  2. It is a pity that the TSS calculation algorithm only takes into account duration and heart rate. To value 3 hours of cycling in the same way as 3 hours of running (at the same heart rate) for example does not seem the most accurate: the level of joint and metabolic stress has nothing to do with it.
I suggest making a TSS calculation algorithm that takes more factors into account.

    Thank you for your feedback!

The TSS model is based on the metabolic demands of training.

Roughly speaking, this is done by comparing your level of effort to your lactate threshold. This is how we can tell how much “stress” a workout was, and turn that into Fitness/Form/Fatigue that describe your fitness specific to endurance sport.

Generally, heart rate zones for running are higher than for cycling. This means that for TSS to best reflect your efforts, you should make sure your zones are correct for each.

TSS is not meant to account for the mechanical demands of different activities, like running vs cycling vs lifting weights.

This is an interesting problem in sport science, and a very challenging one because there are a lot more variables to consider when trying to quantify the loads that different tissues might experience. The first step is following a good plan from an experienced…

  3. I have been testing the new Workout sync to Suunto S9 watch using the new Suuntoplus Guides. A couple of suggestions:

    1) Show repeat number - Could be be in text at start of repeat, or in header on data screen
    2) Audible alert when outside target range -maybe beep on threshold, or 5 sec interval beeps when under or over
    3) Next step on Lap button press selection didn't seem to work for me
    4) Text is quite small - maybe cut down on number of fields displayed and have larger text for key fields, or have a second…

  4. I think it would be great if we could send our planned workouts from GARMIN back to Training Peaks.
I usually build my workouts on TP calendar and export to GARMIN. I have many GARMIN devices and 3 bikes and I do different workouts for each of them. Many times I want to take some planned workouts from GARMIN to TP calendar but this is not possible. I would REALLY appreciate if the programming team would work on it.

  5. I'm on the premium trial and I'm pretty impressed at the PMC chart. I'd like to check back on it from time to time but the 15 day trial is a tad short to get much from it, since the changes are fairly long term.

I wouldn't get enough from premium since I'm already using other tools to do some of the things that TP does and at the moment it's out of my budget.

Would it be possible to have a billing system that charges for features separately? e.g. I want to look at a PMC graph once or…

We appreciate the feedback and understand that this option my be ideal for some users but it's unlikely something we'll pursue at this time due to its complexity and low demand.

  6. good morning , I have a suggestion : as my coach sends me,my training program , in an Excel file , to be possible to upload to training Peaks that file .
the Excel file to be uploaded must have 11 columns :
    1 date
    2 the title of exercise
    3 the duration (minutes)
    4 distance
    5 average speed
    5 calories
    6 elevation gain
    7 TSS
    8 IF
    9 work
and one more column for description
if the columns are empty to be considered as zero values

  7. I use my scales every day to track my weight and fat percentage - so I get a good idea of where my weight is going. However due to the number of data points on the graph its hard to see where its going (and with the numbers fluctuating a lot)

Would it be possible to add a trend line to these graphs so we can see if we are heading in the right or wrong direction. Thanks.

  8. Can you introduce the RPE x Duration (min) - Foster method - in the statistics to be able to see the load of each session, week, month? This will be a great information to adapt the training.

  9. Need to be able to see HRV data along with the ATL and TSB to analyze fatigue levels. I can't figure out how to set this up.

  10. It would be useful, if you could get the average CTL (and others) over a time range such as 45 days, 90 days, 180 days, etc. When training for events the average CTL is a good indication of your readiness for the event. I have seen articles that state to do do this event you need to have averaged XX CTL for 6 months.

  12. The default and only option when adding or editing workouts, events, etc. is to have the pop-up for that workout in the center of the overall screen that shows the calendar. It would be great sometimes to be able to drag that to different parts of the screen or have the workout editor pop-up along the left or right side of the screen so that you could edit workouts while also looking at the overall calendar. I find myself opening extra tabs in my browser so that I can see the calendar and toggle between editing a workout or commenting…

  13. Saludos.

    Gracias.

  15. I would like to be able to track custom metrics over time. I use some of the "fixed" metrics like weight, pulse etc. However there are some metrics that I would like to track that there is no way in TrainingPeaks to track.

For example, I would like to track grip strength as one of my indicators/proxy for fatigue, but there is no way to add this as a custom metric or track it

  17. Upload, planned workouts into TrainingPeaks with .csv file. Without only having the option to built workouts using the Structured Workout Builder.

  18. I would like to plan my ATP for runners in kilometers in stead of hours. Runners want to know how many km they have to run in a week in stead of hours per week.
