HUB: Public ARR rankings
There way a previous request but I think it was misunderstood.
Can we have a filterable public ladder of ARR ranks. This gives some incentive for competitive to move up the ladder and participant in different types of event.
It should be filterable, e.g. by country, age group, gender etc.

The mobile app for iOS, when you enter a chat message it sends 2 messages in the game (duplicates). Seems a bug?

EVENTS: Notify team members of new event
When the team manager creates a new event that gets posted to the team page on the Virtual Hub, it would be great if team members could get notified of the new event.

WORLD: Avatars - User height information used for rendering taller or smaller rider
Could you implement different sized riders by using the user height data? This could potentially also require size selection for the bikes as well. I mean why should 160cm user look same sized as 210cm user in TPV?
I assume the user height and weight data is already used in calculating the resistance when riding uphill (how about downhill?) but do you also consider the height for the increased body surface area to have an increased wind resistance? Or when pacing a taller rider one could have more/better draft?
18 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
To confirm, the TrainingPeaks Virtual physics engine already takes into account the height and weight of riders, so - to use your example - you will already experience a higher drafting effect when sitting behind a larger rider.
All that is currently missing is the graphical representation of that.

TP SYNC: Utilise real life data in TP to improve TP Virtual Power performance knowledge.
Many people have poor virtual power data particularly after the summer of riding outside. Using the real life data for the critical power and performance verification in TP Virtual would give better information. Whilst there is often some difference in the power from outside to virtual data this would be discernible within the data that TP holds.

UI/UX: Data fields for last lap / previous laps
It is not practical to use ERG mode for the majority of HIIT workouts. When riding outdoors, I am typically checking the power (and HR, cadence) of the last interval during the recovery interval, so I have ample time to decide if I am still reaching my target values. It would be nice to have a similar feature (last lap data fields) as well as a lap history available.

UI/UX: Current Lap metrics when pressing "L"
Currently we can hit L to make a lap (not a course lap) but other than putting a marker in the fit file its not much use.
I'd like to see lap metrics as data fields for the HUD to go with it like, LAP avg power, LAP NP, Lap avg HR, LAP avg Cadence, Lap time. Like you would on a bike head unit.
Useful for pacing climbs, adhoc intervals etc.

EVENTS: Finish line animations, replay and podium
The finish line in all virtual racing sims is dull - there is no celebration, no podium, no photo finish or specific finish line camera. All of these things could make finishes much more exciting and viewable.
Finish line celebration animations could be unlockable.

UI/UX: W-prime "Battery" Gauge
W prime meter in the GUI.
Just thinking out loud, any time spent above my CP (Watts x Time =Joules) that could be subtracted from my W-prime (KJ or Joules), and be shown like a battery percentage of how much W-prime I have left.
This would be great for learning how to manage your efforts. I image this would be similar to a Normalized Power when using FTP. BUt I would find a "battery percentage" of W-prime more accurate of what I could do in a race and easier to understand.

UI/UX: buttons "menù" and "workout" that appear in the bottom letf corner of the display
Hi
I train TPVirtual with iPad 13" PRO (iOS 18.1), GAME RELEASE 0.4.2 (latest).
When application starts everything sounds good.
It works perfectly.But...
if you touch the display for any reason (just to give ride-on, change the view, give a look to the menù...) the risk (randomic events) is that the "menu and workout" commands appear in the bottom corner (on the left).
After 5" all the rest of the buttoms disappear (I mean the buttoms such "left... right... pause... view.. erg... kudos... intensity"... and so on) but the "menù" and "workout".They remain visible in a "ON position"…

EVENTS: Post event experience
At the end of an event, participants should enter a coffee shop / clubhouse etc where the results are displayed, there is a podium, you can view the results, and importantly can discuss the race with others that took part - give chapeaus, etc. Avatars could be on turbo trainers so that you can also cool down.
It's a bit of a damp squib when an event finishes and everyone just rides off.

EXTERNAL: Host TrainingPeaks Virtual dedicated forum
There is a TrainingPeaks Virtual Discord server - which was working great for couple of years, however Discord now wants the user's phone number in order to allow posting. I believe this is a security issue - I should not be forced to provide my phone number to unrelated 3rd party in order to discuss TrainingPeaks product.
It would be much better for TrainingPeaks to host a dedicated web forum (ex. using Discourse like many other similar products do).6 votes -
FITFILES: Upload local FIT file if connection to server is lost mid-ride
If the connection gets lost during the workout the result is an incomplete upload in Training Peaks main app. Nonetheless the whole workout file is recorded on my device as a fit file.
The solution is to manualy delete the uploaded workout and reupload the file from the datafolder on you system.can you please automate this behaviour???

FITFILES: Embed activity title in saved FIT files
In the meantime until the Garmin Connect integration is released, I've been using a self-written tool (https://github.com/jat255/fit_file_uploader) to automatically process the FIT files produced by TPVirtual and upload them to my Garmin Connect account using some third-party library tools.
One limitation (see https://github.com/jat255/fit_file_uploader/pull/13#issuecomment-2573526582) is that there's no way to access the name assigned to an activity by TPVirtual.
Examining the FIT file specification, it doesn't look to me like there's a standardized place to put an activity title, but perhaps a "developer data field" could be used for this (https://developer.garmin.com/fit/cookbook/developer-data/), instead? Either way, it would…

UI/UX: Facial hair and skin tone
Can you please add in more options when it comes to rider representation, and include facial hair? I look real funny clean shaven.
Likewise, I notice all the skin tones are essentially "white".15 votes -
MECHANICS: Default route for all workout rides
It would be convenient if we could set a default route for workout rides. As an example, being able to select a relatively flat route to be used for all steady-state type of rides. Or simply to be able to select one specific route to be used for ALL workout rides.

PAIRING: Kickr snap bug?
I use TPV on my laptop. Two weeks ago, I explored routes and scheduled a challenge, closed my laptop (but left TPV open), then went downstairs to start the workout. When I reopened, it seemed like everything connected correctly. But when I entered the pen, TPV couldn’t read any wattage from my KickR. I closed TPV and reopened the app, which reconnected.
Could be weird to replicate, but I hope it helps.
