  1. Often when editing comments the post-workout input box loses focus after a short period of time. For example, if I've just paused from typing for a few seconds.

    As described here: https://gist.github.com/olanb7/784a7bb491cd6fb8004f

I was advised to post the bug here via twitter: https://twitter.com/olanb7/status/507439741974102016

    It's highly annoying ;)

Verified on Chrome/39.0.2138.3 Mac 10.9.4 Build 13E28.. but it's been happening for as long as the beta has been available for me.

  2. Add the Map & Graph zones overlay to the new beta web app. This is a great way to visualize the effort(s) of a workout at a glance

  3. TrainerRoad.com is becoming more and more popular, especially during inclement weather.

It would be great to have their data auto-imported (or auto published) into Training Peaks. Saves the hassle of downloading from the web, then uploading again to TP.

  4. Have a way to toggle hidden workouts on/off the coach's calendar view or maybe just shade hidden workouts a different color so they don't get lost between non-hidden workouts.

  5. The middle of tri season is kind of a bad time for major change. Not happy about it, but I've started trying out MFP today. Not sure where I will find the time to print out all of my old meals, given we have less than 2 weeks notice.

  6. It is frustrating having to upload workouts separately. Garmin (eg 810/620) are now auto uploading wirelessly from device to Garmin Connect but to get to TP this has to be exported from Connect then manually uploaded to TP or the device needs to plugged in and uploaded. Ideally I would like a button in TP that imports all Garmin files for a date range.

  8. Please include heart rate variability (HRV) as a TP metric. Many people use HRV. Yes, I realize that some people have some skepticism about HRV, but that shouldn't matter on the issue of including it as an available TP metric. Those who want to use HRV can; those who don't can ignore it (just the same as for all other TP metrics). Thanks.

An update to our iOS app that adds HRV to the list of supported metrics was released today. It may take 24 hours until Apple prompts you to install the update, so keep watch for it. There are numerous other UX updates to the app that we hope you will like too.

Our Android app will be updated towards the end of next week. That update will include support for HRV. Once the Android app is released, we will mark this feature request as completed. Thank you all for your patience, I know it took us a long time to get to this point.

We have been working with HRV app developers to save HRV data directly to your TrainingPeaks account. So far the SweetBeat HRV app has been updated and released. The HRV Plus app should be updated soon along with a few others that we will announce…

  9. For building plans, my biggest pet peeve is having to close the workout box. I've created all the workouts I need and just want to drag the workout to the right day, drag the next workout to the next day, and so on. the way it is now, the workout automatically opens when you put it on a day (i'm sure the intention is so that you can alter it). I never alter them, and would LOVE an option to drag a workout to a day WITHOUT the workout details opening

  10. Would like to choose the # training weeks/ rest week ratio in the ATP rather than defaulting based on age. Ideally one could set it to reasonable range but at least it should offer 3 weeks to 1 week or 2 weeks to 1 week as two options.

  11. Would there be an antilogarithm that could detect when an athlete's data begins to show signs of over training based on how much their TSS's create the ATL and CTL to ramp up too quickly?

Maybe flagging up a warning or notification just to give the athlete a headsup?

With our new TSS based ATP, you can see ramp rate warnings if your plan exceeds ramp rate limits.

  12. "An idea for improvement to the "Daily Calories" chart that is available on the Athletes Dashboard.

Similar to how some other charts show a "total" number at the top, I would suggest a value displayed which shows the Net aggregation of the athletes calorie Burned, Consumed, or Burned/Consumed amounts, over the dashboard timeframe.

This would help a user easier understand how their weight should be trending over the same timeframe, and where discrepancies exist, would allow the athlete a feedback mechanism to perhaps adjust their BMR, or calories burned during exercise amounts."

  13. I would like to be able to click a link in a post workout notification email and have it resolve to the specific Athlete's referenced Workout and open up a new comment for response. Even if I had to login into TP in between, this would be a huge benefit, click, login, type comment, on to the next one. Currently I feel the comment functionality is too cumbersome to be useful. As it stands, if I use comments I have to 1) click a link in the notification email 2) log in to TP 3) As a coach select the…

  14. TrainingPeaks is the center of my training universe, but there are many peripheral services and devices that are also important. Instead of trying to make TO into a 'do everything' service I'd suggest that you focus on your core and provide a robust API to allow users to bring it all together. 'Quantified self' type devices and nutrition tracking services would interest me the most. Instead of 'add withings x' or 'support my net diary' or whatever, just make it dead simple for such services to upload data to TP (which you're already doing a pretty good job of on…

We’re already working on a much improved API to enable 3rd parties to provide us data. It’s ongoing, but we’re fully committed to it already.

  15. I train with multiple pairs of shoes to even the mileage and though I can track them individually in each work out, to check the mileage on a specific pair I have to go into a work out, select equipment, then go through each shoe to see where they are.

Could you please add a graph, or something to the like so I can click in one place and see what the mileage is on all of the shoes I have loaded into the program at one time?

We have equipment data shown now in the settings for equipment in the Beta app. In the future, we’ll add a Dashboard chart.

Good request we’ve heard before.. having a “read only” view of training. We do have a public view, which is really just an “unlisted” way to look at someone’s training. That is, it is not found in a search engine or discoverable by other users. You can find it in the classic mode: Settings, Social&Sharing, Public Profile.

  18. As a coach, the workouts I design using %FTP automatically show the calculated power target on a web browser but not on the mobile app. This means my athletes have to calculate their power target "in the field" if they're using their phone. This is the single biggest complaint I receive from my athletes over and over. "I wish the mobile app would just calculate my power target like the web version". Adding this functionality would make the app a central part of the TP experience especially for younger athletes who rarely spend time on a computer.

We’ve implemented “full screen mode” to accommodate this.
