It would be great, so that we could use any FPV videos of bike rides available on YouTube as background video, if the program allowed the metrics graphs and other information on the screen to remain visible while the 3D virtual video is hidden. That way, the information about the workout I'm doing would float over another video I want to watch.

    There is already another simulator that allows this, but I can't remember which one at the moment.

  4. Instead of defining a fixed power sweep for the neutralized starts, it would be great to have something that took the average of the riders FTPs in the pen and then swept the neutral start power as a percentage of the average FTP of the group.

    That would enable each pen to have an appropriate power level neutral start (pen 1 needs is much different than pen 4 needs).

    The neutral start power options could be something like “Easy” “Moderate” “Hard” to allow the race creator some flexibility in terms of the percentage ranged of the average FTP? And/or allow…

  7. when you press END ride and confirm, the TPV apps shows you the 'recap' of the session (and the from-to screen of the metrics), then you need to confirm that and again press END ride to upload it. But the timer is continuing and a few times I didn't go through the whole 'End ride' sequence, finding a workout for 2-3 hours with 0 power in TP

  8. These 3 area important markers of how fit you are. On long Z2 intervals first 2 are essential to watch for, while HR drop makes sense when you enter recovery valley after, say, VO2 max interval, can be a pop up showing 1 min HR drop. I do that in ride by just calculating by heart.

  9. When setting up a group ride, the Field Size, Human Riders Only, Passive / Aggressive Bot fields can be a bit confusing.

    ie, I set up a group ride for today (copied another event) which had Passive bots checked. This time, I didn't want bots, so I unchecked passive bots, thinking if bots were NOT checked, I wouldn't have any on ride. But forgot I also needed to check Human Riders only. I set field size to 15.. and we had a mix of human riders and bots, with a total of 17 riders? so not sure how the field…

I'm using TP Virtual with a custom FTMS device (which works fine with Zwift and Trainerroad) but it seems like TP Virtual is not requesting control and setting the target power as it should when I launch an ERG workout. I don't get any incoming commands on the Control Point char. If I then force a disconnect from my FTMS-device side, so that TP Virtual reconnects when already in the workout it starts by requesting control and then everything works fine.

    Could you check if there's something in the logic when connecting that could cause it to never request control?

  11. I use my power meter pedals (assioma) for primary power source, but wanted to compare it with the trainer power meter values (as described in the link https://help.trainingpeaks.com/hc/en-us/articles/31340616175373-TrainingPeaks-Virtual-FIT-Files-Dual-Recording ).
    While I see different values during my workout on screen, the fit file does show perfect alignment (can't attach example, only screenshot from dualrecording.com).

  12. Coordinate with bike computers to show while we do endurance rides our actual-time decoupling or EF. Lets us know when we have had enough, turn back.
    The apps on the market and Garmin Performance can be off quite a bit when I compare post-ride with EF and decoupling in ride segments with TP

  13. Regarding the Humango integration - the scheduled workout appears - thank you this is great - however, the completed activity does not upload to Humango - I have to do this manually - is this how it should work or a bug?

  15. I used the beta version for the first time yesterday. In the first interval, ERG mode was switched on and off all the time with a message that I am not reaching the target power, even though I was riding at the target watts.
    I switched this setting off but it was still annoying.

  16. When building a structured workout in TrainingPeaks there are fields to put in a title and notes for each interval. These should be displayed on screen in TPV at the start of each interval as coaches use these fields to provide additional context over and above just the power level.

  17. Develop and include an easy to use Maximum Aerobic Power (MAP) Test for TP Premium subscribers to test themselves where intervals are 2min 30sec each and increase 25 watts each time. It should be developed such that users can choose/click “MAP Test”, do the test, including a built-in Warmup/Cooldown interval, and then be presented with their results once the test is completed. TP can then store a history of the MAP Tests or users can download a .pdf file to keep a history of them.

  19. TP Virtual does not detect my ANT+ usb stick if it isn't connected on startup of the software (windows)

    It does work fine if the ANT+ adapter is connected during startup.

    This is a little annoying as you need to restart the software before being able to use ANT+.

  20. When riding with a pace group, it would be very helpful to know where the pace bot is, but making its dot the colour of the pace bot, and on top of the other dots. The particular gains of this idea would be:
    (A) when one group overtakes another, making sure you stay in the group you intend to.
    (B) when you are hoping to catch a group, especially if it is coming the other way, getting advance warning of its arrival so you position yourself and get up to speed.
