  1. Please only show my account when the app has started up. Now I get the option new/existing/indievelo account. After clicking existing account everytime I again have to click my account name. It would really help if only my account is visible and it only costs one click

  2. My laptop is always plugged in while riding, so the battery status display hardly ever changes. Please make it an option to turn this off as it just adds clutter to the UI.

    I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.14) out today now fully implements this suggestion. From the Main Menu > Options > UI Settings you can now select whether to show the battery status indication either "Always", "Only when not full" or "Never" according to your own preferences.

  3. TPV no longer holds the required power in workouts. I have a choice of power meter options - Kickr or power meter on the bike. In structured workouts, the TPV system hits the required power briefly then drops to 50 to 70 Watts. Same result for whichever of the power devices I have paired. I have done multiple re-runs after complete shut down but I can't get the system to properly run power in my structured workouts. System is all working fine on the Zwift platform.

  4. It is very difficult to follow workout (power , cadence, hr target). Text information related to target and actual are put in different places on the central panel.
    Sorry to say that but it is now a total disaster. I use to Trainerroad, The Sufferfest , Wahoo and Zwift and there it was always easy to do this. Right now on Training Peaks Virtual it is not.

    I'm delighted to say that the latest version out today (v0.4.13) adds the option for "Focussed Mode" workouts. Selecting this option removes all the distractions from the screen and enables you to just focus directly on the core numbers that matter when you just need to get a workout done.

  6. Currently if more than one person is trying to connect their smart trainer and HR monitor to TPV there are issues with conflicting connectivity. Turning Bluetooth off on one device after connecting helps the other rider connect, but you need to do this each time you ride, and that is time consuming.

    I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release (v0.4.9) which is out today. This release significantly reworks the pairing process to enable support for a wider range of devices and multi-user environments where there are many different devices all in the same room.

    This should address the vast majority of the pairing issues previously experienced, but if there are any specific devices that TrainingPeaks Virtual still does not recognise, then please feel free to raise a new UserVoice suggestion for that specific device so we can investigate and add support for you.

  7. I use Apple TV for my zwift training. If training peaks virtual was on Apple TV I would move to it.

    I'm pleased to say that TrainingPeaks Virtual is now freely available on Android, iOS (iPad / iPhone) and AppleTV from their respective App Stores.

  8. Synchronize Weight from trainingpeaks to TPVirtual so you don't have to enter it twice.

    The source shouldn't really matter. Should just be from the last entry.

    Automatic sync of data between TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks Virtual (e.g. Name, FTP, TrainingZones, Weight etc) is now available in v0.4.4!

  9. It would be nice to have a page that shows all of the upcoming events for a specific club. This way, athletes can see all of the events for their club at once.

    I'm delighted to say that this has now been implemented in the latest release of TPVirtualHub.com - when viewing your teams' page (you can find them all from https://tpvirtualhub.com/teams), it now lists all upcoming events that are organised by that team.

  11. The ARR (all-rounder rank) list should be displayed publicly so that you can see how you stack up against other riders, and give you incentive to perform and progress. It also encourages you to race in different formats and distances.

    The other good thing about ARR is that it is not sandbaggable, as your ARR is not used to determine which pen you enter in a race (that is the course specific rank which is hidden).

    I'm delighted to say that this is now fully implemented and if you look at profiles online (e.g. at https://tpvirtualhub.com) then you will see the riders All-Rounder Ranking (ARR) as requested.

  12. During a workout, there is a lot of text and items top center of the screen. Which is right where you are looking down the virtual road. To enjoy the environment more consider sliding to left and making smaller. See attached. Garmin Edge series has a nice way of handling workout targets with slider. Small arrow and target range, changes green when in it, red when above or below.

    I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.13) now provides a completely clutter free "Focus Mode" for workouts, where all the non-essential UI are hidden and it's just you, your workout and your data. Enjoy!

  13. Before I commence a structured TP workout would it be possible to free ride as a warm up then go straight into another workout or route, without having to quit the recommence next route?

    I'm delighted to say that this is already fully implemented. When free riding simply click in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and a "Workout" button will appear allowing you to select a workout and ride it immediately without leaving the world. You can do this multiple times in a ride, and so string together multiple workouts exactly as you suggest.

    I'm delighted to say that TrainingPeaks Virtual now fully supports text entry via keyboard using the AppleTV Remote Application on an iPhone or iPad.

  15. In race mode there is a Quick Look-back option. I believe it is tapping down arrow.
    In free ride, this is mapped as a U-turn if held for 5 seconds.
    Can the look-behind also therefore be implemented in free ride mode when it’s tapped ?

    Therefore, tap is glance back, hold for 5s is U turn

    I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported. Simply hold down *any* camera angle hotkey (0-9) and it will operate as a quick look to that angle, and then return to whatever camera angle you were originally using after a few seconds.

  16. I am not using the avatar/world part of TP virtual, but as a replacement for a different trainer app that only did structured workouts.

    TP's layout right now makes it very hard to see the interval graph a the bottom

  17. While training it is helpful to adjust the FTP up or down while riding. This helps adjust intervals as fatigue sets in. It also allow to fine tune power zones to heart rate zones. The idea is to have the ride on a large device and also allow another device to view the ride while it is in progress and make adjustments. If you are using a PC to run TrainingPeaks Virtual, if an adjustment is needed, you need to get off the trainer, make the adjustment, and start riding again.

    You can already change the percentage effort on mobile devices (and all other platforms) by clicking on the action bar at the bottom middle of the screen and then selecting the + or - buttons to increase / decrease difficulty accordingly.


    If you have a keyboard, then you can also use the + / - hotkeys directly.

    I'm delighted to say that the latest version (v0.4.24) that has been released today significantly improves the stability of TrainingPeaks Virtual, including fixing a bug that could cause it to freeze when running on Windows laptops with an integrated graphics chip which causes exactly the symptoms that you describe.

    If you encounter any further issues however, please do let us know by contacting our support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) and we can investigate further.

  18. AppleTV app please
    For me I only have an AppleTV for my training. I’ve tried using it on an iPhone but obviously seeing the screen is tough but also the screen keeps going to sleep and if I miss it I get disconnected.

    This work has now been completed and an AppleTV version of TrainingPeaks Virtual has been released today. It is now available for anyone to download from the AppleTV AppStore.

I have often trained using a non-game type interface in which I can just see the numbers and I've found this very useful. can TPV introduce a feature to replicate this where you can make all of the other riders invisible so i can have the road to myself. Sometimes, particularly when training in z2 (ie most of the winter) it can be a major distraction if another rider overtakes you and you have to resist the urge to chase after them. A button that makes them invisible would be a great help. Many thanks. Jon

    I'm delighted to say that this week's release (v0.4.8) now fully supports 'Zen Mode' where you can train in peace without seeing any other riders or chat.

    Simply select Zen Mode from the Main Menu > UI Options > Zen Mode.
