TSS issue
When recording a workout, the calculated TSS is displayed on the screen and the same is displayed when you finish the workout. But when the workout is loaded into training peaks, it displays a different TSS, even though the services are synchronized and the data should be identical.
0 votesMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Any discrepancy in values is almost certainly due to your FTP or weight not being set to the same values in TrainingPeaks and TrainingPeaks Virtual. If you ensure that these are synchronized (in TrainingPeaks Virtual, use the option on Main Menu > Profile > My Profile), then the TSS values should be identical.

tested... and not works at all
Hello: I've tested on a XPS 9343 and doesn't appear anything, black screen, after load everything and evermore.
Over iPhone XS and iPad Air 2, I can reach the world, but doesn't respond at all with my bluetooth devices (even paired) Coospo HW9 doesn't recognize as heartbeat sensor, my static bike is a Bodytone SMB v1.2.
You have to do many things yet... seems powerful, but needs to be accesible for everyone.1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This is probably better to be handled by the TrainingPeaks Virtual Customer Support team (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) rather than here as an enhancement request. Please can you reach out to them and they'll be able to help you, and we'll close this here.

Wattage difference between TrainingPeaks Virtual and Garmin Edge 840
Hello,
today i had my first Workout at TrainingPeaks Virtual. I choosen my Quarq Powermeter via ANT+ and track the Workout in the same time with my Gamin Edge 840. The overall Wattage is nearly the same, but when i compared the peak power per time, there are high differences. If you want, take a look at the Data, powered by DC Rainmaker Analyser:

i hope it helps

Michael1 voteHi Michael - many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The power data displayed (and written out to FIT files) in TrainingPeaks Virtual is just the raw data being transmitted from your powermeter - there's no filtering or interpretation etc of the values. If TPV says you're doing 200 Watts, then it's because your powermeter has told TPV that you're doing 200 Watts.
As such, any discrepancy between multiple recordings is as a result of your powermeter sending different values to different devices.

I accidentally turned off my Bluetooth and I cannot find at all where to turn the Bluetooth back on. Consequently, I cannot run my TPV. I need to get this fixed ASAP so I can train indoors. Can you please help me as soon as possible? Great.

Many thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Whether a trainer can be calibrated by a third party application or not is determined by the trainer firmware, so unfortunately this is something that would need to be enabled by Wahoo, rather than something that TrainingPeaks Virtual can change.
-
Change the MPH to calibrate your bike.
The MPH to calibrate your bike is 23mph..... is it possible to lower that to 17 or 18 mph? I don't care how hard I try I am not able to get up to 23 mph so I have not been able to use ERG mode at all.
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Unfortunately the speed required for trainer calibration is determined by the trainer firmware, and not by TrainingPeaks Virtual. All TrainingPeaks Virtual does is display whatever speed is requested by the trainer. As such, this is something that you would need to follow up with your trainer manufacturer to get them to change it.

Connection for kickr climb accessory
At the moment pairing menu isn't recognising wahoo kickr climb
1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Note that the Kickr Climb is designed to only pair directly with the Kickr, and not with any other application (including TrainingPeaks Virtual). TrainingPeaks Virtual sends gradient data to your trainer, and then the trainer relays that information to the Kickr Climb.
It's therefore correct that you can't pair the Climb to TrainingPeaks Virtual...that's not a bug, but the device working as Wahoo intended it to work.

Bug Report: Calibrate Trainer Failing on WaHoo Core
Unable to calibrate on WaHoo Kickr CORE
See attached error1 voteMany thanks for letting us know about this, and your support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
The calibration process is entirely managed by the firmware on the trainer, and TrainingPeaks Virtual merely displays whatever information that the trainer broadcasts. As such, this is something that you would need to speak with Wahoo about.

Stray bullets in the game?
Is it me or am I seeing stray bullets in the game? It MUST be wind or the game trying to illistrate wind.

Bug note - 30 minute sweet spot got stuck at the top power after initial interval
After moving from a warmup pace effort with Suzie Sapphire and starting a 30 minute sweet spot effort the power got stuck after the initial 5 minute top effort

This sounds like an issue that Customer Support (virtual@trainingpeaks.com) can help resolve, rather than a longer term feature request. Can you please reach out to them directly instead of tracking it here.

ARR calculation
Come up with a solution so that, even if one of the racing categories is Carbon, a rider is given an ARR rating.
As example, my ARR defaults to 200 at present as I am Carbon in climbing, however if my other 3 ratings are added together and divided by 4, my potential ARR would be around 650. That seems a fair way to categorise me as 200 is too low1 voteMany thanks for your suggestion and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This is working as intended - your ARR is your all-rounder ranking (literally A.R.R.) and therefore reflective of your abilities across all types of riding. If you don't do many climbing events, and therefore there's no climbing data for TPV to accurately categorise your climbing ability, then it also can't calculate your ARR.
If you do another couple of climbing events, then you will get an ARR....but if you're not an all rounder, then you won't have an all-rounder ranking!

Many thanks for your suggestion, and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This behaviour is intentional to avoid problems with the "Spiral of Doom" while using ERG mode at low (or, in this case, no) cadence. If you don't want this protective behaviour though, you can simply turn it off using the option in Main Menu > Options > Trainer Settings.

20 min FTP test malfunction
Hi George
I've attempted the test and when it gets to the 20 min section it remains in ERG mode and won't let my power go above 130W. I'm using a wahoo kickr snap, with a garmin cadence and HR monitor. How do I see the response, do you email me it?1 voteMany thanks for your message and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Bug Report - Dropped Controllable
I've had a repeated issue where in the middle of the ride, the resistance control drops out on my connected trainer. In paired options, it still shows as connected, but the resistance no longer changes with the terrain. This happened somewhere around 16:45 and after I noticed is I started fiddling with the settings to see if I could get it to start back up. Note that I am 100% certain the resistance worked at the start as I felt the 10%+ gradients. On my second lap there was no change in resistance.
1 voteMany thanks for your comment and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
Your log file shows that the connection between your trainer and TrainingPeaks Virtual dropped out at the time you mentioned. This isn't something that TrainingPeaks Virtual has any control over, but most likely a signal interference problem in your environment (e.g. other Bluetooth devices in your neighbourhood flooding the airwaves with "noise"). If this is a persistent problem for you, we would recommend trying an ANT+ connection instead as that uses a different radio frequency and therefore - in your environment - may be less interrupted.

Still struggling with intervals
So when I do intervals it taking around 20 seconds for the brake to adapt to the change in power and cadence.
You sort of see this also when you start a ride it takes a few seconds before you start moving.
So I’d like to see an improved response time. I’m sure those that race also see the delay in response time.1 voteMany thanks for your comment and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
This sounds more like an issue with your trainer than a suggestion for a new feature in TrainingPeaks Virtual. Please feel free to contact Customer Support at virtual@trainingpeaks.com who may be able to help you with the issue.

Many thanks for your comment and support for TrainingPeaks Virtual.
There is no smoothing of HR data in TrainingPeaks Virtual - it just displays whatever data is being broadcast by your HRM in real time. So if in any given second TrainingPeaks Virtual is displaying 150 bpm, it means that that second your HRM must have transmitted that your heart rate was 150 bpm. If the data displayed is not accurate, it is therefore because the hardware transmitting the data is not accurate.

Ability to resync/push completed Virtual workout back to Training Peaks.
Started todays workout with positivity for App, ended in frustration!
Kickr v5, Direct connect (LAN) & Apple TVApple TV remote works better
Single login page (Less clicks)
Todays synced work shows first (Less Clicks)
Prefer virtual ride feel over Zwift (How the view tilts and brakes in view 3)
Start ERG interval workout (Frustration starts)
No ERG control, stuck in terrain (matches world) Power & Cad showing
Checked trainer profile defaulted to Blue tooth, changed to LAN still no control.Stop workout, delete so TrainingPeaks data field is not effected, Restarted APP and all devices, still the same...Repeated
3rd…

There was an isolated issue with synchronisation of FIT files from TPV to TP at the time of your ride, that was quickly resolved. In general, the files already synchronise for every ride, and we'll continue to look at making that process more resilient in the future rather than tracking this as a separate issue in UserVoice.
The other points you raise are actually already covered by other entries in UserVoice, so will close this ticket down and we'll still track the completion of them.
