WORLD: Pacebots - More Pacebot Route Options
Expand each "family" of Pacebot to offer more route variation. e.g. have a Roxy Ruby, Robert Ruby, Rachel Ruby. All would be 215w-265w but do a different route.
Ideally there would be at least 3; one doing a flat route, one doing a hilly route, and one in the middle.

If you are open to suggestion keep reading, if not stop. What I do is create my own event. I decide the route, number of laps and bots. I used the cruise control to set a steady bot like pace. I frequently use aggressive bots, shut off the cruise control and chase them down to do intervals. Using this makes the options limited to your imagination.

I see now there is a similar one floating around with some solid votes and this could be merged with that. The open question would be: how far could you reasonably take it in terms of options for routes per range?

Pace bots are one of my favorite features, but compared to the "Z" guys, current TPv options are really limited. One pace per route and the routes don't change up much. More routes per pace bot range would be great.
Even choose your own adventure... pick a bot and a route. But maybe too resource intensive. I suppose this could be approximated with setting up your own event but seems a little clunky vs just having a few courses to choose for each fixed pace bot range.

I have friends who want to use pacers, like Obsidian, but that pace is too much for them. One is just starting out in cycling, the other has had surgery on their foot and hand. Both have premium membership. I'd like to make them feel comfortable as they build their abilities. Make TrainingPeaks something more.

One option could be to switch the routes covered by the Pacebots on a weekly basis, allowing for a more dynamic and varied schedule.
It wouldn't be necessary to provide a "family" of Pacebots. -

Yes! Basically higher wattage pacers on the flat courses.

The stronger pacers typically use more lumpy routes, which makes some sense - however while the pace on the climbs is good, it's then followed by a long period of super easy spinning down the descents. If you keep the power on, you drop the pacer and have to try and regroup.
It would be really good to have a pacer which hits those same numbers on the climbs, but maintains the power on the descents or has shorter/shallower descents between ramps, giving a more consistent workout.

This is a great idea. I use the pace bots for my zone 2 rides and a bit of variety in the routes would be a welcome addition.

Hello, I am using the pacer bots for aerobic rides, warming up and ideally TTT practice. The issue is that the faster bots are only on hilly courses, so if you happen to join them when they're descending a mountain it's not the greatest warmup/training.
My suggestion is a flat/rolling/hilly course for each pacer, so if you want a certain type of workout you can join the right group for that. To reduce confusion, it could possibly be a sub menu in the style of "what pace do you want to ride today? > what terrain do you want to ride today?"
I know I could set up an event to achieve all the above but a simply accessible version from the pacer menu would be great. It would also be familiar to those coming from a certain other platform, which has pacers on a wide variety of courses.
