  1. I've used TrainingPeaks for many years. But I don't race bikes or run. I'm 61 years old. I use TrainingPeaks to track my progress on DVD workouts like P90X3 and Insanity Max :30. How about adding some features that fit these types of general cross-training workouts?

  2. Virtual Coach was a great tool to use as a guideline for workout types for the given phase of training. This allowed you to choose athletes weaknesses and gave workouts to fit the need.

  3. Take off the CTL, ATL and TSB on the app that the athlete uses. It can be very ordinary for their psychology when they see these values.

  4. In Classic you could click an arrow (play) in the data view and it was like watching a movie of the workout. Made it easier to review the workout data.

We would actually like to speed it up! However, the speed of the sync is not the issue. When using the GarminSync feature, the original device file is sent from Garmin Connect to TrainingPeaks. Since we receive the original file edits that are made on Garmin Connect would be in the file. Adding to that, the current .FIT file format does not have a field for title nor comment, so there is no place to even put those items. In the end we prefer to receive the original file, so there are no plans at this time to change the current behavior. Tapiriik uses a different API to communicate with Garmin. I am not sure, but the title and comments may be preserved using that service.

  6. The scatter plot feature COULD be a lot more useful than it is, if you could compare trailing averages of metrics rather than the instantaneous values.

For example, let's say I want to chart power and/or cadence vs. heart rate. Unfortunately, power can fluctuate rapidly during a ride, and heart rate does not respond instantaneously to changes in power - it ramps up or down over time.

The idea would be to compare "trailing averages" for scatter plot data. i.e. plot 60 second trailing average power vs. heart rate. The length of the trailing average should be configurable on a…

  8. Allow Adding nutrient info per workout (eg fields for grams of carbs, fat and protein consumed during the workout). This would allow you to review past workout nutritional info that worked well for a certain type of workout

Currently there are no plans to provide a file converter. The exported file will always be the originally uploaded file. There are online tools that do this already, and most device manufacturers provide this functionality as well.

  17. As per a recent correspondence w/ TPeaks Help Center, I understand the Routes function will not be available in the new product.

I'm all for upgrades & improving the product. With that, don't 'upgrade' by removing a function that I (& presumably, many others), have actively used for over a decade. PLEASE bring this back!

  18. Now that attachments can be accessed at the TrainingPeaks mobile app it would be great if, for example, a PDF could be viewed inside the app instead of having to open it in another app only to view it (no edits). Thanks.

  19. I coach over 20 clients through TP and use the messaging service with all of them! Clients send me last minute changes to their availability / race schedules etc almost exclusively through the messaging service. I need to be able to pick this up on the move and respond in order to provide the best quality coaching possible. Having a messaging feature in the app would allow me to do this

Based on usage data, we know that deleting workouts is not a typical behavior in our app. Whereas a coach swiping to reveal their list of athletes is a much more common action. So at this time we plan to leave this gesture as is. Thank you for the feedback.
