Smoothing data on Graph

My Garmin is often (read, always) quite erratic with it's current pace. Since the Garmin doesn't offer an option to smooth the data (say, by taking a 5 sec average) could this be added as an option on the graph? Also, what about adding NGP as a line option on the Graph?

    I believe this available in BETA via a slider but would be extremely useful if you could see the number telling you the period over which the smoothing takes place - 5s, 10s, 30s, 60s etc.
