in the single athlete view.
If I want/need to see all the workout description or notes, then I'd prefer to have to click on the workout to open it. As it is now, all of the content for the workout description and notes are shown, making each row for an athlete super…

Add the ability to "show average" for distance/duration charts.
Include a "show average" checkbox in the settings of certain charts similar to the show planned checkbox. When selected, it would show the average applicable to the metric in question and the duration selected.
For instance, on a "run distance by week" chart that shows cumulative running mileage for each week over the past 90 days, this box would embed a single line across the chart to show the weekly average over that 90 day period. It would be a quick reference to compare this week to a longer period without breaking out a calculator.
48 votesThe average line is back! Right now it is a default setting, so the avg-line is always shown. We are working on making that configurable.

Display weekday in PMC pop-up
Please add the weekday to the date listed in the daily details pop-up on the PMC. Other charts plotting daily data show the weekday in their pop-up, and the additional context that the weekday provides is tremendously helpful when skimming through the charts. (see detail in attached screenshot)
15 votesThis was released on June 24, 2015. We plan to use this format for all pop-ups in the future.

Associate and disassociate completed activities with planned workouts
When an activity is completed and uploaded automatically, Training Peaks does a reasonable but imperfect job of lining these up with planned workouts. This does not always work correctly, especially with races, so it would be handy to have and option to associate activities with planned workouts. Conversely it would be useful to be able to separate planned workouts and completed activities so that they can be associated correctly. I think of this akin to reconciliation of receipts to your bank statement. I was thinking along the lines of select an activity and a planned session and then click a…

Visual representation of planned vs. actual workout intensity
I would like to see - on the training calendar - a visual representation of the planned workout intensity so that when I'm planning ramp-up and recovery weeks for my athletes, I can see a "heat map" of the week's intensity (perhaps based on estimated TSS as derived from past workouts?). The only way that I can visually see a "recovery" week today is with a lower workout duration. I would like to plan the same workout duration week-to-week, but vary the intensity. Taking it a step further, it would be interesting to see when an athlete meets or exceeds…

Altitude on cross country skiing
There is no data fro altitude in XC-skiing, which is strange.

Add mile splits to the run workout data.
This seems like an obvious feature. I can see the splits at Garmin Connect but not at TrainingPeaks. As a coach it really inhibits my ability to analyze run data.

TomTom MySport Sync

One click athlete selection
It would speed up the workflow considerably if in Beta when I click on an athlete it automatically loads that athlete rather than having to click on the athlete name and then loads. The next time I click on the athletes name then as it is loaded I could have the pop up box that gives me the options to delete the athlete or edit settings.
13 votesYou can drag and drop an athlete from the list to the calendar. This works for both the single and dual calendars.

Automatic uploads from device
Files should be automatically uploaded from devices like Garmin directly to TrainingPeaks via phone, similar to the way you can automatically upload to Strava via Garmin Connect.

Editable Historic Threshold Values with Date Ranges of validity
TrainingPeaks should have the same feature as WKO+ when it comes to being able to set Threshold values for given periods of time. When uploading an athlete's historic data, I need to be able to put in what their threshold value was at those times - not have TP calculate things like IF and TSS based on the current values. This makes it impossible to do accurate comparisons of previous build cycles in an athlete's career to the current situation. Like WKO+ this should simply be an easy to edit table where you put in start and stop dates for…

Session description or comment: Open URL automatically in new tab (e.g. open dropbox link with photo of workout from whiteboard)
Currently instead uploading attachments I paste a dropbox link with a photo of each swim workout from whiteboard into session comments.
Would be good in Training Peaks (online/browser) if when you opened workout the url would automatically open in new tab when you click link. At the moment I have to open workout, copy the url, open new tab, paste url to see photo.

Yards option in classic, under swimming, but not in the new version
In classic training peaks, on swimming workout, there is an option to change the units to "yards" ... with the new version, there is only meters. can you bring this "yards" option back?
6 votesYou can switch the distance units within the Quick View for all sport types. In the future we plan to introduce sport specific units.

Provide Amazon-style user rating system for training plans
Develop a system to allow users to rate the quality and effectiveness of training plans that they purchase on TP. It may even be possible to contract with Amazon to sell the plans through their system, thereby allowing better accounting and customer feedback.
22 votesA rating system is on our wish list for the Training Plan store. This would help athletes make informed purchases. However, selling plans through a 3rd party is not on our list at this time.
Athlete’s whom recently completed their training plans will now receive an email asking them to rate the plan. As soon as we receive enough ratings to provide meaningful data, you’ll see the results posted on our training plan store!

Incorporate TrainerRoad workout creator tool into TrainingPeaks
I know that a new workout creator tool is going to be developed for the web/desktop platform. But I would like to suggest that TrainingPeaks uses something similar to the TrainerRoad's one. As a coach it's really a lot of work to write PERSONALIZED power workouts based on their current FTP and race specifics. I have developed a Excel spreadsheet that helps but still...
