UI/UX: A second camera view would be nice.
I like to ride with the #3 camera view which is kind of like a POV when riding in a bunch. But to check behind I have to change the camera view and then change back.
It would be cool to have the option to have second camera view in a small pain. For racing this would be great because being able to be facing forward but also be able to take quick glance back to see if anyone is coming up would be much more realistic than having to change the camera view with it animations and then change…6 votes -
WORKOUTS: allow workout builder ramps; negative splits & positive fades
Love that the TPv seems to take the Warm up and Cooldown blocks from workout builder and ramp from low to high or high to low respectively.
Can there be a way to add this type of Active interval block that is a ramp up or ramp down from workout builder? This would allow hard start vo2 intervals and even more real-world short anaerobic where power often fades after a peak is hit.

UI/UX: Distance of riders behind is not visible
The distance of riders behind, especially the pace rider, is not visible, but hidden behind the effort/elevation chart on the bottom of the screen, once it reaches a certain distance, probably about 10 meters or so.
It's pretty annoying. Mostly you want to check the distance when you got to the front of the group and make sure you're not too far.5 votes -
UI/UX: hover over hints for what each number represents
in the main screen, I see that below the live data, there are 3 different numbers for Power, HR, and Cadence. I would love to know what each number is. I know it's something to do with averages, maximums, and minimums, but I cannot find documentation on exactly what they are.
5 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Improving the UI is firmly on our to-do list, and using tool-tips is a great suggestion. In the mean-time, the 2 values shown for cadence and heartrate are the average and maximum, and the 3 values shown for power are the average, normalized and maximum values.

MECHANICS: Award route completion for custom distance events
If I do a custom distance that exceeds the distance of the actual route I don’t get a completion tick, despite doing the full route (and more)

PAIRING: Add support for Train.Red SmO2 sensors
Please add support for the Train.Red SmO2 sensors. https://train.red/
This is similar to what has been done for Moxy SmO2 sensors.
Please include saving the SmO2 data to the FIT file and push to TP and Intervals.ICU
Thank you :)5 votes -
PAIRING: humon hex
Add the Humon Hex to the smo2 sensors. I know the Humon Hex is not sold anymore, but probably there are still many users out there owning one. Since the Moxy is already there, the Humon Hex might be easy to implement. Here are some hints at the bluetooth protocol: https://aquarat.co.za/2018/10/16/reverse-engineering-the-humon-hex-muscle-oxygenation-sensors-bluetooth-protocol/

More variables to take into account for speed and cadence sensor. Ex Type of trainer used.

EVENTS: Show speed of groups as well as time gaps
When in a race you can see the groups behind, how many are in it and the time gap. It would be a great addition to see the speed of the group too. I think there is space to add it.
In a race last night I could see the group behind was slowly closing the time gap but had no idea how much faster they were travelling. With that info it could have helped to encourage the group I was in to match the speed to hold them off. Equally it could also encourage groups behind to ride faster…

UI/UX: Access Release Notes and Changelogs from within TPV
Make release notes and changelogs accessable from with TPV. Suggest using the version # block on the login screen. This will make verifying changes and fixes easier and faster during the beta and initial roll-out period.

Display structured workout interval title and notes
When building a structured workout in TrainingPeaks there are fields to put in a title and notes for each interval. These should be displayed on screen in TPV at the start of each interval as coaches use these fields to provide additional context over and above just the power level.

Currently the shadows cast are of only the bike. Could the rider be included?

EVENTS: Show MY latest checkpoint in TT’s
When not in the front of a TT race, if the leader passes the NEXT checkpoint before I do, then I don’t get to see my current checkpoint timing with respect to nearby teams. Quite unfortunate. I don’t care about the leader, unless I’m near the leader

UI/UX: Glitch where Riding Menu won't come up, despite touching screen
I use an ipad and it has happened on many occcasions that the riding menu (to change virtual resistance, skip etc.) won't come up however I touch the screen,
It is so annoying as it essentially means I have to end a workout if I can't get into the right virtual gear.

PAIRING: Support for Wattbike Atom
Is there a way to map the Atom to be able to use the Action Buttons for Junction Direction Selection and Tactical positioning?

MECHANICS: Draft lock mechanism
There should be a button to lock draft, so that regardless of how much power you put out, you cannot move past the rider you are drafting (although of course you can drop back if not putting out enough power).
This would allow for proper lead outs and team time trial formations. Currently these are very difficult, if not impossible, to execute.

UI/UX: Command wheel
Typing in chat on a keyboard is hard work whilst riding. Implement a command wheel with assignable messages or actions to make it much easier using a game controller or other device. This is a classic way of quickly accessing lots of functions in game, examples attached.

WORKOUTS: Heat workout mode
Similar to what has been released for heart rate to control the trainers power, it would awesome to have the same for Heat zones !
As TPv already fully supports CORE devices, it could provide some of the heat training workouts.
Warmup / z3 power until temperature is that adaptation zone and then adjust power based on temperature/hr
