  1. Just started using virtual gearing and love it but would like to see a + / - option on the remote control screen to avoid bringing up the main menu, moving to the + or - and then hitting enter. I found I can also do it on the screen with a mouse click but that also isn't real convient when going hard and trying to move the mouse around. A simple extra + and - on the remote screen would be ideal since it would be 1 click either way during a hard effort.

    Thanks for your consideration

  2. When using the pause workout the stats that are uploaded to TP and Strava are different. The time it was paused still shows as time for that period and then the power and other stats are rounded down. Can the pause time not be showed in the uploaded ride?

  3. Currently, on iPad, when you extend your screen to another (larger) screen you can only extend rear or side views.
It would be much better if I could extend the main HUD screen to the larger screen and choose the iPad to show one of the less important screen (eg rear view)

  4. It would be great if the template was a cutout where the jersey is supposed to be. That way the user can put some colors and whatever design they want and then simply apply the template over-top of the design so that we don’t need to do any cutting out and such.

The jersey design process is probably not designed for someone like me, I totally understand, but it is very non-trivial and much more difficult to create than I would have assumed going into it

  5. I was quite interested in yesterday's update, specifically this line:

"Added Zen mode for focused training, riding alone in peace."

"This week's release (see below for more details), headlines with more of your ideas, including the new Zen Mode, enabling you to train in peace and focus on your own riding without the distraction of other riders or chat."

But I cannot find any documentation for "Zen Mode" outside of this comment. I have updated my app and searched everywhere for a Zen Mode function, but I don't see it.

When new features are added, instructions should be provided somewhere.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

There's no doubt that the documentation can be improved, and we'll make that happen.

In the meantime, Zen mode can be activated from Main Menu > Options > UI Settings and will turn off the display of other riders (and their chat) allowing you to ride in peace and just focus on your own training!

  6. Add target cadence values for intervals in the left Workout Data panel if they are specified in the workout. This is necessary so that you are prepared for changing cadence in the next interval.

  7. Towards the end of a custom workout this morning, the reported watts in the UI went off the rails, no longer matching what was actually happening at the trainer.

The recovery target was 95W, and TPV in ERG mode never deviated from that, and you can see that in the FIT file. To clear, TPV perfectly executed the workout; the issue is/was only that the UI was reporting wacky wattage.

Specifically, the UI was showing that I was outputting significantly more power than I actually was, even while CORRECTLY prompting me to INCREASE effort.

I'm trying to attach the fit…

  8. Concept :
The Session Race would be a points-based cycling race designed to encourage rider regrouping and tactical variety. After each key segment or "arch," a pacer bot is deployed—set to a fixed wattage and distance—once the first rider passes. This intentional pacing slows down the lead group and allows trailing riders to catch up, making the race more inclusive and strategic.

    Example on a varied circuit:

    Neutral zone: 1 km

Arch 1 (1.5 km sprint on false flat): Pacer bot at 200W for 3 km

    Arch 2 (800 m uphill): Pacer bot at 150W for 2 km

    Arch 3…

  10. I am using an iPhone12 with latest iOS. When I try to login to TPV I can enter my user name but when I tap the password link I get a flashing icon for faceid and if it finally accepts then I get another password link that takes me to the flashing icon for faceid and the cycle will go on endlessly. Occasionally it will link through to my passwords and allow me to paste in my TPV password. Also the remember me option does not seem to be working. Quitting the app and rebooting the phone seems to have…

  11. If the connection gets lost during the workout the result is an incomplete upload in Training Peaks main app. Nonetheless the whole workout file is recorded on my device as a fit file.
The solution is to manualy delete the uploaded workout and reupload the file from the datafolder on you system.

can you please automate this behaviour???

  12. Can the target power be larger as its hard to see on small devices.

Also the bar at top of the screen that appears to move at will.... can that instead sit central based on target power and move to the left or right if you drift above or below the target power. Similar to the dial on zwift companion.

  13. It is likely I completely missed something but if so it is likely something that many of the (hopefully) new users will have an issue with if they aren't familiar with TP / TPV and are moving over from another platform.

I am new to Training Peaks and Virtual but have experience on "The Sufferfest". Today I did the Critical Power Test. When I went to look at the zones, the values therein had nothing to do with my test results. I am learning that there are many ways to calculate the zones and this needs to be done by…

  14. When I enter a climb, I see mostly tarmac. Bike is always horizontal to the road surface, not to the perfect zero incline level. The same applies to decent - I see almost no road, it’s way too low. I’d recommend to always have a horizon level at smth like 30% from the screen bottom, that’s how photographers work.

  15. While planned workouts download to both TPV and Garmin Edge computers, they do not sync, so that you have to use one or the other. While you can try to start both at the same time, it isn’t exact, and if you stop or pause, the two get completely out of sync, with different targets at different times. Additionally, because TPV dashboard stats are hard to see on an iPad while riding, I can see them much better on my Garmin head, and additionally my Garmin displays wattage targets as ranges, the cycling computer is by far the better option…

  16. On Zwift (maybe Z Power), if I remember correctly, there was a list of riders that we’ve raced against repeatedly with a counter for how many times they’ve beaten us and via versa.

Would be fun on TPvirtualHub to have something similar! I’d like to see how many times I’ve beaten some common riders 🙌🏻
