App not loading course any of them
The latest update oct. 18 doesn't work on my windows 10 machine. When I select and course or ride with a pacer the screen gets to the downloading screen animation and locks up. I tried a fresh install on a different windows 10 machine and got the same result

Issues with Heart Rate Monitor
I have tried to sync my heart rate monitor (brand new Garmin HRM 600) to training peaks virtual. It does show as paired and even shows current battery level, however it doesn't show heart rate. I know the strap is working correctly as my Garmin Watch sees it and heart rate date. I have turned off the connection on the watch and bluetooth on my phone and repaired the device multiple times with no change in the issue. I want to use the platform, but besides power heart rate data is my next critical metric to have.

This should work already, so is probably best handled via support rather than a product enhancement. Please feel free to reach out to virtual@trainingpeaks.com where someone will be able to help you get this working.

FTP TEST OPTION
I would like an option for FTP Test
2 votesMany thanks for your message and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is already fully supported in TPV - either as a ramp test, or 20 minute max effort test. Simply go to the workout menu and select the FTP test of your choice!

GPX File Upload World Issue
I was excited to see the release of the GPX Upload feature. I uploaded a GPX of my SeaOtter Fuego XL race 2025. The map builder had real problems with the profile. The event started with the bike submerged and it had trouble rendering the road to match the GPX file at multiiple points.
What did work was the power to the trainer and it was a very realistic experience. Note the GPX was of a MTB race. Can't wait to see this feature continue to improve. It will really help with events where the terrain cannot be replicated locally.1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this issue is now fixed in the latest release and the (unintended) swamp biome is no more. If you try again then the world should now be drawn as expected.

AI FTP Detection
Utilise AI to analyse previous rides to determine changes in FTP and make recommended FTP updates once enough rides have been undertaken to generate sufficient data for meaningful analysis and recalculation to be undertaken. This has the potential to encourage riders to ride FP Virtual more, to get enough rides in to trigger the FTP recalculation and also removes barriers for those who are put off by having to undertake a FTP test.
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that TPV does exactly what you suggest already! Even when just riding normally, if it detects that your power profile suggests that you have improved your FTP then it will notify you of that at the end of the ride.

Did you change the fit-file format?
For a few weeks now, it seems that the Fit File format has changed. Recently, rides are always recognized as MTB after uploading them to Garmin and no longer as virtual rides. This is not ideal.
1 voteMany thanks for your message and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The FIT file format hasn't changed for a very long time, so we suspect that something else must have changed in the Garmin import process to have caused this.

Keep the events list clean with GPXplore
When GPXplore goes live, how do we avoid the public calendar being packed full of people testing (or not even testing) routes?
I don't mind everyone being able to publish public events, but if there is not even any intention for it to be a proper race, I think more can be done to hide it.
Idea 1: Have a test route function that allows you to explore a synced route with the F9 camera without setting up an event.
Idea 2: have a 'race now' button in the event organisation pane which never hits the public calendar
Idea 3:…
4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release makes new events private by default which will significantly reduce the number of GPXplore "test" events from appearing on the main calendar for everyone else to see.

Hub created events - in-ride pop up
If I create an event in the HUB whilst warming up, and then enter it, a pop up should appear in game with the usual countdown to start of event
2 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release now includes a change that does exactly as you suggest. Any event that you create, you will by default be signed up to, and therefore automatically get in-app notification of when it is about to start.

Allow for series rankings input in to TPV hub
Currently for series even organisers need to host results on their own servers, a Google docs or post them in various social media channels. It would be great if you could upload a csv which displays series rankings in TPV hub.
This can start off MVP (a table with some key columns) and more configuration options be added at later dates.
4 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this is now being implemented on https://tpvirtualhub.com with several series currently being trialled ahead of a wider launch.

World Routes
Hi, just some feedback on the new World Routes - I have been using the create event option to ride the Passo Stelvio and just wanted to do a training ride so I ticked the box for 'require code' thinking that this would make it private - not that I'm anti social, I just wanted to ride it on my own at a leisurely pace. But I still had more than 30 people join my ride???
Also, would be really nice if you could come back down but you get stuck at the top going round and round3 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
As has already been commented, these will have been bots that were automatically added to the event to provide company / interest / drafting. If you prefer to ride alone, simply toggle the option on the event creation screen to turn off the bots.

I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.27 - which is out today), introduces a brand new experience - GPXplore.- that enables you to ride any route you like simply by uploading a GPX file, exactly as you suggest.
Initially we've opened up testing of GPXplore to everyone with a small number of iconic "World Routes", and will rollout the ability to upload your own routes (which can of course include the Gran Fondo routes as you suggest) over the course of September. Thank you again for your suggestion, and hope that you enjoy riding whatever routes you want, whenever you want, on TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Duo Nomand gpx with training partner to calvulate prior what power to target
I am doing a 2 up TT called Duo Normand. Would it be possible to ride the real life route with my tt partner to help us know what power to best target for the event? Like s proper 2 man tt on a real life route.

The new GPXplore experience that has just been released will allow you to upload custom GPX files of whatever route you want, and ride them with whoever you want, so hopefully this will give you everything you are looking for.
Currently we're testing the feature with a limited set of iconic World Routes, but the full experience where you can upload any route you want will be coming later this month.

Crash report
2 crashes during one session. I was doing a structured training session by a 3rd party
Ideally if a crash occurs I would like an option to resume the previous ride
TPV has been pretty flawless up until now.

Fix Strava Connection
Despite offering a connection to Strava, the setup does not work. It keeps "scanning" forever without progressing.
This needs fixing1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this issue, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Strava Connection Issues
I know that it is possible to connect TP Virtual to Strava, but despite numerous attempts to do so, it just doesn't seem to be working.
When following the guide to connect the accounts, I select strava and then receive a 'scanning' message underneath the strava icon on TPv. This doesn't seem to change or progress, despite lengthy waits, and I wonder if this is an issue others have experienced?
I'm using TPv on IOS 18.5 on iPhone 16e.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Any suggestions to resolve this?

Better listing / advertising of events.
Have a 24hr "Master Schedule" of all repeating platform events.
Have a tab under the events section for all current / upcoming race series where multiple stages contribute to an overall GC.
Have better advertising for big events.
2 votesMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest few releases have significantly improved the listings of events, in particular removing many of the repeating events to make the human created ones clearer to see, and making events private by default to further reduce the number and make events that you can enter easier to find. We've also revamped the website (https://tpvirtualhub.com) to include a new section that explicitly lists all the live series events making these easier to find too.

Update Error
When launching TP Virtual, I received the 'Downloading Update" it makes it to 100% goes to 'installing' & the large TPV screen disappears for a smaller updater box. It has a TPV icon with a red ! and only makes it 20% of the way to the update and disappears.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
I've tried logging in as other users with the same result. Including AdminAttached are the log files.
I'm on WIN 10

This sounds like your install has become corrupted (potentially due to the internet connection being interrupted mid-way through downloading an update). This is something we are currently investigating, but in the meantime please reach out to the TrainingPeaks support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) who can help you reinstall the release which should clear the problem in the short term.

Pause heart rate verification if not riding!
Please pause the heart rate verification in a race with 0 watts or cadence! I'm constantly getting warnings in a race when coasting down a big hill as my heart rate quickly drops quite low when not riding. Tonight I was kicked from a hare and hounds race as I had to wait 2.5 minutes before I could start and my heart rate slowed down too much. I didn't see any warning until I started riding and instantly was kicked.
6 votesMany thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that this issue has been addressed in the latest release. Any issues with HRMs is now much more clearly displayed (so you've got a better chance of fixing it) and now no longer results in being removed from the event, just slowed down until it's fixed, giving you more leeway to address any issues and continue your race.

A minor glitch on Phone Home course with sprint banners
Not in the pic how some live split locations are skipped on Phone Home course (in a Team Trial Event at least).
When you pass through those locations you get two live splits pop up on your screen as seen in the second screen shot.
Perhaps the sprint locations are too close to one another on this short course?
1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your continued support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
I'm delighted to say that the latest release (v0.4.27) fixes this bug.
