  1. The velodrome was a quick MVP add, but it would be great to give this some attention - particularly in terms of banking and physics.

  3. It should be possible to freeform configure the HUD - place datafields or elements wherever you want, change the font, change the size, remove the borders, etc.

It should also be possible to save presets, so you can have a different configuration for racing, workouts, free rides etc.

  4. The ARR (all-rounder rank) list should be displayed publicly so that you can see how you stack up against other riders, and give you incentive to perform and progress. It also encourages you to race in different formats and distances.

The other good thing about ARR is that it is not sandbaggable, as your ARR is not used to determine which pen you enter in a race (that is the course specific rank which is hidden).

  5. The finish line in all virtual racing sims is dull - there is no celebration, no podium, no photo finish or specific finish line camera. All of these things could make finishes much more exciting and viewable.

Finish line celebration animations could be unlockable.

  7. When I do a ride, there are no Strava segments on the routes. I’m not sure if this is a system limitation or if no one has created them yet, but you should proactively create good segments before random people create not-so-great segments.

  8. Using HR to control the power would be great to make it easier to stay within your Zone 2 HR zone on extended Free rides and Workouts.
I have used this mode in another training platform and found it very useful.
HR is set by the user and is changeable by 5 beats up and down with each click of the UP/DN arrows, the platform controls the power to keep you within 2 - 3 beats of target. Initially it would need to ramp up slowly to get you to the target zone.

  9. You recently declined a persons suggestion (on/off toggle to identity bots)

This after event scenario does zero to help during a group ride, event, etc. to be able to chat with other riders, ask questions, etc. We need to know Bots from real humans DURING the activity.
Today's group ride, several riders seemed frustrated to who was a real human and who wasn't. This was a group ride, not a race, so being able to 'talk' is something leisurely riders like to do.
It is hard to ask a rider to come back to the group or help them to…

  10. Add info about length and elevation gain of the route when in workout mode.

This will make it easier to select "finishable" routes for certain workouts.

  11. Support for Picture in Picture mode on ATV would allow us to watch e.g. Netflix while riding in TPV. The idea is to have Netflix occupy the full screen and have TPV on a smaller overlay in the corner

  12. Could you implement different sized riders by using the user height data? This could potentially also require size selection for the bikes as well. I mean why should 160cm user look same sized as 210cm user in TPV?

I assume the user height and weight data is already used in calculating the resistance when riding uphill (how about downhill?) but do you also consider the height for the increased body surface area to have an increased wind resistance? Or when pacing a taller rider one could have more/better draft?

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

To confirm, the TrainingPeaks Virtual physics engine already takes into account the height and weight of riders, so - to use your example - you will already experience a higher drafting effect when sitting behind a larger rider.

All that is currently missing is the graphical representation of that.

  13. I have often trained using a non-game type interface in which I can just see the numbers and I've found this very useful. can TPV introduce a feature to replicate this where you can make all of the other riders invisible so i can have the road to myself. Sometimes, particularly when training in z2 (ie most of the winter) it can be a major distraction if another rider overtakes you and you have to resist the urge to chase after them. A button that makes them invisible would be a great help. Many thanks. Jon

  14. The current workout options, are erg, terrain and flat - however the issue with flat is that as you accelerate, you have to shift gear to account for the increase in speed. The way other apps deal with this is a slope mode - so rather than simulate a flat road, they simulate a climb, so you can very easily adjust to your target power without the increasing speed requiring gear shifts. Usually this slope is also adjustable ala Zwift.

  16. Currently we can hit L to make a lap (not a course lap) but other than putting a marker in the fit file its not much use.

I'd like to see lap metrics as data fields for the HUD to go with it like, LAP avg power, LAP NP, Lap avg HR, LAP avg Cadence, Lap time. Like you would on a bike head unit.

Useful for pacing climbs, adhoc intervals etc.

  19. Currently, on iPad, when you extend your screen to another (larger) screen you can only extend rear or side views.
It would be much better if I could extend the main HUD screen to the larger screen and choose the iPad to show one of the less important screen (eg rear view)

  20. Hello, I am using the pacer bots for aerobic rides, warming up and ideally TTT practice. The issue is that the faster bots are only on hilly courses, so if you happen to join them when they're descending a mountain it's not the greatest warmup/training.

My suggestion is a flat/rolling/hilly course for each pacer, so if you want a certain type of workout you can join the right group for that. To reduce confusion, it could possibly be a sub menu in the style of "what pace do you want to ride today? > what terrain do you want to…
